terrible support and refund scam

Pros

Honestly there was absolutely nothing positive about this experience. It was bad enough that I am leaving this review as a warning so others can pick a better option.

Cons

There was nothing to like about this tool at all. Every time we called, we were sent straight to voicemail and could never reach an actual person. When someone finally got back to us, it usually took two to three days. We couldn't get the support we needed and in the end we gave up and moved to another software company instead. Since we never actually used its services, we expected to get our money refunded. That did not happen. They kept repeating, you signed a contract, even though they never delivered the services the contract was supposed to provide. They have refused to return our money. To me, this feels like a company that cares more about enforcing contracts and taking money than about supporting chiropractic practices or giving anything of value in return.

frustrating migration support gaps

Pros

During our move from ChiroTouch Classic to the newer CT version, we've spent a lot of time on tech support calls having the reps personally guide us through each step. They've been fantastic and very helpful throughout the process.

Cons

I found the CT Community difficult to use when it comes to the specific problems showing up during our migration. We keep digging through the menu looking for answers but it doesn't provide the targeted help we need so we usually end up giving up and reaching out to a CT technical support person instead.

user-friendly billing and customization

Pros

This program is very easy to use and it's user-friendly enough that you can pretty much teach yourself how to use it. The accounting side especially the billing process, is laid out really well so it's easy to tell exactly where things stand with claims. Another big plus is how much customization it gives you for visits, color coding and setting up the system to fit whoever is logged in. The different schedule views are also really helpful.

Cons

The only real issue I have with this software is the reports section which could use some adjustment. Some of the figures on the monthly stats report aren't accurate and we keep having to manually count them by day especially when it comes to the New Patient numbers.

helpful carryover for recurring visits

Pros

One feature that has been especially useful is the same as last time carryover option. Since we see many patients regularly and their symptoms often shift little by little, having that information carry over saves time and fits well with how we treat new and returning patients.

Cons

It's a small thing but I do wish that after opening a patient record and then returning to the patient list, it would bring me back to the last alphabetical spot I was viewing. That would be really helpful when I am going back and forth between family members.

works well for busy practices

Pros

Running a three doctor office is much more manageable with this software. It handles scheduling, billing and patient notes really well and it didn't take long for our team to learn. It's also flexible enough to be adjusted to fit the specific needs of our office.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see improved is the online scheduling. It would help if it could recognize when a 45-minute new patient appointment is booked and automatically block that full time slot from showing as available.

helpful onboarding with darr ius

Pros

Getting started with CTProBill has been a positive experience and Darrius Myrick has really made the onboarding process go well.

Cons

It still falls short when it comes to patient management and reporting. There's no end of day patient balance report and it also lacks the ability to tag patients and run different filters. Communication with patients could be much better too especially with a proper texting feature that doesn't have to route through email. It feels like the software isn't updated often enough with modern functionality and it wouldn't be surprising if competitors start winning clients by offering more current features.

Pros

Being able to build my own macros helps a lot with charting, although the newer version is harder to customize than the previous one.

Billing, patient management and the overall claims process still need improvement.

junk software, awful support

Pros

Honestly there's not much I can say on the positive side. The interface has some pretty colors and maybe the payment plan helps a little.

Cons

From where I am sitting almost everything about it has been a problem. They sell a broken product and seem to expect you to handle all the troubleshooting yourself. It feels like they assume every chiropractor has a full-time IT person in the office but instead you end up becoming that person. Unless you're extremely tech-savvy and somehow enjoy fixing software issues, this is not worth the hassle. The company has been terrible to deal with. The only time I reliably hear from them is when they can't charge my account because of an updated credit card. Support is completely inconsistent as you either get someone who knows what they're doing or someone who doesn't have a clue. I'd strongly recommend staying away and not buying it.

quick chart notes win

Pros

Quick chart notes are the biggest reason I chose it. After leaving a group practice that already used ChiroTouch and moving into my own solo office, I looked at several other software options, including the system that came with the practice I purchased and still ended up buying this tool again. Being able to transfer data from my previous practice also made the setup and implementation very simple.

Cons

It does cost more than most other software options. Once you add the monthly subscription, billing fees and cloud backup charges, the total monthly expense becomes pretty high. It would make a lot more sense if they offered discounted bundle packages for those services together.

all-in-one patient communication

Pros

Having everything in one place is really helpful for day to day work and it makes communicating with patients simple during daily use.

