“easy and very user-friendly interface
Pros
The interface is easy to understand and very user-friendly especially for work in the ophthalmology field and I can quickly modify templates and forms when required.
Cons
One thing that really frustrates me about DrChrono is how hard it is to see the precise time an appointment is scheduled for the visible time slots never align correctly until I click on them and because of that I frequently end up unintentionally double-booking patients when I am trying to manage the schedule quickly.

“User-friendly and easy to manage
Pros
I like many of DrChrono's features such as the form builders. The scheduling process is simple too and billing is uncomplicated. Overall it is user-friendly and easy for me to manage!
Cons
We occasionally run into glitches, such as consent forms failing to auto-populate as configured, or images and documents sometimes refusing to save which can be frustrating during our daily workflows.

“incredibly user-friendly with great features
Pros
From my experience it is incredibly user-friendly with great features. Plus I can easily move around the interface and my students also pick it up quickly and use it without trouble.
Cons
I don't have any complaints about DrChrono. Compared to other programs I have used before, I find DrChrono outperforms them consistently.

“Flexible and good patient education
Pros
I like that it's flexible enough to fit my workflow, supports e-faxing and lets patients enter some of their data before their appointment. It provides good patient education materials and I can send handouts and follow-up info after visits. Plus I don't have to click through tons of pages to complete my note.
Cons
It's not particularly tailored for mental health the way some other EHRs are and sometimes I feel there's an overload of customization options which, to be fair, usually ends up being beneficial. However I do find it can be clunky when I just want to move from one area of the chart to the next.

“Very user friendly and neatly arranged
Pros
The software is very user friendly and neatly arranged, exactly what someone used to Apple would anticipate. The finished document looks refined around the edges, giving me that polished Mac-like feel. It's clean, crisp and overall incredibly user-friendly.
Cons
When I have an issue or a question that needs customer support, there's no phone line I can call for immediate assistance as everything is routed through an online ticketing system. I end up submitting a ticket and then waiting for the support team to get back to me which typically takes about 24 hours. Occasionally they will phone and if I am not available they leave a callback number but that number becomes inactive after roughly one month. That means I cannot hang on to the number and call them back later with a follow-up question which is frustrating when I need ongoing or timely clarification.

“Best support but not for specialty care
Pros
I found the product offered the best support and it comes packed with many helpful features for handling electronic records and overall practice management.
Cons
During my trial I discovered it wasn't configured well for specialty care when I evaluated it and began using it so it didn't meet those needs out of the box.

“Support is Non-existent
Pros
It's inexpensive and they advertise lots of fast features. Frankly, I find the procedure notes can be very swift which is exactly how they ought to be. That speed really applies when the case is a routine, uncomplicated procedure. When something deviates from the standard, however, it becomes considerably more difficult and slower to manage. Compared with other offerings, the iPad app works well functionally though it's still constrained by the overall system design. Give it twenty years or so, when most people are fluent with iPads and I think this platform could become genuinely useful for the check-in and data-collection stages of patient care overall.
Cons
I have run into so many restrictions with this software. even basic elements like headers and subheaders aren't implemented as real headers or subheaders which is surprisingly poor. Support is nearly non-existent if you want anything beyond the bare minimum features. The system cannot even handle prescriptions correctly. Start and stop dates get left out. Their guidance is that 'the start date is the date you write it.' But consider when I write a controlled medication that shouldn't begin for a week because the patient already received a seven-day supply from surgery that creates problems. Then I am just hoping the pharmacist spots the DNF note buried in the comments and the comments field explicitly tells you not to include start dates or other critical details. everything about this feels like a product built by a teenager who just finished a programming class and thinks they can solve everything. They give you canned tutorial videos for the basics and then leave you to wrestle with bugs and workflow gaps. I am thirty and reasonably tech-savvy so I have been digging deep to make it work. Initially it looks attractive but after you get past the glossy promises, you're on your own. I often end up frustrated and spending hours troubleshooting its quirks and limitations. Good luck.

“user friendly with useful tutorials
Pros
I find it user friendly and easy to use. Plus the tutorial videos in the Help tab were really useful while I was first getting to know the system.
Cons
The app opens far too many windows which really annoys me I don't like that clicking tabs in the patient chart spawns multiple separate windows every time.

“free trial turned into unremovable balance
Pros
DrChrono's marketing is perfect and well put together. They even promote a free one-month trial but in my case that supposed free month ended up turning into a balance I cannot get rid of.
Cons
honestly the customer service has been awful and there seems to be little interest in doing what's right for physicians. They messed up my fax number so now I need to obtain a new one which has caused me significant stress and extra expense for my practice.

