“great”
Pros
Jumping between different parts of the software, like charting and X-ray images, is very easy. It was also simple to pick up especially since I had used a different system at my previous office. After just a couple of days, I was already getting comfortable with how everything worked.
Cons
It can take a little while to load again after closing the program. It definitely works better when you have a fast computer or server.

“reliable setup for students”
Pros
Setting this software up and managing it for our dental students has been completely trouble-free and consistently works just as it should.
Cons
I've run into issues with the USB devices used alongside this tool. The drivers tend to cause problems and fixing it usually means reinstalling them or, in some cases, reimaging the whole computer.

“user-friendly and simple to teach”
Pros
The software is pretty user-friendly overall. It doesn't take much time to learn and it's also easy to teach to someone who hasn't used it before.
Cons
There are a few too many functions built into it. If some of them were consolidated, it could feel a little more user-friendly.

“strong fit for dental practices”
Pros
When it comes to recommending a complete practice management system to clients, this is still one of the better options available. The customer support is really helpful and from both a staff and IT administration standpoint, it's reasonably easy to manage. It also covers nearly everything most dental practices would need, with Endodontics being the main exception.
Cons
Since this is a fairly large software package with a database behind it some issues are expected. We've especially run into problems on Windows 10 although part of that may just be Windows 10 itself. Even so, the software definitely has its share of bugs.

“efficient tools for dental offices”
Pros
Running a dental office with this software is smooth and the extra features it includes really help improve our day-to-day efficiency.
Cons
A few features that would be very useful on a daily basis aren't included unless you pay extra for them.

“team loved this tool”
Pros
Getting around the system is pretty easy for my team. Once you've used this dental software program, the others tend to work in a very similar way so it mostly comes down to being open to the switch.
Cons
There wasn't really anything that felt hard to use. The only thing I remember was having to click out of a patient's chart before another person could open and view that patient.

“daily scheduling made better”
Pros
Working with it every day has been a really positive experience. The software is simple to use on a daily basis and lets you schedule appointments without relying on paper calendars anymore. It also makes it convenient to plan treatments and upload patient photos all in one place.
Cons

Pros
Product is feels user friendly and I appreciate that there are multiple ways to enter treatment.
Cons

“trusted and familiar workflow”
Pros
After years of using this tool, it became the system I was most comfortable with. It had a bit of an old-school look but honestly that was part of why I appreciated it. When our office moved over to Open Edge, I had a hard time locating the things I needed and really missed working in it.
Cons
The interface did look somewhat outdated but that never really bothered me.

“Made daily work simple”
Pros
Back when I worked as a dental assistant, I was on this platform every day and it ended up being one of the most user-friendly programs I used in that field.
Cons
There is definitely a learning curve at first. I'd suggest having someone train the whole staff on the right way to use it and also giving them a contact number in case any questions come up.

“clean treatment planning tools”
Pros
Using it for treatment planning is fairly simple and the patient treatment slides look much more polished and professional than the tacky-looking displays in other dental software. Scheduling is simple and setting up recall appointments right after finishing the current visit is convenient as well.
Cons
Constant update notifications get annoying and overall it still doesn't feel as user-friendly as some other software options.

“information gathering done right”

“User review”
Pros
It has been around since the early days and was the first Windows-based dental office software. That history aside, today it's far more advanced and much better at handling patient records and practice information than anything else I've seen. If the staff has trouble using it or the doctor runs into issues, the answer is training. HSPS provides that as well. I honestly wouldn't switch to another system. Yes, there are fees and ongoing costs but you really do get what you pay for.
Cons
This software does need efficient computers and a properly trained team to get the most out of it. Once those pieces are in place though, the entire office runs significantly better. I just don't see a good reason to settle for a simpler program supported by less capable staff.
