“Large Practice EMR”
Pros
eClinicalWorks is among one of the best EMR choices for large healthcare facilities and for those trying to get into IPA should definitely enlist it among their top choices. It has a great many functionalities to offer.
Cons
The customer support staff is entirely outsourced. you pay for training and after months you realize the trainers did not even specialize in that field and probably had very little idea to what they were talking about. I ended up having no choice to file complaints about issues I had and the follow-ups on them were irregular as anything. I would get calls at random hours. disrupting clinic work or whatever Id be doing and to top that, the operators rarely spoke English. there was so much miscommunication that often ended in them referring me to a different team. after scheduling calls with them, they tell me that they cannot help me either. it has been incredibly frustrating trying to get any answers or help out of them so I mostly just give up on them.

“The right EMR for clinical use. Amazing functionalities”
Pros
We use eClinicalWorks in a clinic-based environment and it has worked out great for us. The system is adaptable and intuitive and once you learn to operate it, it becomes very easy to use on a daily basis to fill out notes, auto-populate information, code for billing and deal with messaging and e-prescriptions. The EMR has a very well-laid out simple layout to ensure maximum understanding and ease of use for clients. The message inbox with the latest updates from labs or patients is a very helpful feature. You can receive and respond to messages from other vendors and patients without individually giving out email addresses or phone numbers. This interactive feature has made its communication with other departments and patients very convenient.
Cons
There is a rather challenging learning curve for this software but once you get past that and learn what does what, located where the system has a lot to offer to ease your daily working. Although there are still some features that take a while to locate. The limitation of only being able to view one tab at a time is a little annoying.

eClinicalWorks (eCW) offers accessibility through PC installation or web browsers. It provides commendable features and functionalities with occasional instances of sluggish performance in both usage modes.

“eCW for small practices”
Pros
Recognized among the favored Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) for large hospitals ECW proves beneficial for those seeking entry into their Independent Practice Association (IPA).
Cons
Customer service is outsourced entirely demanding payment for a trainer and problems often necessitate tickets with responses at inconvenient times. Language barriers and unhelpful responses are prevalent making post-contract communication challenging.

“Too many clicks/windows. Don't love the Hub system.”
Pros
The reviewer with extensive EMR experience expresses dissatisfaction with ECW unfavorably comparing it to previous systems like Athena and Practice Fusion. Notably issues and glitches experienced with ECW are absent in the prior systems.
Cons
Criticisms include excessive clicks freezing requiring frequent logouts and subpar functionality on iPad and iPhone versions. ICD-10 lookup pharmacy linking and prescription records are highlighted as flawed. Glitches in the referral and telephone encounter counters are noted making the system appear glitchy.

“The service is not good at all.”
Pros
When I switched from practice fusion in my solo practice to a local office, I had many expectations for a better, more organized EMR with all these integrated functions and features. But all that I got was a difficult system with any additional feature requests requiring extra payments. I do not understand why any large hospital would use this system. They charge you for every little thing. My previous system was free and had loads more to offer and was easy to use. There is cluttering and confusion in every aspect of the system. Every tab opens in a new window to the point where the system crashes and you have to redo the whole thing. I have used many EHRs over the years for extensive periods of time and this is by far the worst in terms of ease of use and things you can do with it (that don’t each have to be paid for).
Cons
Even after paying for everything, eClinical’s workability is a mess. The system hangs/crashes too often. Every little task requires many steps. Their OS is truly awful and cumbersome. Their ICD-10 lookup is the worst I have ever come across. Linkups with pharmacies are such a hassle. Prescription records and poorly placed, no list for controlled substances. E- medicine requests rarely go through. Writing prescriptions is a challenge. Using this system is a punishment in itself.

