“scheduling done right”
Pros
Using this software has been very easy. It keeps all of our records electronic and scheduling patients is very convenient. I'd definitely recommend it.
Cons
It can run a bit slowly with our servers. The interface also feels outdated and could use a more modern refresh.

“Best for new hires”
Pros
The software is pretty self-explanatory so our new employees can get comfortable with it quickly without needing much training or extra time to learn their way around.
Cons
Since mine is synced with another computer, that may be part of the reason it crashes about every 30 minutes which is extremely frustrating. On top of that, the interface feels very outdated and unattractive and I really think it needs a complete refresh.

“we can depend on it”
Pros
Centric was very user-friendly and I could work in it every day with little to no trouble.
Cons
Occasionally the program would freeze but any technical problems were resolved quickly thanks to their excellent tech support and helpful support tools.

“USER friendly features”
Pros
Having used it in my practice for years and now teaching it as well, I know the system very well. It's user-friendly and the functions are laid out in a very organized way which makes it reliable to work with.
Cons
Because the software covers a broad range of features, it does take some time to fully learn how everything works. Still, once you get comfortable with it, I really enjoy using it.

“widely adopted dental EHR”
Pros
In the dental world this is essentially the standard EHR. It lets practices configure different chairs and customize capacity at a detailed level. It also supports the standard HL7 interface so connecting third-party tools is relatively simple.
Cons
From the implementation side, a lot of dental offices were not actually using the software the way it was designed to be used and that ends up taking away from the simplicity of EHR integrations.

I really loved this software and all the training resources it includes for both the practice and employees to learn how to use it well.

“all-in-one integration benefits”
Pros
Integration with Demandforce brings appointment scheduling, reminders, marketing and CRM tools together in one place for us.
Cons
Customer support is hard to reach and when contacting them by email, it can take more than a week to get a reply which feels pretty inefficient.

An outdated interface paired with a very high price makes it hard to recommend over other options.

“Dated design”
Pros
For running a dental office it covers everything and the customer support has been outstanding. I'm also able to view all the reports I need which is really helpful.
Cons
The interface is quite dated and the price is very high. Compared with other software, this one is much harder to use.

“clear scheduling layout”
Pros
Even though it isn't a program I really enjoy using, the appointment schedule is laid out clearly and concisely which I do appreciate.
Cons
This tool using a separate application for x-rays is something that's hard to ignore. It would be much more convenient if the x-ray template were built directly into the software.

“Excellent tools that click”
Pros
It is the only system I've worked with in our office since I started so it was already in place. At first, there was definitely a lot to take in but after spending some time learning it and doing a bit of training, everything started to make sense. Once it clicked, moving between the appointment book, office manager, ledger and the rest of the system became very manageable.
Cons
Tool includes huge amount of features and I'm sure I still haven't explored everything it offers. That said some features aren't included in the base system and adding them means paying extra. When the office is working within a tight budget, that really forces us to be selective about which add-ons will bring the most value.

“powerful scheduling and practice tools”
Pros
When it comes to practice management, there is a lot on offer here with plenty of useful options built in. The scheduling system and many of the other features were easy to use and really helpful in our day-to-day work.
Cons
It could still use some updates and the training didn't feel thorough enough for all of the features available.

“rude support team”
Pros
Bringing all the clinical parts of a dental practice together in one system is where this really delivers and it is something I do appreciate.
Cons
Biggest problem is the cost. Their marketing makes it sound like you're getting the Cadillac of dental software but it ends up being very expensive. On top of that, you have to subscribe and pay every month just to get technical support. Updates come out often but they rarely install without issues so you end up having to call support anyway. When you do, the attitude from customer service can be unpleasant. Be prepared to sit on hold for a long time and then spend even more time dealing with the update installation. It's incredibly frustrating.

“love the support!”
Pros
Day-to-day use of this software is easy and well thought out.The buttons include images that show exactly which section you're about to open whether it's the chart, perio, treatment plan and more so getting around the system is very simple. On top of that, the customer service and tech support have been outstanding.
Cons
Reading patient ledgers and moving credits or payments between providers is the one area that can get confusing.

“Fantastic dental office tracking”
Pros
Running a dental office is much simpler with this software because it keeps up with just about everything I need, including appointments, patient records, ledgers, month-to-date reports and more. It's very user-friendly overall and works well for staying organized.
Cons
There are quite a few buttons throughout the system so it may feel a bit overwhelming or challenging for someone who is brand new to using it.

“it has lot of potential”
Pros
There are lots of really helpful features and the system is simple to use. It has allowed me to make better use of more functions in my office and I'm still waiting to see the rest come together.
Cons
It feels like some of the bugs still haven't been ironed out and in my opinion it was released a little too early. There are times when even customer support can't provide an answer and some features that were expected back in the spring still aren't working.

“leading choice for dental operations”
Pros
Compared with the limited competition in the EDR market, this company really stands out as the leader. It keeps things simple for operations teams to work with which is a big plus.
Cons
Weak spot is the revenue cycle reporting which feels pretty inconsistent and definitely doesn't measure up to the medical side. It could become more compelling down the road if it ever ends up being acquired by Athena.

“easy scheduling and charting”
Pros
Booking appointments, charting and entering new patient details all feel very easy to use. It also works well with other helpful dental devices so we've been able to connect and install them without any trouble.
Cons
A frustrating part is the updates. When the system has to update, it can sometimes take a long time and create problems while the update is running.

“user-friendly workflow”
Pros
Searching between modules feels very user friendly and moving around the system is easy. A big plus is that multiple team members can be in the same patient file at the same time. For example, the doctor can look over x-rays and the treatment plan while someone in the business office is reviewing the patient's finances.
Cons
Ledger is the part I wish worked better. I really wish insurance payments would post with the date of service.
