The application is solid with minimal issues or support needs. Their improvements to the mobile version should eliminate the need for locally installed products.

Cons

Pros

It provides updated regulatory changes and invaluable tech support. The occasional glitches in the COM version are easily corrected.

Cons

The POC option seems to have several glitches. Improvements could be made by adding more required fields before e-signing.

I see room for improvement.

Pros

The flexibility to use it on various platforms is excellent, and I will comment on the mobile platform separately.

Cons

The initial download process on new or reimaged devices is annoying, especially with lower bandwidth causing timeouts. This has resulted in therapists abandoning the use of iPads, affecting multiple facilities.

We have been very happy with the functionality of this software and customer support.

Pros

it is comprehensive for both clinical and business applications, upgrading to maintain compliance with CMS regulations.

Cons

The software's inability to interface with EPIC in the Inova Health System is a significant challenge. However, it does interface with Matrix, the new LTC EMR being implemented.

First Rehab Software we used.

Pros

The ease of use, extensive report capabilities, expandability, and interface with other major vendors make Optima a top choice. Their customer support is excellent too.

Cons

Remote training is the norm, with no on-site visits available. Patient scheduling can be quite complex and there is limited interoperability with other vendor software.

I find Rehab Optima easy to use, thorough, organized and up to date with all changes in Medicare regulations.

Pros

it automatically updates with Medicare regulation changes and offers excellent webinars to keep therapists educated on these shifts.

Cons

The absence of a spell check is inconvenient and mandatory fields related to bowel incontinence and pain can be cumbersome. Making these fields optional could streamline the process.

Being cloud-based allows communication from any computer, and the user-friendly interface and ability to see schedules for all therapists on one screen streamline operations.

Great rehab software

Pros

it stands out as the best software I have ever utilized. While no EMR is flawless, they actively respond to changing regulations and collaborate closely with users to develop new, relevant content. I highly recommend opting for the Business Intelligence option.

Cons

Whenever I need to contact customer service, I usually end up waiting on hold for about 15-20 minutes also some features do not align with my preferences, and I'm eagerly awaiting the implementation of a patient portal.

The outpatient module needs work.

Pros

Programming billing rules per payer and customizing payers with different billing rules are effortless with Optima.

Cons

The scheduler in the outpatient module has numerous glitches, causing frustration for both us and our patients. Communication with billing departments regarding insurance nuances is challenging due to the lack of a built-in feature for notes.

Pros

The evaluation process is straightforward, navigation is easy, and scheduling is quick. The Daily Tens Log speeds up progress note completion.

Cons

There are redundant areas that could be consolidated within daily notes or other parts of evaluation/progress notes also the scheduling system prints only six entries per page, which could be improved.
