If you're comfortable with the software, you can create more advanced templates and handle more complex tasks. I have been using a server-based system with Amazing Charts. I have changed several EMR systems over the years and found this one to be the best in terms of reporting as well as ease of use. The best feature is that you can open multiple windows at the same time. Amazing Charts has a large pool of pharmacies in its system which is great for my patients. I like the fact that it can be integrated with other software, for example, a dictation one.

Unfortunately, the customer service provided for this software is severely lacking. Despite paying extra for support, there is practically no response when assistance is needed. For instance, we faced difficulties with prescribing narcotics and left multiple messages over a two-week period without any response until yesterday. Even then, the person who finally responded admitted to not being adequately trained to help us. Promised callbacks were not received, and there is no option to directly speak with a support representative. Instead, users are left with the option to leave a message and hope for a callback, which can take weeks to materialize. Additionally, the chat room feature is consistently unavailable, further complicating the support process.

Booking appointments through the system is quick and easy. I work as a receptionist for my clinic, and this system is very helpful especially when working with patients. I really appreciate it.

While booking appointments usually we have to write the reason for the patients’ appointments and there is a limit to how much text we can add. The system isn’t really appealing even though it is simple. It also has a wait time for it when you log in.

I have been with Amazing Charts for 8+ years now and I can safely say that I have enjoyed using this software for my practice. EMR is brilliantly designed and is very intuitive. It is equipped with all the ICD 10 codes which makes it easier for me to bill since I mostly see tertiary referrals with unusual conditions. My EMR does what it needs to do so I can focus on my patients and not charting my notes.