“automated reminders still don't work
Pros
We cannot offer any positive feedback until this problem is fixed and it feels wrong to praise the product while we're losing revenue because of it.
Cons
I have been dealing with this for three months and the automated reminder feature still doesn't work reliably. Since we manage multiple locations, the issue is more pronounced as some days reminders go out as expected and other days not a single one is scheduled. Support told us it was a global problem and that a fix had been deployed but in our experience the problem persists. The automated appointment reminders were a key reason we signed up so this ongoing unreliability has left me feeling extremely disappointed.

“user friendly and eliminates paper
Pros
I find it user friendly and functional. We have essentially eliminated paper and printing and sending faxes is now electronic and very fast.
Cons
honestly there's so much packed into it that the learning curve is steep. I rely on nearly every feature they offer and occasionally I receive criticism from patients who insist on speaking with someone fluent in english. My patient base also lacks much cultural diversity.

“Easy in every aspect
Pros
You can easily send out reminders to patients about their appointments which are customizable. It is user-friendly, easy to train, use and schedule. The best thing for me is the ease of scheduling patients. You can make calls, verify appointments, check patient demographics and many other stuff.
Cons
I detest that I cannot email my patients from drchono. If they could add this feature, that would be great.

“Very useful
Pros
The product is user-friendly, anyone in the staff can easily use it. It is very easy for patients and physicians to use. The communication is great. The data is kept confidential. It is a very useful tool. Patients can request medication easily. Record retrieval is simple. We can send referrals to other physician offices as well, along with necessary documents. Overall, it is a great tool to use for your practice.
Cons
There are a few times when it gets slow, and that kind of gets annoying when you’re unable to complete any task properly due to its speed.

“Really simple for editing notes
Pros
The system is really simple for editing and reformatting notes. It is also easy to use on my iPad, the backup process is easy to handle, the subscription pricing is not too high and it includes helpful tutorials for new users.
Cons
Occasionally the system fails to save my work. I also dislike having to submit a support ticket whenever an issue needs fixing.

“Outstanding and impressive patient care platform
Pros
I have found DrChrono to be an outstanding patient care platform that meets both clinical and administrative needs. I love that I can tailor templates and patient records and that the system works smoothly on my iPad, phone, or Android device. It is genuinely impressive technology.
Cons
While I appreciate the multiple pricing tiers, I wish I could pick individual features a la carte across plans because I am limited by bundled packages.

“easy to configure and user-friendly
Pros
At the beginning I had a positive experience with their customer support as they were on hand to walk me through the software. I also appreciate how easy it is to configure appointment reminders and overall the websites layout feels pretty basic and user-friendly.
Cons
I find the mobile app a bit clunky to get around and in my experience it lacks many of the features available on the full website which can be frustrating when I need the same tools on the go.

“Really fond of smooth ipad handoff
Pros
I am really fond of the iPad feature and the patient-facing section that lets patients fill out their own forms. The handoff from patient to physician feels very seamless.
Cons
We're unable to rename the title fields in the main patient details for our business needs which makes it harder for patients or other clinicians to quickly locate the sections they should complete.

“Powerful but missing key features
Pros
My experience is that the system itself is very fast, it's iPad ready with its own app, setup was very quick finishing an encounter note is fast and easy
Cons
I am finding it pretty lacking in advanced features and automation there are very few vendors in their app marketplace it's not highly customizable. It's fine for a small practice but I cannot picture using it for a larger practice due

“simple yet frustrating tech glitches
Pros
My wife and I find the software really easy to use we both like it. I appreciate how simple it is to pull up a patient's record and the speech-to-iPad feature is super cool.
Cons
Often I find there isn't anyone available right when I need help. The iCloud sync is hit-or-miss and more often than not I end up force-closing the app and reopening it just to keep working. Lab orders are a recurring headache they frequently don't go through or never get received. From what I can tell, that might be an issue with the lab company rather than DrChrono itself but I am not completely sure who's to blame for these failures.

“easy to schedule and view appointments
Pros
I find it easy to schedule, reschedule, or cancel patients' appointments. I can quickly view weekly, daily, or monthly schedules.
Cons
I don't find the chiropractic SOAP template very useful for creating notes with a single click in a couple of minutes. Usually I end up building one tailored to my practice or borrowing a template someone else already created.
