feature-packed and supportive

Pros

After looking into quite a few options, I ended up choosing this program and it has lived up to the positive feedback I kept hearing. It offers a wide range of features which has been a big plus. The customer service team has also been excellent as they're easy to reach by phone and even walk you through things using screen sharing during training which has been really helpful.

Cons

Getting started with this program has taken much longer than I originally expected. The learning curve is fairly steep and implementing everything requires a significant time investment. At this point, we're just hoping all the effort we're putting in now will pay off in the long run.

versatile setup with excellent support

Pros

The customization options have been a big plus and the tech support has been excellent whenever I have needed help. It also is much more versatile than the software I was using before.

Cons

It does take a bit more time to learn how to use everything at first.

helpful training and responsive support

Pros

Nearly two years in with ChiroTouch and the learning curve that felt overwhelming at first turned out to be much more manageable than we expected. The training included with the software has been very useful and the videos and webinars do a nice job of reinforcing what we learned. The biggest moment for us came during our second year of EHR attestation, when we discovered we had not entered the required information within the allowed timeframe. We had no idea there even was a deadline and it was incredibly upsetting to think we might lose out on twenty thousand dollars in incentive money. After a lot of calls with CMS, the EHR incentive program team and ChiroTouch, everything was resolved and we were still able to attest. We have also met several people from ChiroTouch at seminars and conventions and they have consistently been open to feedback, ideas and suggested fixes.

Cons

One downside is that the most recent update has made our computers run a little slower and I am still waiting to see whether they will come up with a way to post credit card payments from insurance companies.

flexible macros and excellent support

Pros

This system has felt very comprehensive. Since we bought the software in 2008, one of the biggest advantages has been how flexible it is when it comes to creating and updating our documentation macros whenever needed. Changing note macros and adding new ones for new services or documentation requirements has been very simple. We also really appreciated how well the transition to ICD-10 was, with no issues at all. On top of that the customer support has consistently been excellent.

Cons

A few of the add-on features feel like they could reasonably be included in the base program instead of costing extra.

helpful mobile scheduling and automation

Pros

Having past, current and canceled appointments all visible in one place on the mobile app is really convenient. Once you learn your way around it, the system becomes fairly simple to use, although it does take a while to feel comfortable with it. Some of the diagnosis automation is also very helpful and saves time.

Cons

The cost is far too high especially for someone just starting a practice. It also doesn't seem to have a built-in area for collections and we were told we'd need to track that separately in Excel. Overall, it still isn't very user-friendly, even though we've gotten used to working with it.

payment posting works well

Pros

Posting payments from different payers, whether it's insurance or the patient directly is pretty simple. Navigating different accounts to track down what I need is usually simple to figure out too.

Cons

At times, the system freezes and I have to reload it which gets frustrating. It ends up wasting time especially when I am trying to help a patient standing right in front of me.

helpful verify tools and reminders

Pros

The verify feature has been really useful and being able to send appointment reminders by text and email is a big plus. The ChiroTouch training and support team also helped a lot making the transition from a paper-based system to an electronic one feel much more manageable.

Cons

One frustration is that old insurance policy information can't be removed or hidden. It's also limiting that bulk email updates aren't available unless you have a service agreement.

pretty easy to use tool

Pros

Right from the start, the system felt very simple to use and move around in. It gives each team member plenty of flexibility which makes it easier to adapt the front desk workflow to their own management style.

Cons

There haven't been any new updates for months and there's never much clarity on when they're coming. The support operators were pleasant to deal with but they weren't especially helpful.

faster charting and billing

Pros

The documentation tools, macros and hot buttons really help keep the office moving efficiently. They make charting and daily workflow much quicker and the billing features also make it simple to generate statements.

Cons

One limitation is that outcome assessments are only available on the iPad. It would be much better if there were Android access as well.

powerful features and integrations

Pros

ChiroTouch comes with a lot of powerful features and I really appreciate the wide range of integrations it provides.

It can take some time to learn how to use the software because of how complex and feature-rich it is.

helpful support and knowledgeable rep

Pros

Working with the software went well because the IT rep was very knowledgeable and genuinely helpful throughout the process.

Cons

The only downside was the long wait times on the community chat. Please look into that.

paperwork savings after the learning curve

Pros

Getting started took quite a bit of effort but once I understood how everything worked, I really ended up loving it. It has saved me hours on paperwork and claim creation. On top of that the customer support team has been outstanding and genuinely seems to care about making sure every issue gets fully resolved.

Cons

There is definitely a tough learning curve and connecting an external keyboard to my laptop has been inconsistent. I also still haven't figured out how to customize it as much as I want, though I believe that will come once I fully master the program in its current form.

chiropractor-focused and practical

Pros

Right away the chiropractor specific design stands out especially with the variety of templates built into the system. Patient check in is also very easy which makes it simple to use in day to day practice.

Cons

The biggest downsides are the price and the support. It's often difficult to reach someone and even when we do get in touch, they say they'll follow up and then never actually get back to us.

clean front desk workflow

Pros

The interface is very user-friendly and the front desk layout is clean and well organized.

Cons

Compared with Smart Cloud, the ledgers were much easier to read there and it was simpler to quickly tell patients what their balances were at a glance.

pricey maintenance and higher costs

Pros

Having all these features built in really helps boost productivity around the office and it makes creating high-quality EHRs much faster.

Cons

This option costs more upfront and the annual maintenance fee is also expensive. Aside from that the product itself is very decent.

custom notes and billing win

Pros

A native iPad app option makes daily charting much more convenient and the notes can be built in a narrative style that is natural. The customizable macros are a big plus especially once they're set up the way you want. Billing, intake forms and online scheduling are all very strong features and together they make the whole workflow run really well.

Cons

Getting the macros exactly right does take work since you pretty much have to build them from scratch to match everything you want. It's also on the expensive side and updates to the server version mean shutting everything down and setting aside time to coordinate with technicians. Working from home has also required VPN access, although the newer version may have addressed that.

outdated look after update

Pros

Getting it into my practice was fairly easy and using it day to day hasn't been difficult. The macros and built-in features make it simple to enter patient notes and keep up with daily documentation.

Cons

After the newest update, the color changes made the software feel dated, almost like an older program. It looks a lot less visually appealing now.
