“User friendly with quick ipad taps
Pros
I really appreciate how user-friendly it is and especially how quickly taps on the iPad convert into complete sentences that produce attractive charts.
Cons
Creating the templates takes a lot of time though I feel that would likely be the case with any EHR if I want well-written charts as the final result.

“Good if you are tech savvy and able to make your own forms
Pros
While looking for EHRs, this was the one that had the best set up, so thats why I went with this option. Although it isnt the out of the box type, but it can be set up according to your requirements, which is very easy to do and makes things a lot better in the office. For a tech-savvy person, this would be an amazing product, but if youre the kind who doesnt really get along with technology than Id prefer that you choose an out of the box type product which wouldnt need any modifications to adjust to your requirements. It has a lot of great features for which I chose this product.
Cons
The main con that Ive noticed is that it isnt a product that would suit your practice the way it is, it needs a little upfront work to create forms specific to your clinics requirements, although the process for doing it is straightforward. The check-in is more suitable for initial visits rather than repeat office visits.

“Dr Chrono Review 2017
Pros
It is a great software, especially for my profession, that is chiropractic. I enjoy using it. It takes time for you to learn how to use it, but once youre through the learning process, and start understanding all the features and its terminology, it becomes enjoyable and easy to use. The e-billing part of drchrono is quite amazing.
Cons
The online scheduling seems really very old, and not updated, it gives you the feels ancient. I do hope that they work on this and kind of update it so that it looks like were in 21st century. One more thing they need to work on is the billing thing, it is that when it gets rejected the details are often confusing, and I have to call the insurance company to verify it.

“Finally a great Mac/iPad based EHR!
Pros
They give you a few hours of free training which is great, as it gets a bit tricky on how to use the system. but once you learn it, it becomes really easy. It is in fact easy to use. It has a lot of great features and makes note taking really easy. you can customize your templates accordingly or you can even modify an existing template. You can use the product anywhere and from any device as it is cloud-based. In short it is a great software and helps you solve all your EMR problems.
Cons
It isnt affordable for people who have a solo or private practice. I had been promised a lot of things but all of them were not delivered. They keep on increasing the price every month, which doesnt make you that happy.

“Better than any other EHR I have ever tried
Pros
Their tech support team is great, I like that they are always ready to help you. Their tech team is very courteous and pays undivided attention to you. I dont really care if they dont have a number to contact them, its better through emails, as you have all the help documented and it is easy to check back and forth when sorting out the issue. The system isnt that hard to use, especially if youre a tech savvy person you can get it running in just a week. It is very easy to use and navigate. All the features of the system are pretty straightforward. I have used 3 other EHRs before drchrono, and hands down this has to be the best out of all. This EHR is very easy to use, the claim filing, e-prescribing, and e-faxing, its all very wonderful and extremely easy.
Cons
Sometimes you would face a few glitches in the software, like billing glitches, when you by mistake enter a wrong amount and want to correct it, but cant as it starts to act all weird, and to correct the mistake you have to start all over with the billing process. It would be much better if they could do something about it/.

“easy to handle everything together
Pros
It is easy to handle SOAP notes, billing and appointment scheduling together within a single platform. Overall it is an excellent product.
Cons
Unfortunately, I am unable to access this software on my Android phone and I'd really like to be able to schedule patients directly from my mobile device.

“Range of admin tools and extras
Pros
I picked this software because of the range of admin tools and the many extras I wanted such as a patient portal and online scheduling it was the only program I could find that met my needs there and I also appreciated the iPad and iPhone compatibility. Being pretty particular, I found its extensive customization options fit what I was looking for.
Cons
Getting everything set up on the EHR side took me quite a bit of time. The default forms really aren't aimed at chiropractors and the system leans on a library of templates other users have uploaded. I found many of those templates were outdated and didn't meet the level of documentation today's compliance rules demand. In short, this isn't something that will run smoothly straight out of the box but you should expect to put in upfront effort to build forms tailored to your clinic. The good news is that putting those custom forms together is fairly straightforward. One more downside I ran into is the check-in workflow. it is designed more for initial onboarding rather than handling recurring visits that are common in a chiropractic practice regularly.

“all in one user-friendly dashboard
Pros
With DrChrono, I have my scheduling, EHR and billing all in one user-friendly dashboard. Because it's cloud-based, I can pull up patient charts and billing info from anywhere in the world. The team keeps adding useful integrations for example, Stripe lets me securely store patient cards and Physitrack provides an online exercise platform. all are the features that genuinely make my work as a physician smoother and more efficient.
Cons
There have been a few small hiccups from time to time though none of them have been deal-breakers. Whenever I have run into a problem, I reach out to my account manager and she promptly resolves it for me so it hasn't affected my workflow much.

