“Great Medical Billing Features Software
Pros
A Great feature of reporting and analytics. It saves both money and time.
Cons
It is a great automated software but not user friendly and little less efficient in terms of functionality. It takes a lot more time than expected.

Pros
There is very little positive to say about it.
Cons
The scheduler is extremely poor and patient billing, receipts and statements are even worse. Our doctor now spends twice as much time on charts which is not cost effective. To put it simply, nothing is straightforward!

Pros
I really like the billing system and the ability to check eligibility real time. The system also manages denials very well. You can also customize templates easily.
Cons
The EMR side of things are clunky and too many steps to perform single transaction. They have also given many options to do one thing which at times is confusing. It took them over 6 months to setup everything during implementation which was promised to be done in 3 months.

Pros
It helped us go complete digital eliminating the need for paper forms. The iPad apps are also very nice.
Cons
A major con is its compatibility limited to Internet Explorer excluding other browsers. Additionally when we encounter system bugs, it often takes a considerable amount of time for the development team to identify and resolve the issues.

“Great Program with integral functionality

The product is great and its been a while since I have been using it. Switching from another EHR to this one is all very easy and the cost is also not that much, it comes very smoothly to review. Integrating it with other software is also very easy and manageable. It is all very easy to use. It is a great product and I have not been shifting to another EHR that means its actually great.
Cons
I have a staff of only 4 people and I find it a bit annoying when the collection module kind of duplicates the messages when you send it to someone else, and it is a little difficult to use, would appreciate it if, they could make using it a little easy.

Pros
If the implementation team is knowledgeable, the program is excellent and covers all aspects. Unfortunately my experience was the opposite, resulting in numerous complications. Although the program offers billing capabilities I have not used them so I cannot provide feedback. Scheduling is simple and the system automatically checks patient eligibility.
Cons
The software is not compatible with Apple products which is a downside. I had to purchase two PCs in addition to my iMac, MacBook, and two iPads which resulted in extra expenses as the program representative failed to inform me about this. iFax does not work with Chrome or Safari. it only functions with Internet Explorer. Furthermore, iFax is not very user friendly. The program does not support Fujitsu scanners for document upload or scanning only Taiwan-compatible scanners work with AdvancedMD. I had to purchase a separate scanner as iFax consistently showed a busy line and 6 out of 10 attempts to fax documents to the software were unsuccessful. I had to buy a second scanner (Brother) that was compatible. When it comes to bi-directional interface with labs, the software is not very user-friendly.

Pros
Hold times are an hour and there is not anything to solve problems. In case of complaint it typically taking three days or more. It is frustrating to only interact with message takers who cannot provide assistance.
Cons
The prescribing software is highly unreliable and fails nearly 30% of the time. Their solution is simply to "resend it"

“ADVANCE MD BILLING IS GREAT!
Pros
I like the wide features offered by AdvanceMD even though our small clinic does not use all of them. Its good to know they are available if needed. I am also grateful for the support teams assistance in learning how to use the software last year.
Cons
The only issue I have had with AdvancedMD is checking insurance liability. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. However over the past two months, I haven't encountered any issues.

Pros
I am impressed by how fine the software is as you can customize everything down to the filter level. There are multiple ways to navigate, some more user friendly than others. I also love extras like the claim lookup tools and the fact that claims and insurance information update in real time.
Cons
Sometimes the program goes way too far into detail and feels overly technical for routine use. If I don't customize the interface exactly to show only what I need, any claim that falls outside the preset criteria gets bounced back. There are also far too many patient lookup options and frustratingly it doesn't sync EMR updates to AdvancedMD in real time.
