The owners and staff are very helpful and really go out of their way to make the system work the way we need it to. They managed to copy over all our old data without any issues, which was a huge relief. The system itself is user-friendly, with clear instructions and editing exams is also not a problem.
Cons
I feel like the program could really benefit from having more staff trained in Canadian healthcare. It would help make the necessary adjustments and improve the program's effectiveness for practices here.

Pros
Crystal PM helps us stay concise and accurate when working up a patient. The layout is super user-friendly, which makes the whole process even better.
Cons
The billing portion is really confusing, and the layout does not help at all. Also it is easy to make errors because things are not organized well, which just adds more frustration to the process.

Pros
Scheduling patients is not a problem anymore and I love how the schedule is color-coded. It's so clear and simple to read. The shortcuts are a game-changer for charting, especially with features like auto-fill and pulling up previous exam notes as it saves so much time. Plus, the tabs for different parts of the exam are well organized and grouped in a way that makes everything flow smoothly.
Cons
I really wish there was a feature to print a detailed exam summary all at once. For now the current process is so time-consuming and it would save a lot of time if everything could be printed in one go.

Pros
I really like how I can record every session with a patient and quickly look back at previous ones to track their progress. It is also highly helpful for our doctor, who can review our notes and keep up with how patients are doing. The calendar is awesome too. Also there is a spot for each vision therapist's schedule, so we can see everyone's availability at a glance. It makes planning so much easier, especially if we need to move patients around.
Cons
There is a glitch where the doctor's notes do not get saved if both the doctor and a vision therapist are working in the same patient's file. It’s been causing some issues for us with keeping everything updated properly.

To handle front office tasks with this software is fairly easy as it keeps everything running perfectly fine. Sharing test results with patients is quick and simple which they really like. Plus, organizing the schedule for multiple doctors is so efficient that makes managing the day a lot less stressful.
Cons
The inventory area is quite difficult to use and there are a few issues which if they fix could make it run a lot more smoothly.

The representative who guided us through the demo and has been our main point of contact was very helpful, always available and really knowledgeable. So big thanks to them! Out of five different software options we tested, Crystal Practice one stood out as the most optometry friendly. It was the only one that worked well for our optical, medical, front desk and billing departments. Also the doctors liked how customizable the features were and the front desk and billing teams were impressed with how smoothly the cloud-based system worked. I'd give it a solid 5/5!
Cons
Well we are still evaluating whether it is the right time to switch systems and if the cost would actually be justified.

Well the whole transaction process was so easy, and I was pleased with the supportive assistance I got every step of the way. It made everything stress-free.

At first, the customer service was great during the startup phase and I was really impressed. However, over time I have been disappointed by the lack of responsiveness and the overall helpfulness. It becomes much harder to get the support I need when issues come up.
Cons
I did advise caution for users who aren't very tech-savvy, as this program might be a bit difficult for them. It might be better for those users to look for a pre-designed program that's more easy to use.

I really like how easy the software is to use, and it is highly customizable, which makes it perfect for different practices.