“Simple and comprehensive”
Pros
For the most part, we have been all around satisfied with eClinicalWorks, it has helped us recognize what zones need improvement for documentation, sorted out in one framework tracking tasks, helping providers in comprehending the sent and received payments, and simply changed how things are done in our practice. In the event that you experience an issue, you can check their site for learning before dropping a ticket and watch a basic comprehensive tutorial. eCinicalWorks is user-friendly. I like how you can send messages to staff and track whether they have worked and the general way the product works.
Cons
I will say there are two or three drawbacks to utilizing eClinicalWorks however the pluses certainly exceed the minuses. On the off chance that you have any issues, a ticket must be made and you should anticipate a follow up for your issues to be settled. you cannot batch and dispatch bills at the end of every day, instead, you have to mark checked on every single claim.

“eClinical is great!”
Pros
I love eClinicalWorks. It is an amazing system and will help you achieve a lot in your medical practice. This is the first ever EMR that I have used, and I would say I am glad that it didn’t disappoint me. It is the highlight of my medical career. The billing function is super awesome. Customizing the charting function is easy. Scheduling appointment is a relief for me due to this system. It is so easy to write notes, and the fact that everything being labelled for our ease is amazing. It is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality EMR.
Cons
The least likely thing about this EMR are the reports, as it isn’t easy to get how it works. It took a lot of hit and try to actually understand the reporting functionality of this system, but once I got it everything fell into place. Monitoring my practice became easy as I was able to obtain all the information that I needed.

“Great PM and EHR services ”
Pros
The software has some great functionalities to offer. we utilize it for population health management, quality reporting, documentation, and practice management purposes. it has all the functions you would need in a good EMR for ever-flourishing primary health clinics with multiple locations.
Cons
The data placements is not the most intuitive. sometimes you would expect some records to extracted from a certain location but they are produced from an entirely different place. the calculations are sometimes off. and a few other unusual results the software produces out of nowhere which have no correlation with the input or required data.

“Horrible service. Not at all recommended”
Pros
Some of the highlights are decent, you can enter your advisors (yet you need to do this physically). Has e-endorsing yet hard to get lab interfaces or controlled e-recommending. Notes do look like notes and a portion of the formats for tests are anything but difficult to utilize.
Cons
Horrible client administration. Too costly for an obsolete system. When I left, I paid $5000 to get my records to move into my new EMR. They sent me a hard drive with information in arbitrary game plans and adulterated information. eClinicalWorks has a complicated framework that is so twisted, it will never work effectively. Each time there is an update, so many functions stop working. getting somebody who talks justifiable English or even somebody to react to your issue is rare whenever you need customer support. You may get a follow up a few days after, at any random hour. The main individuals there who speak English are funnily, the sales representatives.

“Progressive”
Pros
It is a progressive software. They keep on improving and keep adding new features in it which is amazing. I have used a lot of EMRs before, and out of all of them, this would have to be the best and my favorite. Their tech team usually solves your problems quicker than the rest of the EMR tech support teams. They do cost their new features or add-on, but in comparison I would say that eClinicalWorks is quite reasonable. It is a cloud-based system, which has resolved all our hosting issues. They have really great features patient engagement, appointment making, scheduling etc. I would definitely recommend this software to everyone.
Cons
Their reporting part is not really good, and it would be better if they work on improving it. Searching databases is hard as well to get accurate results. Many years ago their revenue cycle management seemed unreliable but now theyve worked on it. Theyre progressive, so you should give it a shot. Youll love it.

“Beware”
Pros
Despite some favorable features the manual entry requirement for consultants and challenges in obtaining lab interfaces or controlled e-prescribing are acknowledged. The notes' appearance and user-friendly templates for exams are cited as positive aspects.
Cons

Pros
Praising eClinicalWorks as an all-inclusive software the reviewer appreciates its messaging capabilities to staff effective progress tracking and various dedicated inboxes for fax documents and prescriptions. The software's holistic approach to monitoring is highlighted.
Cons
Acknowledges downsides such as the need for individual claim handling yet praises eCW for eliminating errors. Despite the time-consuming nature of resolving issues through tickets the overall positive aspects outweigh the negatives.
