“Worked out great for us
Pros
The EHR integrations are really helpful and make the workflow run smoother. Also it was also easy to set up and simple to use which saves me a lot of time.
Cons
Patients can only see parts of their summary instead of the full report which can be confusing. Uploading documents is also harder than it should be since they have to click OK to share first.

“Good pick for mixed practice
Pros
Charm EHR is very user-friendly and customizable. And I really like the integration with FullScript and the integration with Quest labs is also a great feature in theory.
Cons
I am facing issues with the Quest integration and no one is able to help troubleshoot. The telemedicine provider is also pricey and unreliable with a connection that's never stable.

“Not as good as it used to be
Pros
I used to enjoy this product a lot more. The online scheduling feature was nice until they started having constant issues with the captcha which caused problems for patients. Now they have to call the office to book which defeats the purpose of online scheduling.
Cons
The customer support is pretty awful. They are based in India and it takes over three days to get a response. Even when I finally spoke to a supervisor about my login issues, they did not seem to care at all about how it was affecting my practice. It felt like they did not want to keep me as a client.

“Better look for other options
Pros
The price is pretty reasonable compared to other EHRs but we definitely get what we pay for.
Cons
Well the customer service is almost nonexistent. When I call they cannot help me and just tell me to email support, which takes 24 to 48 hours to get a reply. I've been locked out with no access and no one could fix it for days.

“Slps should not consider it
Pros
Charm EHR templates for evaluations and therapy are fully customizable which is great. It also has a lot of analytics which I found useful.
Cons
The system does not flow well for client management. Plus to me it does not seem designed for therapists and the documents have strange subsections that can't be changed. Most of the EMR settings are focused on MD/PCP rather than SLP.

“Really worth the money
Pros
The system is user-friendly, offers multiple features and has clear pricing. They are always improving and adding new features for both providers and patients. Plus the integration works well, the setup is also easy and I like that there are plenty of helpful tutorials on YouTube.
Cons
I think the support team could be a bit more friendly and engaging.

“Awesome only when its not acting up
Pros
As a solo practitioner I manage everything myself and understand both the clinical and admin side of running a practice. I am also a full-stack web developer so I am very comfortable with tech. After trying many EHRs for small practices, Charm stands out as one of the most flexible and customizable options. It is affordable and I have been using it for about 10 years. I was an early adopter and have watched it grow, though a few areas have declined. With enough time to customize you can build a lot with its templates and questionnaires.
Cons
Customer and tech support are basically useless when real issues come up. They don not act on feedback and most of the time support just repeats the same basic steps I already know. Honestly I often know more about the platform than they do. I cannot remember the last time I got help from a real person on the phone or chat as I usually wait a week or more for an email from someone who barely understands the issue, so I end up fixing things myself. On top of that we are forced to use BlueFin as the credit card processor which is terrible. Because of it we now use a separate scheduling system just to charge cash patients. Plus people have been complaining about BlueFin for years but the company still refuses to listen.

“Program is decent, support isn't
Pros
I find this EMR to be a good choice. It is affordable and easy to set up though it is pretty basic. Still I like it much more than Simple Practice which I found too clunky, so I switched to Charm.
Cons
To be honest customer service is a nightmare. You can only contact support via email and it takes at least a week for a response. They are never proactive and if you do not ask every tiny detail upfront, it won't get done. After four months of seeing patients I still have not been able to bill insurance because of it. Overall it has been incredibly frustrating.

“I liked it!
Pros
One thing I really like is the appointment reminders and the way it connects with our website makes self-booking easy for patients. Plus it saves time for both the office and the patients.
Cons
There is no way to create line graphs for GAD-7 or PHQ-9 which is really annoying.

“Mostly good but room to grow
Pros
For the most part Charm is easy to use and navigate. Also there are plenty of settings to customize your setup and it's worked well for both the providers and administrators in our practice.
Cons
Messages cannot be searched, so older messages between team members are easily lost. Plus I feel like the invoices tab in the billing section should provide more space for billing notes for each patient.

“System works well so far
Pros
Charm is easy for both staff and patients to use. It takes care of a lot of the repetitive work which is a big help for small clinics. Plus their billers and RCM team have made claims and reimbursements smooth and overall we have had a really good experience.
Cons
It occasionally has minor bugs and the team assigned to fix them can take a while to respond. If they do not find any issues, there is no follow-up. So I wish they would set up a virtual screenshare to see the issue firsthand and resolve it.

“Poor service and support
Pros
My collaborating MD finds it easy to sign my charts and I also like the ability to manage multiple locations.
Cons
The customer service has been really frustrating! It takes forever to get tickets addressed. Like it is taken over four months to set up eRx and EPCS for me and when I tried another EHR, I was up and running within a week. They just seem kind of indifferent to EHR issues.

“Ideal for small clinics
Pros
CharmHealth was super easy to set up both cost-wise and for customizing it to fit my needs. Plus I like that I can adjust things and add features as I go without paying for stuff I don't need. Their customer service is also easy to reach and quick to respond, which is a big plus. Lastly the calendar and payment systems are built right in, so I don't have to deal with separate contracts or extra programs as everything is available in one place.
Cons
I really wish the notes were more customizable and that labs would auto-populate. Dot phrases would be super helpful too, since they are faster than setting up and finding the right template. That said, I did love being able to design tables or flowsheets, like for comparing DXA results over the years and pulling them right into the note.

“Easy-to-use software
Pros
I’ve been really happy with this system. It is super reliable and never had any downtime. Plus I always have access to reports and up-to-date billing records. Patients find it easy to use too and it's rare to hear anyone say they are having trouble logging in or navigating the system. Also I find the entire system easy to navigate.
Cons
I sometimes wish we could call our billers directly. Since they're outsourced to India, we often wait 24 to 48 hours for a response.

“Offers great customization options
Pros
The system is super intuitive and easy to use. I love that I can customize templates, macros and set up different user roles. Honeslty it got everything I need, like built-in instant messaging for staff, text messaging for patients, faxing and referral management. Plus, I can even customize the automation for RCM which is a huge bonus.
Cons
The onboarding process could use more detail but it's pretty intuitive, so that helps a lot. The only downside is that the time it takes to get technical support can vary like it could be immediate or it might take up to a week.

“Support is not available at all
Pros
I think this EHR system is great and has a lot of potential as it covers pretty much everything I need for my daily charting.
Cons
Setting up this system for daily workflows is not easy lacks support. Instead they provide videos and leave you to figure out everything on your own. When I looked for assistance for front-end setup the representative rushed me and claimed to have emailed videos and abruptly ended the call while I still had questions. This raises concerns about troubleshooting support. So overall the customer service is extremely poor practically non-existent.
