Great Switch for our organization

Pros

You can access the system from anywhere you like which has really helped us. The staff loves the features and it is easy to learn.

Cons

Great relationship

Pros

Our key account manager excels at communication and issue resolution. This translates into prompt interactions with our billing clients and quick problem-solving. Our clients and we greatly appreciate this. Additionally we have the ability to suggest system improvements when encountering issues.

Mostly Good

Pros

There are so many pros to AdvancedMD that it's hard to know where to start. One of my favorite features is the Video Training Library which serves as a visual guide offering step-by-step explanations on various functions. Whether it's posting payments processing claims or adding demographics the training videos are just a click away making it easy to access support. The software's user-friendly interface allows for experimentation and testing of different aspects of the Practice Management module without fear. I've also noticed significant improvements in the product over the past five years and their social media platform "NEST" demonstrates their efforts to cater to both younger and older users by keeping it user-friendly.

Cons

The reporting functionality is lacking from an accounting perspective. The availability of Advanced Insight at an additional per-provider fee is not the desired solution. Increasing the subscription to AdvancedMD and including Advanced Insight would be a more favorable option.

Pros

The Advanced Support System and programs continue to grow alongside our company. We appreciate the integration of Advanced MD and Demand Force into the new program.

Cons

The new Legacy scheduler is not preferred at the moment but we are working on utilizing it more and adapting to the program.

Advanced MD is a great product!

Pros

It's impressive to see how AdvancedMD has improved over time and continues to integrate with all the necessary aspects.

Cons

Setting up templates requires significant effort. It would be helpful to have predefined fields that can be combined into a single template. Additionally configuring the word merge correctly can be complex.

Excellent Service

Pros

The software's customizability allows us to meet our business requirements easily. It is very user-friendly and straightforward with customizable tabs and reporting features.

Cons

Like any system there are minor limitations. Patient balances are only available on a line-by-line basis not by visit.

At my 1 year anniversary I am very much satisfied with my decision of AdvancedMD PM and EMR

Pros

AdvancedMD provides a complete PM/EMR solution that is extensive and comprehensive. It performs eligibility checks at least 34 hours before appointments.

Cons

Advance Ifax and PM are not compatible with Apple (IOS). The software only works with Twain scanner drives so Fujitsi scanners are not supported.

I'm trying to understand how to use it properly. Not sure I like it.

Pros

The scheduling feature located conveniently on the side allows me to easily access patient information and enter charges. Everything I need is available on one screen.

Cons

There are delays in the system and patient names do not automatically drop off the review list or remove from the top bar by the Dashboard. It would be beneficial to have an easier way to manage this. The delays can be frustrating and the Classic EHR was more time-efficient.

Beats the Rest of Them

Pros

As long-term customers we have found the PM portion of the program to be intuitive and user-friendly. By mastering all its aspects we have been able to provide improved patient care and run our operations more efficiently.

Cons

The customer support offered by AdvancedMD is better than most competitors. While it's not a significant advantage other software programs often have inadequate support. AdvancedMD provides decent support and they offer private one-on-one sessions for learning the billing section albeit at an additional cost.

Very easy to learn and use.

Pros

There are numerous useful reports for billing contract negotiation AR and patient demographics. It is easy to identify unbilled charts frequently performed procedures and the distribution of patients across financial classes or carriers. The schedule is also highly accessible providing a clear overview on a daily weekly or monthly basis.

Cons

Some reports do not allow specifying beginning and ending dates. For example to generate a report of worker's compensation patients seen in a given year a custom report with a fee is required.

AdvancedMD was selected for our billing service platform

Pros

AdvancedMD is user-friendly and straightforward. It offers exceptional support automated eligibility checks successful data conversions and advanced reporting through AdvancedInsight. The video training provided is among the best in terms of webinar training.

Cons

The canned reports in AdvancedMD are insufficient. The optional reporting feature in AdvancedInsight is costly. The Clearinghouse functions have limitations such as the inability to view a claim form without printing it. Printing a single claim form is also slow. Daily reconciliation reports have limitations particularly when reviewing them by user.

Great system with a few issues.

Pros

We have been using AdvancedMD for over 8 years and it has been a great experience. The software is very user-friendly and works well across various specialties.

Cons

There have been several system issues and bugs over the past year that have affected users. These include system slowness and crashes. While these issues may be due to growing pains they have been frustrating.

Overall satisfied with AdvancedMD's system!

Pros

The system is incredibly user-friendly easy to train on and most errors can be easily corrected. Both the PM and EHR modules are designed with user-friendliness in mind.

Cons

Reversals in the system require improvement as they are tedious and time-consuming. Incorrectly processed refunds cannot be voided and reprocessed leading to confusion in account records.

Best Practice Management System

Pros

Reliability is a top priority and the customer service is exceptional. The reporting capabilities are excellent and customizable making the learning process smooth.

Cons

AdvancedMD excels in their area of expertise. Some interfaces may not be available with certain EMRs possibly due to strategic reasons.

Pros

Our overall experience has been positive. The system is user-friendly and the support staff is helpful. We particularly value the patient portal and the Advanced Insight reporting tool. Our relationship manager is knowledgeable detail-oriented and attentive.

Cons

The patient call center could benefit from additional training. The implementation team should focus on improving the smaller details of onboarding an office.

Satisfied Long Standing Client

Pros

As long-time clients we have experienced the company's growth and the associated challenges. However overall our relationship with AdvancedMD has been favorable. They continually strive to enhance the client experience. Initially we had reservations about creating "online cases" for support concerned about turnaround time. However this process has turned out to be positive as we no longer need to spend time calling the support line and resolutions usually come within 34 hours. Having an assigned Relationship Manager who understands our specific office needs has been extremely helpful.

Cons

Like all software companies AdvancedMD has its issues but there is no specific area that stands out as a major concern.

There are times the system gets confusing but over all its a nice system.

Pros

The eligibility checking and billing functionality is excellent. The ability to call and immediately speak to a person for assistance is greatly appreciated.

Cons

Resolving billing issues in the hold bucket can be challenging to understand and require excessive steps. Improving the billing process and making it easier to correct mistakes would be beneficial.

They are the best. Their EHR is extremely customizable. Support is amazing

Pros

The software is user-friendly with a clean interface. Faxes are directly integrated into patient charts and the company values user input by incorporating their ideas constantly.

Cons

Creating templates was more challenging than expected despite having a wide selection available. It would be beneficial if more practices were aware of these templates.
