“feature-rich and powerful”
Pros
A very in-depth program which includes a lot of features for us to take advantage of.
Cons
It can take time to fully understand everything and there's definitely some practice needed before you can use all the features well.

“adaptive workflow”
Pros
Getting started with this software was quick and using it is very easy. Since I was new to dentistry, I really appreciated how simple it was to learn and work with.
Cons
At times, the software becomes unresponsive. It will occasionally freeze and the only way to continue is to restart it.

“feature-rich and user-friendly”
Pros
Range of features on offer covers a lot of our different needs and the whole experience feels approachable.
Cons
Too many clicks, no cloud access and insufficient initial training are the one of the issues. You have to spend time digging around to unlock everything the product can do but once you get there, it works really well.

“customizable templates”
Pros
Shortcut buttons and customizable templates are built into just about everything which makes daily use much smoother. I'd say it's probably the only dental software most practices use on a regular basis.
Cons
Ability to link X-rays to the chart is a nice update but it only works with certain imaging programs. It would be much better if they added compatibility with Apteryx since that's the X-ray software I use.

“helpful billing and treatment planning”
Pros
This is a convenient to use software option for dental practices. It works well for coordinating with insurance companies and makes our billing process easier. It also feels more focused on the dentist's point of view which is helpful in day-to-day use. Chart updates, treatment planning and customizable templates for clinical notes are all useful features. There is also a good alert system for medically complex patients who need their medical history reviewed before treatment. Charting itself is not very easy and it does take some time to learn and use confidently in daily practice but it still feels less difficult than some other systems like Axium.
Cons
Innovation and ease of use are two areas where the software falls short. It takes time to learn all of the features and while clinical notes can be customized, creating a custom template is harder than it should be. Some parts of the system feel outdated and could definitely use improvement.

“clear dashboard layout”
Pros
Graphics and overall layout are practical and clear which makes exploring everything very accessible for me.
Cons
Probably there are quite a few features available that our office still is not using, simply because we do not even realize they are there but aside from that, I really do not have any complaints.

“flexible treatment plan charting”
Pros
Putting together charts and building different treatment plan options is very simple. Whether I'm sending a patient out on referral or presenting more than one option, everything stays well organized and is simple to show clearly.
Cons
I do wish it were cloud-based so it would work better across multiple locations.

“painfully slow after update”
Pros
For a long time, we really appreciated that the software was user-friendly, worked efficiently and received regular updates.
Cons
Ever since the G7.4 update, it has been a constant struggle for the past year and lately it has gotten to the point where we feel like tossing the whole CPU into the highway and running it over. We've spent the last month working with support and have gotten absolutely nowhere. The software is now slower than it has ever been. It takes 20 to 30 seconds just to open a patient's chart, another 30 seconds for treatment plans to show up on the screen and as clinicians we are constantly dealing with the spinning circle of death and "not responding" messages. That is no way to operate multimillion-dollar practices. This software might work for smaller offices but it clearly does not hold up for high-producing ones.

“customizable and highly capable”
Pros
After working with several different dental lab form systems, this one is easily the best of the bunch. It offers a lot of flexibility and just about everything can be customized to fit the way you want to work.
Cons
Customizing settings can take a little time to figure out. Since it offers so many options, it can feel a bit confusing at first.

“shady support and costly delays”
Pros
Watching parts of the software get removed to the point where our version is no longer supported is deeply frustrating.
Cons
Prices are extremely high, the wait times for help are far too long and somehow every issue we run into ends up costing more money.

“my favorite dental platform”
Pros
Having so many different ways to get to the information I need is something I really appreciate. I've been using this software for two and a half years and I'm still discovering new things about it every few months which says a lot about how much it offers. It's support has also been excellent they consistently help me identify the issue and get it resolved quickly. I've worked with three other dental software systems and this one is easily my favorite.
Cons
A few parts of it can be a little tricky to understand at first. For about the first year and a half, I didn't get enough training on reports so that area was confusing until I finally took a class in the next state over. After that, it made a lot more sense.

“capable platform with plenty to offer”
Pros
The product has a lot of depth and is fairly easy to use overall although I have seen it becomes less reliable with every update. New releases keep adding features that feel mostly unnecessary and they end up making the system more difficult to work with.
Cons
Customer service and technical support are lacking.

“powerful tools for practice management”
Pros
Approachable enough for everyday use while still comprehensive enough to cover everything a practice needs. With its many modules and functions, it gives a complete view of patient information in one place. I also appreciate that they keep updating the system and improving how the modules work.
Cons
Yearly maintenance cost is pretty expensive. Customer service can also involve long wait times and some of the level 1 support technicians do not seem as knowledgeable about the product as the higher-level techs.

Pros
Seeing the company actively seek feedback from users is a positive sign. The patient education tools are a real advantage and the financial information analysis adds a lot of value to our work.

“clear charts and scheduling”
Pros
Having used it before while working a side job as a dental assistant, the scheduling layout has always made sense to me. The treatment planning setup is very simple and writing notes or moving through a patient's chart is simple.
Cons
One thing that still gets in the way is the task bar icons. They can be hard to read and it's not always obvious what each one is supposed to represent.

“dependable support when it counts”
Pros
Our office relied on this tool for many years and we're currently using G6. Any time something comes up or I need assistance, I can call their support and usually get help very quickly.
Cons
Switching the print format for a walkout that includes dental codes is something the system really should allow. Patients often say they do not need an itemized printout when they pay with FSA or HSA cards but then days, weeks or even months later they call back saying they need more details. When that happens, I print a patient ledger or a walkout from the payment date and the codes are not there. That creates frustration for both our office and the patient especially since their card is often put on hold.

“better clinic workflow”
Pros
Day-to-day clinic operations run smoothly with this system and we also use it to generate reports across different parts of the practice so we can analyze performance and look for areas to improve.
Cons
Getting training for all of the features is challenging so most of our staff ends up not using a large portion of what's available.

“all-in-one dental office favorite”
Pros
Starting my first job right after dental assistant school, I was worried I wouldn't pick up this software quickly enough in a real office setting. That concern disappeared once I actually started using it. The layout is very clean, everything connects in a way that makes sense and the workflow feels smooth. It really helps that the software handles all the key parts of running a dental office in one place, instead of having to switch back and forth between multiple programs.
Cons
If I could change one part of this software, it would be the patient charting section. For whatever reason, entering the chart notes the doctor wrote during each procedure always felt more frustrating than it should have been. That area just didn't seem to work as well as the rest of the program.
