Pros
It has a simple interface and performs well with billing and claims. The built-in reports are satisfactory but there is room for improvement in terms of reporting capabilities.
Cons
Performance issues arise such as sudden changes in the system's appearance without prior notification. Additionally patient age calculations on appointment lists and reports are inaccurate.

“I did not have a good experience with AdvancedMD at all.
Pros
The Practice Management side of AdvancedMD is highly appreciated particularly for its ease of use in billing tasks.
Cons
The billing process lacks transparency as AdvancedMD significantly increased costs within three months which is unacceptable. Moreover they refuse to honor the initially quoted price.

“My review of AdvancedMD
Pros
The EHR system is highly programmable and the ability to adjust screen size and letter format is beneficial for data input.
Cons
The customer support provided by AdvancedMD is extremely poor. While the staff is friendly they initially fail to acknowledge the existence of a problem requiring substantial effort to convince them otherwise. Even after acknowledging the issue they often lack a solution and suggest waiting for the next upgrade to potentially fix it. Moreover the software is not fully compatible with Apple devices leading to additional steps and complexities in converting information into meaningful notes. The Word merge feature is complicated and challenging to program resulting in significant expenses and the need to hire AdvancedMD staff for assistance. This unexpected and painful process has cost our office thousands of dollars and a month's worth of time. To cope with these difficulties we have limited ourselves to using only a few templates that we already have. Fortunately as a specialist with a focused practice this limitation is manageable.

“Frequent server crashes and runaround
Pros
I have been really pleased with the spring 2017 interface refresh they rolled out as it made the check-in process and viewing billing statements much clearer and easier to navigate. I also like that a co pay pop up now appears on the initial hover over each patient which streamlines those front-desk tasks.
Cons
We've had far too many incidents where the servers crashed and customer support gave us the runaround instead of real help. It's aggravating to have to manually correct errors that can be triggered by simple changes. There are recurring bugs that erase our progress which is unacceptable and the overall lag feels almost like dial-up, especially during busy periods.

The overall functionality of AdvancedMD is exceptional. It offers the convenience of logging in from any computer or even from a mobile device allowing access to important information like early patient availability. The software operates seamlessly with various components working together like a finely tuned machine. The appointment schedule is particularly impressive serving as a multitasking tool that provides easy access to numerous functions. Charge entry is smooth and the software's capability to quickly search for diagnosis and procedure codes is valuable. The auto-posting feature for insurance payments is incredibly efficient accurately adjusting amounts and correctly allocating patient responsibilities within minutes. Another notable advantage is the compatibility with voice text entry such as using "Dragon" which greatly improves SOAP note creation. Regardless of the specialty or type of provider AdvancedMD covers all the necessary bases. Having used billing and practice management software since the 80s I can confidently say that AdvancedMD is worth a close look and a test drive.
Cons
It would be beneficial to have the ability to perform "Diagnosis pointing" allowing for the definition of a specific Dx code as the primary one for each line item. This feature would particularly benefit practice types that involve repetitive or similar treatments such as physical therapy or chiropractic care. Additionally having a somewhat automated EHR note creation functionality for visits would be helpful considering AdvancedMD's extensive library of templates which is impressive. However it's important to note that the training videos provided by AdvancedMD primarily focus on medical billing rather than mental health billing which can be disappointing for those in the mental health field.

“I can't say enough about every aspect of AMD. Their software is extremely easy to use.
Pros
The software is user-friendly and continually improves based on user feedback. The support team is excellent and provides guidance throughout the entire process.

Pros
I like the simplicity ease and speed of the EHR software. The customer service provided by the EHR team is friendly responsive and always available when needed. Both my EHR implementation specialist and PM implementation specialist have been readily accessible and helpful. The software has significantly saved our practice time and was quick to learn. I also like the automatic log-out feature after a set time frame. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate this software an 8 or 9 for its overall performance.
Cons
The training videos are overwhelming but provide a substantial amount of information considering the software's price.

I am highly satisfied with the scheduling software due to its ease of learning and usage. The availability of support is commendable as the team is respectful knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Additionally I have had a positive experience with the Relationship Manager who played a crucial role in our transition to AdvancedMD. Over the years she has consistently demonstrated professionalism expertise and attentiveness making her a reliable resource for any inquiries.
Cons
Some updates have caused functional issues but AdvancedMD actively addresses and resolves these problems.

Once familiar with the software navigation becomes relatively easy.
Cons
Over the past three months we have experienced several billing errors that remain unresolved. Despite bringing these issues to the attention of AdvancedMD we have received no resolution or returned calls as promised. It's disheartening to see that refunding errors on the software side are not given the same importance as prompt payment from customers. If we were to withhold payment for two months our services would be interrupted. However AdvancedMD has not shown any urgency or commitment to rectify their errors. Despite multiple conversations with different individuals the issue remains unresolved and continues to impact our operations. This lack of attention and failure to address the problem has caused significant frustration and dissatisfaction with the company.

The software has impressive capabilities and the advanced patient feature is well-received. Checking in patients through an iPad adds convenience to the process.
Cons
The response time is slow and there is a lack of accountability. Our two-physician practice switched to AdvancedMD for billing two months ago but we have encountered numerous issues. We currently have 90 unsubmitted claims because the correct address couldn't be found. We opened a case five weeks ago but there was no response until today and even then it was admitted that resources weren't allocated to our account properly. Escalating the issue has been fruitless and promises made by AdvancedMD have not been followed through. They failed to set up agreements for our DME causing significant cash flow problems. Implementation was a nightmare with trainers who couldn't guide us on sending orders or faxes through the EMR. We paid for templates to be built but they contained incorrect CPT codes and fixing the problems required additional payment. This entire experience with AdvancedMD has been an absolute nightmare and I deeply regret choosing this company.

Advanced Insight has allowed us to fully customize our reports freeing us from relying on pre set templates. We now have access to every piece of data in the system, allowing us to effortlessly meet our clients' unique reporting requirements.
Cons
Pricing wise it is disappointing that Insight incurs an additional cost. Considering the large number of users we have, paying for Insight per physician becomes quite expensive.
