“Too complicated
Pros
While there are certain features within CollaborateMD that facilitate easier viewing of claims, beyond that, there's nothing I wanna mention here.
Cons
The training process was excessively complex, leaving me puzzled about the whereabouts of most forms and how to proceed with signing procedures. Unlike other EMRs that offer intuitive navigation, this system lacks user-friendliness. Moreover, rectifying errors in claims appears convoluted, as there's no straightforward method for correction. In the past, contacting customer service was challenging, although recent improvements have eased this issue. Nevertheless, identifying claim discrepancies remains a daunting task, often requiring comparisons with previous billing software for resolution. Despite contacting support in removing a user, I received inaccurate information, resulting in overcharges that the accounting department refused to refund. As a small business owner burdened by unnecessary expenses due to a lack of efficient support and billing system usability, I find this situation utterly unacceptable and will caution others against using this software.

“Not recommended to anyone
Pros
I cant think of a single good thing to mention.
Cons
We havent been paid CMS in 6 weeks and no one at this organization has been able to help or seem interested in doing so. Agree with previous reviewer that the problem appears to be with their switch to another (and probably cheaper) clearinghouse that is equally unreachable and insensitive. You do get what you pay for. Shortly looking for another vendor. Shame on them....I would give zero stars if I could.

“A really good product
Pros
Our use of CollaborateMD has been in transition, gradually migrating clients to our preferred billing software. However, we've opted to keep accounts open to retain access to older data and work through existing accounts receivable. I find the software user-friendly, and the customizable reports are immensely helpful and easy to use.
Cons
While there are no major drawbacks to CollaborateMD, I find myself more accustomed to alternative systems. Nonetheless, I believe it's a viable and reasonably priced option for small to medium-sized practices. However, potential challenges may arise with integration, as none of the setups we've faced so far have achieved successful integration.

“Never go for this
Pros
The only good thing about it is that its cloud based.
Cons
It worked pretty well until approximately 6-9 months ago when everything started to fall apart. Customer service became impotent, and ePS (their in-house clearing house) has caused more trouble and revenue LOSS than should be legal. Please google CollaborateMD reviews, and read the one written by another customer that has had similar experience. They charge more and provide less (next to nothing). Multiple unexplained and unresolved error codes (for a variety of reasons) resulting in claim denials, all stemming from their change to ePS. I have never had so many support tickets open with them, and they have all been unresolved. PLEASE USE ANOTHER SYSTEM. You will spend too much money for too many headaches.

“No ERA posting for two weeks
Pros
Although the online billing portal for patients offers some help, its not the best.
Cons
The absence of customer service during system downtime is concerning, and the slow turnaround time for system repairs exacerbates the issue. And the inability to store patient credit card information on the backend necessitates manual entry or swiping for each transaction, which is inconvenient. Moreover, the patient's online billing portal lacks sophistication, making it challenging for patients to track out-of-pocket expenses.

“Look for something else
Pros
CollaborateMD offers ease of use and comprehensive reporting capabilities, positioning it as one of the premier programs available. However, the drawbacks are huge.
Cons
CollaborateMD severely lacks customer support responsiveness, often resulting in recurring overcharges and unresolved issues. For example blunders with billing occurrences like duplicate charges and failed eligibility checks are common, leading to multiple charges for a single transaction. Despite raising these issues through trouble tickets, the system's responsiveness remains inadequate, leaving us frustrated.

“Worst service possible
Pros
There was a time when CollaborateMD's pricing was pretty competitive, definitely a budget-friendly choice in the market. But as other options have upped their game, it's not standing out as much on cost anymore. Would love to see some updates here!
Cons
Unlike systems that proactively notify us of denied or rejected claims, CollaborateMD requires manual identification of claim issues, resulting in prolonged resolution times and increased administrative burden.

As of now, I have not faced any flaws in this software. I am thoroughly impressed with its performance as a medical billing application.

“Reliable and Efficient
Pros
CollaborateMD nails the basics, especially for standard practice tasks. It's web-based and dependable, which makes daily workflows smoother without a hitch. If you're after the core functions, this one's solid.
Cons
The report generation feature lacks user-friendliness and smooth navigation, posing challenges for users seeking specific insights or data sets.

“Pricing not justified
Pros
Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to report. The software lacks user-friendliness, pricing transparency, and the customer support is slow.
Cons
The software's lack of user-friendliness coupled with its high cost is disappointing. Moreover, discrepancies between the quoted price and actual charges further make it less appealing.

“It is the worst!
Pros
There isn't a single aspect that stands out positively. In fact, we've opted to transition our billing to another service. Issues with claims processing, inaccuracies, and subsequent delays have posed significant challenges.
Cons
The absence of adequate support is a glaring issue, as the system often has downtime without accessible customer service, leaving users stranded for extended periods.

“Beware of this product
Pros
Integration with Practice Fusion EHR was a deciding factor for us, as it eliminated the need for additional manual work.
Cons

“Zero customer support
Pros
While the software was easy to learn initially, ongoing customer support is essentially non-existent once the training period concludes.
Cons
CollaborateMD has become a significant obstacle in managing my practice due to its lack of customer support. With unresolved issues piling up over time, the software's shortcomings have resulted in significant time and monetary losses.

“You cant even cancel it in peace
Pros
While the software's functionality was pretty good, the lack of regular, consistent customer training left us having to figure out a lot on our own. A little more guidance would go a long way, training could definitely be improved here.
Cons
Customer support? Not their strong suit, to say the least. The remote work setup only seemed to make things worse with interdepartmental communication, and even closing our account turned into a frustrating ordeal. It's a major area they need to fix if they want to improve user satisfaction.

“Really happy with thiss
Pros
The simplicity of the interface is one of my favorite things about CollaborateMD. It's clean, no clutter, and doesn't bombard you with unnecessary shortcuts or tabs. Easy on the eyes and simple for users who want to get straight to work.
Cons
CollaborateMD was pretty useful for certain tasks, but the lack of an EHR feature really held it back for full practice management. Hopefully, they're considering expanding to include EHR soon because it would make a big difference.

“It works but could be better
Pros
It was easy for me to enter patient information and claims, the whole was pretty simple.
Cons
CollaborateMD's support team is hard to reach, eligibility checks are hit-or-miss, and claims processing has its fair share of errors. Plus, no flagged duplicates on claims and limited statement customization? These issues make it less user-friendly than it could be.

“Best product
Pros
CollaborateMD offers a streamlined approach, making it easy for us to quickly access necessary functions.
Cons
My suggestion is that increased flexibility in statement customization would enhance the user experience with CollaborateMD, providing users with more options for customizing statements to their preferences.

“User-friendly and Reliable
Pros
Compared to other billing software, CollaborateMD is both user-friendly and reliable. It offers additional features that can be utilized if needed and we don't have to spend any extra money.
Cons
Custom report creation could be easier! Streamlining that process would let us pull insights faster without jumping through hoops. CollaborateMD has potential here and it just needs a bit of a revamp on this front.
