“Ready to use for billing uploads
Pros
In my experience, it is ready to use for uploading billing, complete with current diagnosis codes and CPT.
Cons
I notice it becomes slow when my bandwidth is low and it often freezes or stops while the internet is not working the best.

“Easy to customise!
Pros
I like the fact that AdvancedMD can be customized to my work to an extent.
Cons
I do not like that many things cant be added or altered until they go via the firm and if its not on their list of modifications, its unlikely to happen.

“One of the Best Software
Pros
AdvancedMD is an integrated suite of software solutions for physicians. The key features are patient relationship management, practice management and telemedicine. The customer support team is kind and skillful in resolving queries.
Cons
There isnt anything negative that I could write about at the moment.

“Very bad experience!
Pros
The smartphone app was the only useful part of the platform for me
Cons
Setup was a convoluted DIY process, templates, lists and info had to be created by me. I assumed hiring meant they'd handle it but I ended up doing everything. It dragged on for months. Extremely pricey. The server runs slowly, support is useless, nobody could assist with submitting claims to payers and I went months without receiving payments which put my family under a SEVERE financial strain and after I raised issues they cut access when I couldn't pay them despite not getting a single cent to cover bills!

“A complete nightmare!
Pros
We never got the software working. During contract talks we were given wrong details, later realized the answers we were given to pre-submitted questions were incorrect, so our responses ended up being wrong.
Cons
Steer clear of this company. our time with them was terrible despite what their ratings might imply. We asked clear questions but got bad answers and those mistakes weren't caught until after the contract was signed. They're very hands-off and offered zero support. When we flagged the many problems (well before our planned go-live) we sat around for more than 30 days waiting for a reply. The eventual response was brutal: their finance group said since a contract existed they'd force 90 days of payments to let us out. We never rolled out the platform, never activated any staff or providers and couldn't use the software at all. Yet we're stuck paying for three months of service with nothing to show for it. This was a costly, frustrating experience that wasted time and resources. They avoided responsibility at every turn. Only one person in the company seemed to have any ethics. They even pulled a payment from our account a month earlier than agreed. Don't bother. There are plenty of other SaaS vendors who cost less, actually help you, act ethically and will support your practice or clinic properly.

“expensive software for behavioral health
Pros
The billing tools are stronger than what I've seen in other EMRs. Plus, you can automatically charge clients saved credit cards at the end of each day, which is incredibly convenient.
Cons
Nonstop pop-ups, nothing is simple at all the training and implementation were a nightmare and trainers were unhelpful, timelines slipped and there was basically no discovery; our demo key was set up as an ObGyn clinic even though we operate a counseling/psychiatric practice which felt like a major oversight. It seemed like a bait-and-switch: about half of the promised features cost a huge extra fee if you want meaningful reports and the reports included in the normal subscription are useless. The system is insanely glitchy and our prescribers can't e-prescribe almost every week, appointments get interrupted and somebody with prescribing privileges often has to cancel patients just to call AMD because only they can show support what's happening. Fixing incorrect copays can take hours because AMD makes updates via ERA overly complicated. It basically needs something like 10-20 admin staff to handle all the moving parts. It's not suited to behavioral health. We quit just under 12 months and moved to a different, far cheaper EHR built for behavioral health and our aging report quadrupled while we were on AMD.

“A lot of customization
Pros
The customization options turn it into an entire specialized software. We can edit templates to make them easier for our dermatology practice.
Cons
There should be more font and color options for notes

“Wide range of useful features
Pros
It offers a wide range of features that help me keep records and synchronize everything across all AdvancedMD products which I find really useful. From scheduling patients to keeping their charts and patient forms neatly organized, this system keeps things in order. Overall the software truly makes my job much easier.
Cons
Sometimes I come across errors that offer no clear way for me to figure out what's wrong which can be frustrating. On top of that the scanning portal does not work with my printer and that limitation is pretty inconvenient for my workflow.

“Happy with our choice
Pros
Excellent customer service! From the sales reps to the implementation crew, everyone was great. It handles more than I expected and offers far more features than any other option we tried. We're all really happy with our pick! It genuinely helps the office run smoother!
Cons
Putting templates together takes some getting used to but once you learn it, it's actually easy to build them the way you want!

“Numerous advantages and great features
Pros
This system offers numerous advantages and great features. It also provides many reports, such as audit logs that track almost every action performed within the system.
Cons
They have shifted patient details over to the left side which creates many more clicks and additional steps for every task. I just wish they'd revert to the previous layout because plenty of other users feel the same way.

“I'm disappointed. :(
Pros
I can't pick a favorite feature since after six months of training we still haven't actually used any functionality so far.
Cons
The onboarding and training are awful. Staff are friendly and professional, yet they have only a basic grasp of the product and struggle to explain or implement a sensible workflow. After six months we're still not live. All we get are repeated apologies and lines like "I don't know why that happened", "it's just a trial, don't worry" and "let me look into it."

“hard to use, buggy and awful support
Pros
The one thing worth mentioning is the onboarding phase and they give about six months of free access.
Cons
Its pricey. Hard to use. Customer service is terrible. Whenever they push an update, expect parts or the whole program to stop working, disrupting daily workflows and it affects appointments and billing. Right now we're on day two without e-prescribing because they chose to deploy an update on a Monday morning.

“Custom forms with terrible service
Pros
We liked that progress notes and patient forms were customizable. Their built-in fax feature is handy.
Cons
a) We ran into issues with the RCM side and they made a lot of mistakes on our billing. b) Customer service takes 2-3 weeks to reply to tickets, even for questions entered in their system. c) Trainers aren't actual system users and can't offer real workflow advice, they just look things up and read the manuals. The billing team only inputs data and won't help work claims and they put items into a worklist the office or provider must handle. d) Corporate never responds to requests to discuss your office account.

“Good support, clunky system
Pros
Customer support is what we value most (after extremely long hold times). All staff are local, caring and knowledgeable and the implementation crew we were assigned was terrific.
Cons
Honestly, nearly everything is a problem. Pop-up windows everywhere, literally everything is a pop-up. There's no spell check when providers write notes. You have to refresh the window to see changes you made. The whole system feels like DOS, very clunky.
