“easy use and valuable customer support
Pros
Using the system is pretty easy and I really value the customer support and the patient portal where intake forms automatically populate the chart. I can attach my handouts and generate superbills for patients who file out-of-network claims. It handles faxing in and out, offers illustrations for SOAP notes, manages billing across multiple locations and lets me run email campaigns to inform my patients of practice updates. The sales team did not pressure me into signing.
Cons
Sometimes I get overwhelmed by the number of windows that open typically one per patient and sometimes more than one so my desktop fills up with tabs I cannot quickly identify unless I click each one. It might be a configurable setting to limit pop-ups but I haven't figured out how to change it yet.

“Frequent updates and easy to use
Pros
I have noticed it updates frequently, is easy to use and offers apps for iPad and, I believe, iPhone and Android. Although I haven't used it in a while.
Cons
honestly the platform needs more integrations and I think the pricing should be more reasonable for individual practitioners since costs are so high to keep a practice afloat I'd also suggest greater flexibility in forms.

“simple, easy and simple to teach
Pros
What I like about the program is how simple and easy to understand it is. Also it is simple to teach and to pick up as a first-time user.
Cons
Occasionally the software lags which noticeably lengthens how long it takes me to complete a single patient chart.

“extremely easy to learn and customize
Pros
I have found it extremely easy to learn, with a very user friendly interface and plenty of customization options.
Cons
That said the pricing can feel a bit steep though I still think it's justified overall you really get what you pay for here.

“Everything is in one place!
Pros
Firstly Id like to say that the software is very easy to use and that you wont need any sort of help from anyone related to anything in the software. The software is user-friendly as well. Youll find everything in one place, which makes everything very easy for you, and navigation between tasks becomes easier as well. Were a startup practice and because of drchrono our office is paper-free. It gives you options to customize appointment profiles and templates which is super amazing. Plus you can do things very quickly as it is fast as well.
Cons
For me, there is only one con, and that is of its costs. The costs they take it per practitioner added to the software.

“Has a lot of options
Pros
The product has already been set up according to my needs of mental health and physical disorders, which is great as it helps me use when dealing with diagnostic tools. It is easy to use and has various options for whatever you want to do. You can create customized templates as well.
Cons
I have quite a specific field and the options for me at times is way too many, especially when I first started, and one more heads up that it won’t be easy or user-friendly for beginners, but with time it would start flowing the way you want it to.

“Efficient program
Pros
The software is proficient. It offers you to create your own templates which is great. It has a lot of other great features. It allows you to establish an organized work space. It takes a while to get your hands on it, but once you learn how to use it, you start enjoying it.
Cons
When multiple users are logged in, it takes time to save all the information in the system. Options that are offered in this system should be improved to be more direct.

“Easy to use program with great support
Pros
drchrono is very easy to use, and it is amazing at how self-explanatory the software is. Navigating between different tasks like reporting or scheduling is very easy. The support staff is very friendly and helpful, and they are very prompt when it comes to replying. Overall it is a nice product and anyone would easily be able to use it without any assistance.
Cons
There was only one problem that we were facing at my clinic, that every doctor takes payment in a different way and that we have only one license for drchrono it got hard to know which doctor was to be given the payment by the patients. The problem now is fixed, but it took us a lot of time to resolve it.

“Not a good interface for therapy
Pros
The computer view of the software is nice, and simple. It lets you view individual and other schedules easily. It lets you make multiple note templates. The interface on iPad is decent. It is easy to use and all, and in the past it have had very few glitches, that I remember.
Cons
A few cons that Id like to mention is that it is not a great EHR when it comes to using therapy documentation, as I am an OT. The note templates cant be deleted. Tasks are running properly but then all of a sudden they just stop working. The phone interface is really not great as it is very challenging to use. Once things get fixed, it stops working again, which gets frustrating.

“Been using them for years
Pros
It has been a quite a while since weve been using it. It is great to use, and offers a lot of great features which makes things easier, and the best thing about it is that they offer you a free option, so that you get used to it first and then you can commit to its paid version.
Cons
Ive had a few issues with the customer support, they do resolve your issues and all, but its takes them a while. Even after an update I think that they should give tutorials or training so that we get used to the update that has been done. I must say that the customer support is good but not great, they should really work on that.

“Links to a variety of devices
Pros
It links to a variety of devices and I find it really easy to navigate the software my patients' medical records are maintained with meaningful use standards in mind and it stays current with our needs.
Cons
Sometimes I wish the system could exchange structured data directly with my lab so those results would count toward meaningful use, without forcing me to buy costly third-party software.

“organized templates but confusing medication area
Pros
I am impressed by how information carries over from one template to another. For example, medication reviews transfer smoothly between med review templates. I also find the search function very comprehensive and easy to use which is really helpful.
Cons
One aspect I am frustrated with is that notes don't automatically populate across different templates for instance, the HPI entered in the Initial Psych eval doesn't carry over into the Annual Update template which forces me to re-enter important details. I am also unhappy with the medication ordering area because it's hard to distinguish between active prescriptions, discontinued items and changes making it confusing to know exactly what's been ordered or stopped.

