Many features don't work

Pros

Documentation is so easy and we can add notes and macros without any trouble whatsoever. The person who helped us set up was very humble and had a lot of background knowledge.

Cons

The patient portal doesn't work on the mobile app. With the pandemic, a lot of people aren't coming to work, so we really need the online portal to be perfect but it's far from it.

Efficient veracity software

Pros

The user interface feels intractive and everything just makes sense to me. I find it easy to write and send prescriptions even for controlled substances.

Fully customizable & effective

Pros

I enjoy how easy it is to build chart templates that are fully customizable to meet the needs of our pain management practice. The system is also very simple for new users to learn.

Cons

I did like to see a more user friendly report or sort feature in the orders section. Additionally it would be helpful to have billing reports with more sorting and condensing options.

Cost-effective EMR- a real winner!

Pros

The biggest selling point for me is the exceptional support provided via phone and email. My assigned customer support team member has been amazing and remains a valuable source of knowledge. There is been no support turnover in over a year. The online training modules and e-manuals made it easy for me to learn the system. Scheduling and setting up new patients is quick and easy. The patient portal is great as it allows patients to update their charts easily. The virtual appointment option has been really useful during the COVID pandemic. The formulary system is simple as it lets me verify medication coverage and do prior authorizations directly through the system. The patient medication lookup feature and refill capabilities are also easy to use. I can save faxes or upload documents directly to patient charts, flag items for follow-up and use the patient portal. Billing functionality is robust and user-friendly compared to other EMR systems. I love it! The system now interfaces with top lab companies which makes lab orders and result reception seamless. There are many customization options and ongoing improvements continue to enhance the system.

Cons

The system shows medication drug/drug interactions and allergies but lacks a "hard alert" or pop-up which could potentially lead to unsafe prescribing practices. Also, I cannot fax the medication list directly from the system so I have to save it first and then fax it.

Feature-rich EMR solution

Pros

It is a web-based solution thats easy for me to access from almost any platform and it does not require expensive computers. Also it is reliable and simple to learn and go through its many options. Creating chart note templates is a simple task and it offers multiple options, including scheduling, messaging and prescribing.

Cons

I think the TeleMedicine module needs more work. Although its a good integrated solution, compatibility issues with various patient technological platforms (laptops, cellphones, etc.) sometimes prevent patients from connecting to their visits.

Frustrating company with lots of glitches

Pros

The notes and layouts can be customized well. At first, it was great but they cannot keep their representatives. Have to make a few calls. Now and then we cannot get through to them.

Cons

Billing isn't solid. There are numerous glitches and we always have to be watchful. Sometimes it's troublesome to get through and Medicare payments don't come through in a timely manner. We constantly have to check with the team to figure out why.

Decent overall experience

Pros

It is pretty easy to go through! I have an easy enough time using it. Their customer service is very good and they have one on one webinars to help you get acquainted with the software.

Cons

The software doesn't sync with Google or iCal, so that's something to keep in mind. I've had some patient complaints about their experience with the app but I haven't had any issues myself, so I can't really speak to that.

Overall, good software

Pros

I would definitely recommend AllegianceMD to everyone. After such a terrible experience with our previous EHR, it was a really big and terrifying step for us to change our EHR system, but we had no option. I am glad that we took this decision of trying Allegiance, as it has been a wonderful experience using it. It took less than 4 weeks to set it up and start using it. It is easy to use. It has a lot of great features and they keep adding more. The company support is also great.

Frustrating Experience

Pros

We had a good experience with AllegianceMD the first few months. There is plenty of opportunity for customization which makes creating notes and templates much easier. They keep switching team members, you have to deal with a different rep every time. They aren’t easily reachable. You have to make multiple calls and even then, some days you don’t get access.

Cons

I've experienced constant glitches with the software. The billing system is poorly designed and unreliable, so I always have to stay on guard to prevent major errors, though sometimes that doesn't even help. Medicare payments take forever to process, and since they don't use a clearinghouse, it just slows everything down even more. Customer support is hit or miss and I often end up having to contact the programming team to figure out the issue. The high staff turnover is also really frustrating.

Cons

I don’t like how we still have to hand out paper forms to patients and then scan them into the system. They should offer online forms by now.

Great EMR solution

Pros

It is incredibly simple to use this software. User-friendly and neatly laid-out interface. I like how easy documentation is with AllegianceMD. It saves us a lot of time. The customer service is always polite and helpful with any and all queries. That too in a timely manner.
