Pros

The comprehensive nature of the software particularly its attention to detail in areas such as Biopsychosocial assessments Treatment Plans and Progress Notes is what I appreciate the most. I love that psychotherapy notes are kept separate from progress notes. CounSol allows private practices to tailor the software to meet the unique needs of their clients and business.

Cons

What I dislike the most about this software is the inability to customize sessions beyond 60 minutes.

I'm Staying with Counsol

Pros

The customer service provided by CounSol is outstanding. I am fortunate to have a dedicated Support Manager who prioritizes my productivity with the software. This sets CounSol apart from other vendors that rely on FAQs ChatBots or Knowledge Bases for support. Another notable feature is the availability of customizable client forms which is unparalleled in other software.

Cons

The interface and client experience with the portal appear outdated in terms of both appearance and functionality. Online session functionality is limited to clinicians located in the United States.

Great for small private practice.

Pros

The software is easy to use featuring large icons and well-organized files. I particularly enjoyed the option to purchase Wiley Treatment notes/Planner which significantly sped up my documentation process.

Cons

Creating and uploading custom forms can be confusing and time-consuming initially. Having a mobile app for setting appointments or documenting on iPhones/iPads would be helpful and save time for users on the go.

Pros

CounSol is incredibly user-friendly with features like the client portal customizable client forms and responsive account representatives and support. They actively listen to feedback and continually upgrade and improve the software.

Cons

I'm not a fan of the invoice visuals as they lack a remittance tear-off portion. Reports have limited customization options requiring contacting support for additions. Adding more people requires separate contact each time and they do not accept debit from checking accounts only credit cards. The statements could be improved and made customizable. Co-pays and deductibles must be entered to display accurate amounts owed which can be problematic for solo practices dealing with multiple insurance providers. There is no discounted pricing for interns like in other EHR systems.

Does really well in some areas but is lacking in others

Pros

The level of support provided is superb. Each account is assigned a dedicated representative and I have never had to wait more than a few hours for a response. I appreciate the ability to customize the client portal and the availability of custom templates. The color coding on the calendar is also a great feature.

Cons

I wish the custom forms offered more flexibility for customization. The ability to change font size use bullet points and format text in various ways would be helpful. Some question types are missing and certain options within available question types such as a box opening when selecting "other" are lacking. It's not possible to add two individuals with separate emails to the client portal making it difficult to work with minors whose parents/guardians are divorced. Customizability of appointment reminders would be appreciated. Once you get used to the platform it becomes easy to use but there is a learning curve initially.

It is a good software.

Pros

The customer service is exceptional with prompt responses to my emails. The support team is patient and helps me solve any problems I encounter. The software itself is user-friendly.

Cons

There is room for improvement in terms of flexibility with the software. The current template options feel limiting reducing flexibility.

Excellent Product!

Pros

I rely on CounSol's telehealth platform and it has been fantastic with no issues. One of the best features is that after each session the client's credit card is automatically billed and the invoice is marked as paid. You also have the option to send out the invoice. I also use the platform for note-taking and client form signing both of which can be customized. The software even offers Wiley planners for an additional fee. The customer service is excellent and they are always available to answer questions often on the same day. Each user is assigned a dedicated support person which I find very helpful. CounSol has many other great features such as a confidential journal for clients folders for sharing handouts online scheduling with email and text reminders and much more. It really simplifies tax season as well!

Cons

Billing is complex but it's challenging to pinpoint specific areas of complication.

CounSol is my go-to for scheduling clients taking notes and tracking sessions. I have received great assistance for billing since my billing person left.

Cons

Understanding the billing process can be initially challenging. Once I grasp it I believe it will become straightforward and immensely helpful.

I love CounSol!

Pros

The standout aspect of CounSol is having a dedicated account manager who is readily available via email or phone. There's no need to submit online requests and wait for email replies.

Cons

It would be fantastic if CounSol offered an option to take notes on forms filled out by clients using an iPad.

Pros

Setting up and utilizing video visits is a breeze and clients appreciate the ability to schedule their own appointments on the calendar.

Cons

I would prefer a more streamlined process for scheduling time off. While it's easy to block entire days inputting hour-long breaks through flextime can feel a bit clunky.

Pros

What sets CounSol apart is the all-in-one platform that caters to electronic medical records billing and overall practice management. Setting it up has been incredibly user-friendly and clients can effortlessly access forms handouts and superbills.

Cons

I needed ample time to establish service descriptions set up the platform and handle billing third parties. However I received support for these tasks and once everything was set up the software became easy to use and modify as needed.

Just switched to CounSol and so glad I did!

Pros

CounSol is truly amazing. It offers ease of use and comprehension. I have a dedicated account manager who promptly addresses any inquiries I have. I appreciate the user-friendly calendar and the easy creation of intake forms. The setup process was quick and my account manager guided me every step of the way which was not the case with my previous EHR provider. The built-in appointment reminders are a valuable addition. They also offer competitive tiered pricing accommodating practices of all sizes.

Cons

Initially I found the appearance to be outdated but it actually works better than my previous EHR. I prefer it much more now. While the "look" might deter some people like it did for me I'm glad I gave it a chance. I have no complaints about this software.

Pros

Surprisingly learning the system was easy. I feel fortunate to have access to such helpful individuals.

Cons

I used to worry about making mistakes but whenever I called for assistance they explained things so well that all my fears vanished. If the regular contact wasn't available someone else was always willing to help too.

EHR Review

Pros

This program is packed with numerous features customizable options and straightforward onboarding. The standout feature is the EXCELLENT customer service. Each user is assigned a personal representative who assists with form entry adjustments phone consultations and email responses within 34 business hours (often sooner).

Cons

Learning curves are common with any EHR so this one is quite intuitive but I'm still learning! :)
