“Expensive
Pros
The custom SOAP notes and the user interface are great. I’ve been a customer for quite some time now. When I started using this tool everything was great. The customer service was great. In the last few years, I’ve noticed that customer service just got worse. It takes a while for us to speak to them, they usually just email us back. I do plan on switching as there are many EHRs that we can choose from, now.
Cons
The customer support team is not great. The services they provide to their customers is very poor. The software is very expensive, and they also have extra charges. Patient reminders are not unlimited.

“Good overall EHR
Pros
The medical charting can be tailored to streamline patient visits particularly for insurance-accepting practices aiming for maximal reimbursement.
Cons
The reports function is lacking and there are several areas in reporting and financial aspects that could be improved.

“Best EHR
Pros
DrChrono is the easiest EHR Ive ever used across various medical fields. Whether in emergency medicine surgery aesthetics or primary care this EHR stands out for its simplicity and customization options.
Cons
Im unable to set a time when non-provider staff can access the EHR which would be beneficial for managing security. The inability to set security settings to prevent staff from accessing the EHR via mobile devices puts patients personal information at risk.

“DrChrono for EMR
Pros
The customizable templates and ease of use are commendable. With multiple functions and features its easy to create templates that reduce documentation time while ensuring thorough documentation. The incorporation of needs for documentation sign-off and the auto-save feature are particularly impressive.
Cons
I cant think of any negative comments about the software but the IT support isnt the most reliable or prompt when issues arise.

“Easy to setup
Pros
DrChrono is a perfect one-size-fits-all solution for my office and as a sole practitioner, it helps me do everything from scheduling to the intake of paperwork to note-taking, checkout, etc. from a single device. I love the ability to take templates created by other users and then edit them off. It also integrates square for payment.
Cons
It would’ve been better if they had both an android app and the ios app. Being able to use many android tablets is better than spending the money on iPads.

“It is not a good software
Pros
It is a terrible software. Before signing with them check out every detail. I would still not recommend anyone getting this tool. They just promise that their software can do a lot, but in reality, it cannot.
Cons
The implementation process is poor. The implementation specialist has been able to take less time and have very short meetings to answer questions about our business. Their team is highly unprofessional. They would ignore our calls and hang on us when trying to reach out to management to complain.

“Works extremely well and almost flawlessly
Pros
Overall this software works extremely well and almost flawlessly for me. For starters it keeps my calendar organized and stores documentation, case notes and patient photos, handles billing reliably and even supports patient outreach and messaging. The interface feels very user-friendly as it is simple to use, user friendly and easy to navigate. Overall I really love it. I can create my own templates and later return to tweak them especially shortcuts and the built-in tools for physicians. It has helped us organize our practice, makes accessing patient information fast and easy, is extremely powerful and the team keeps rolling out new features and improvements.
Cons
Because it's cloud-based I do encounter occasional connection issues which can be annoying during busy clinic hours or when I need immediate access.

“Great product very easy to set up
Pros
I appreciate the ability to use templates created by other users and customize them. The integration with Square for payment is also a plus.
Cons
I wish they had an Android app in addition to the iOS one as it would be easier and more cost-effective to use multiple Android tablets instead of spending money on iPads.

“Straightforward EHR Management
Pros
We used DrChrono for a client in March 2019. While lacking robust features the user-friendly software and engaging interface make up for it. The mobile app is a definite advantage and I could see myself using this software again in the future.
Cons
Although I wouldnt complain if another client used this software I prefer some of its more feature-rich user-friendly competitors like Kareo or Therapy Notes.

“Don't buy the hype
Pros
The sales pitch was impressive but unfortunately none of the functions we use work well consistently or as expected.
Cons
Accessing old notes without modifications is nearly impossible. Finding vital signs from a closed chart requires navigating through multiple pages. Lab results are challenging to locate and controlled scripts often encounter errors. Text reminders are unreliable leading to missed appointments. Changing a patients status from checked in to in room sometimes glitches causing patient complaints. The template system seems useful but lacks real-time editing capabilities. The kiosk sign-in concept often breaks compromising patient privacy.

“extremely user friendly interface
Pros
Found the interface extremely user friendly making it simple and easy to use.
Cons
In my experience the program still has quite a few glitches for example, handling billing for self-pay patients is really tedious and eats up a lot of time. When I accidentally enter an incorrect payment amount and then try to correct it later the system often cannot process the adjustment correctly. It then mixes up the account details and sometimes shows that the patient has a credit balance even though I know there isn't any such credit.

“simple usage but painfully slow load times
Pros
I like that I am still able to use the product in its entirety without having to process billing or accept insurance.
Cons
honestly I am really frustrated by the long load times when starting the app and when switching between a patient's chart and the scheduler. Overall it's painfully slow.

“excellent web interface and polite support
Pros
For me their web interface is excellent as I find it simple to use and easy to navigate and their customer care team has always been polite and helpful.
Cons
I think DrChrono doesn't show much empathetic listening when I raise business-related issues, except for the billing team who are more understanding.

“To switch or not to switch
Pros
I appreciate that DrChrono is a cloud-based EMR system allowing us to work from anywhere and access the schedule at any time.
Cons
Being cloud-based means its unusable without internet access and setting up reports is challenging. Attempts to use their coding and claim submission team resulted in numerous problems. Customer service can only be reached via DrChrono customer support leading to long wait times.