“easy to use with many features
Pros
It is fairly easy to use, packed with many helpful features and I really appreciate having a mobile app for my phone.
Cons
My experience with customer support has left me very, very disappointed. At first the support person was fantastic but over the last three months I haven't been able to get a simple request handled. It's been an absolute disaster.

“absolutely terrible customer service
Pros
I find the system really easy when I need to edit notes and reformat them. There's also a mobile app where I can type notes or even dictate entries.
Cons
honestly the customer service has been absolutely terrible in my experience. I wouldn't recommend this product solely because of how poorly they handle support. On top of that, I found the billing and credentialing process for new doctors extremely confusing and they withhold clear information unless I agree to use the company's own billing service.

“Very user friendly with regular updates
Pros
Overall I find it very user-friendly the team regularly rolls out updates based on user feedback, the reporting and analytics are valuable and the cost is reasonable.
Cons
I really miss the original, personalized customer service as it's frustrating that there's no dedicated helpline so I often have to wait for an email response or a callback from DrChrono on their schedule instead of mine.

“everything bundled into a single app
Pros
What I love is that everything such as billing, coding, appointment scheduling, intra-practice messaging is bundled into a single app and beyond that the customizable templates and their hands-on help with them have been priceless to my workflow. I have also seen a lift in insurance reimbursements thanks to billers guidance on clinical documentation, along with noticeably improved time management.
Cons
I have run into multiple times when reaching a real person by phone was difficult because of the difference in time zones. The team is located in California while I am working from Connecticut and I begin my day very early so coordinating a call can be frustrating.

“great interface with appointment recovery
Pros
I find the interface really easy to use. The appointment recovery feature has saved me more than once when our office computers accidentally erased bookings and I also like how convenient eRx is.
Cons
We don't have a phone number for customer support which is frustrating and it's not easy for us to print a report listing the supplements purchased under our custom codes.

“Very user friendly and fast
Pros
As a clinician I have found the user interface very user friendly. The app responds quickly every time. Also it is friendly on iPad and iPhone. exporting my data is pretty easy and fast. Managing statements is simple too.
Cons
I think the price is higher than many alternatives. Compared with a Kareo/Practice Fusion setup, I am paying several dollars more each month.

“Fully integrated with excellent support
Pros
I use a fully integrated EHR that works just as smoothly on my tablet as it does on my PC. The support team which they call 'health checks,' has been excellent and the software gets regular updates.
Cons
I'd like more customization options and a redesign of the patient groups feature. In my experience patient groups are useful but feel incomplete and underdeveloped. I'd also love to be able to add custom column headers, similar to a spreadsheet, for better organization.

“Very easy to send prescriptions
Pros
Very easy to use and I can send prescriptions quickly. Overall the built-in templates help make charting both fast and stress free.

“Great integrations but missing core tools
Pros
What I appreciate is that it runs on iPads, iPhones and Mac computers. I also like that other software can integrate with it easily.
Cons
It is missing key capabilities other vendors rely on, from prior authorization tools to decent marketing and patient messaging modules. Patient portal and scheduling are awful. Support is terrible.

“Basic and inexpensive yet cumbersome
Pros
In my practice, I can change documentation templates on the fly. I update how we document quickly and easily and the service is inexpensive. The interface feels fairly user friendly and because the platform is pretty basic, new hires do not need hours of training. It is clear the product is evolving as DrChrono has rolled out steady updates and improvements over the past year and I expect they will keep enhancing it moving forward.
Cons
I find it really frustrating as an administrator that I cannot push certain customizations out to staff things like medication favorites or task folder structures. To make those changes for each person I have to log in as that user which is time-consuming. There's also very limited ability to link or report on data contained inside the clinical note and the system doesn't calculate screening scores PHQ-9 so I have to compute and enter them by hand. The workflows for clinical and back-office staff feel like an afterthought it's hard to tell which entries were made by the nurse versus the provider when auditing a visit. Common back-office functions such as referrals, prior authorizations and similar tasks are poorly supported which slows our processes. The interface forces too many clicks and excessive screen switching. I often end up with three to four tabs open and find myself flipping between screens constantly just to gather all the information needed for a single patient. Overall these issues make daily operations more cumbersome than they should be.