Cons

At times there's a lag when working on daily notes. It occasionally slows down and disrupts the flow of patient care.

payment integration that delivers

Pros

I like having payment processing built in. Plus being able to import patient intake information has also been a real plus. It even helps keep things connected and cuts down on extra manual work.

Cons

The customization options for intake and electronic forms still feel too limited. It would really help to have a New Condition Intake and re-evaluation forms that align properly with the initial intake.

powerful charts and visuals

Pros

It comes packed with plenty of documentation shortcuts which helps speed things up a lot. The graphic tools are also really strong and the billing features are decent overall. Back before 2015, the support was truly fantastic.

Cons

Customer support has become poor and the patient scheduling system feels overly complicated for no good reason. Reporting is also very limited since there's barely any way to run patient recall reports other than birthdays. On top of that the software pricing no longer feels like a real investment because of the way they handle the upfront costs.

fast software, awful company

Pros

Speed is really the only upside here. Beyond that the product is very basic and generic, with nothing that really separates it from other software options.

Cons

Nearly everything else has been a disappointment. This is honestly the worst run software company I have ever had to deal with.

helpful charting macros

Pros

Macros for charting help doctors document visits faster and cut down on repetitive work.

Cons

Charting macros are useful but most of the system doesn't work reliably at all. The iPad intake app kept crashing constantly including right when patients were almost finished filling it out which was both embarrassing and incredibly frustrating. I eventually had to switch to the printed intake form and that version asked for far more personal information than we actually needed. One patient even refused to answer about half of it and the whole situation turned into a mess. On top of that the sales reps were misleading about pricing just to get us to buy extra products. They described their backup software as included free with the InTouch and CTServices bundle but once you go over a very small data limit, the monthly cost increases bit by bit to more than $600. We told them the same day that we didn't want it, yet after weeks of emailing, another customer service rep finally sent a cancellation agreement saying it would only be canceled starting from the day we signed it. Even then, they still billed us for the full month. The contract also locks you in for at least a year. They also removed online booking without notifying us so they could later charge for it as an added feature. At first it just looked broken and for two months we were told it was due to an update. Only after we called again very frustrated because patients were asking about online booking did someone finally admit the feature was gone and that a new version would come later for an extra fee.

training falls short

Pros

The system is pretty easy to use and the layout is simple to understand. Another plus is how responsive the support team is whenever I call or sign in for help. They've consistently answered my questions quickly and been very helpful.

Cons

As a new staff member the training experience could have been much better. It mostly consisted of videos and slides and it didn't really cover every part of the system in a way that prepared me fully. I ended up learning a lot from the doctor I work for instead. I'd also like to start using more of the features that could help improve our office but I haven't been shown enough about how to actually use them.

reliable system with great billing

Pros

After more than four years on the server-based version of ChiroTouch, it has proven to be a dependable, full featured system that handles every part of our practice well. We also added CTProbill over the last year for claims and billing management and the setup process went really well. Our practice was configured so we could transition to Probill without unnecessary hassle and that support made the whole process much easier to navigate.

Cons

One thing we still hope to see is more development for the server-based platform so we can keep using CTProbill long term. It would also benefit from a better interface with fewer clicks, along with some of the product improvement suggestions being put into place.

integrated tools that boost productivity

Pros

Nearly every feature we use in ChiroTouch plays an important role in keeping our practice running more efficiently and helping us stay productive. Having everything integrated into one system is a big plus.

Cons

The biggest frustration with this tool is how long it can take to respond between clicks. When a patient is standing right there and I am simply trying to finish entering the subjective complaint, getting stuck with a not responding blue circle is really frustrating. It really needs to be faster.

touchscreen workflow and texting win

Pros

The touchscreen setup works really well especially for calling patients to a room once they're marked as arrived. The integration with Cash Practice is also great for handling auto-debit plans and patients really seem to appreciate the InTouch text reminders.

Cons

Support is pretty poor. Every time I need help, I have to call and sit on hold for about an hour and even once someone answers, the support usually isn't very helpful. I have had one case open for a full year and it still hasn't been resolved as the announcer keeps defaulting to Room 4 every single time. The reporting module is also terrible. If I run a report by Procedure Code Usage, I have to run it six separate times for the exact same procedure code just to capture all the charges because one code can be tied to dozens of different descriptions. That's ridiculous. Another big problem comes up when multiple providers use it but only the doctor can assign a diagnosis. If a non-medical provider is logged in under their own account and completing SOAP notes, they legally can't assign the diagnosis so they have to stop, track down the doctor and get them to log in and add the diagnosis instead.