“simple templates and easy billing
Pros
For me the templates are incredibly simple to customize. Billing and patient management are also really easy to use. The monthly fee and setup cost are very reasonable too.
Cons
I often find customer service isn't always easy to reach by phone. Most interactions need to be scheduled by appointment through email.

“affordable yet frustrating to manage
Pros
I am happy it's web-based which makes access easy. It's also more affordable per provider and when adding users than many other EMR platforms I have tried. The statistical visuals like the pie charts also look clean and are easy for me to interpret.
Cons
What frustrates me is that patient demographics don't always save properly which makes billing a real headache. Customer service and EMR support feel very unreliable and the training programs often cannot answer simple questions. I find templates hard to build and creating and deploying documents is almost impossible. Also, the daily clinic schedules for each provider are overly basic and the color scheme is awkward and hard to work with.

“easily accessible for all staff
Pros
I can easily access it and the information displayed proves useful not only for the front office staff but also for every healthcare provider involved in patient care.
Cons
For me adding a back button would make navigation much simpler I honestly couldn't find many drawbacks with this system and genuinely enjoyed using it.

“Really helpful for a centralized clinic
Pros
We're a startup clinic offering several specialties. In our crew we have chiropractors and nutritionists and I have found DrChrono really helpful for keeping everything centralized so nothing gets lost. We order and manage a bunch of different labs and our office is as paperless as possible in today's world practically as paper free as you can be now. I am a big fan of being able to scan older lab results and tuck them into each patient's folder for easy reference later. I also appreciate how customizable appointment types and note templates are which makes workflows smoother for our team. While electronic health records are generally slower than paper files for jotting down notes, DrChrono speeds the whole process up considerably and makes charting a lot faster overall.
Cons
Main downside I see with the program at the moment is the extra fees required whenever we want to add additional practitioners into the system which can quickly increase our operating costs.

“easy patient setup but concerns over receipts
Pros
I love how easy it is to add patients into the system and I value being able to create my own templates. However as someone affiliated with an insurance organization, I am uncomfortable that the system allows users to generate their own receipts.
Cons
The credits and balances feature could use improvement. I'd also like a more comprehensive end-of-day report that shows debit totals, Mastercard totals and similar breakdowns, plus additional tutorials to help users get the most out of the system.

“excellent web interface and app
Pros
The web interface is excellent especially now that they have added more advanced task management as I find it much easier to stay on top of things. Also it is simple to follow electronic communications which saves time and the appointment templates are genuinely useful. The app experience is amazing for physicians although it is frustrating that it only runs on an iPad. In our ideal world our doctors would be able to use Surface devices and tap into both the app and the web interfaces since each offers different advantages. The Billing Team stands out as their staff and support are consistently dependable. They are responsive, polite and clearly understand how vital timely A/R processing and clear communication are. Honestly the billing group is the best example of what DrChrono could achieve. The core system itself is strong and reliable and with a few basic changes and a more customer-focused management attitude, it could become an outstanding product.
Cons
From my experience DrChrono really lacks empathetic listening when it comes to business concerns outside of their billing department. Almost every piece of constructive feedback I have offered gets brushed off or shifted onto the user which I can see in their public responses to reviews. Simple changes that would save customers both time and money. For example, a Windows application seem to be ignored entirely. It often feels like they behave as if Apple is their only customer since there's no Windows or Android support even after multiple client requests. Support tickets getting closed before the issue is actually resolved has been a recurring problem for us. We aren't allowed to call support directly for help and it frequently seems like the staff didn't read the initial issue because I end up repeating the same information three to four times and getting escalated before reaching someone who can address anything beyond very basic problems. Problems that affect our ability to care for patients or run the business don't get escalated properly. even when a system change causes mission-critical failures, there's no fast path to get a relevant decision-maker at DrChrono involved. Simple asks, like adding customized disclaimers to reduce legal liability for patient portal use, are dismissed, despite the real risk that creates for their clients.

“easy interface and electronic records
Pros
I really like the software's interface and how easy it is to use. Plus I find patient records are kept electronically with almost no issue when I use the drchrono check-in app.
Cons
My experience includes some trouble setting up templates and forms. I'd appreciate a simpler way to build documents for patients to sign, like consent forms and similar paperwork.

“Brings everything together in one place
Pros
For my practice I find this product brings together scheduling, billing and clinical notes into one place which has boosted our office productivity. I appreciate how simple it is to create compliant medical notes quickly and I also love being able to write quality notes right from my phone when I am on the go.
Cons
Initially I found some of the billing remittance processes pretty tricky. After repeating the same tasks a few times though, it became much more manageable and less frustrating.
