“everything on a single page”
Pros
Everything I need to document appears on a single page. The software is neatly organized and I really value being able to design my own templates because it makes documentation go much faster.
Cons
Occasionally the application takes a while to refresh. When others document parts for me as for instance, a medical assistant who records the HPI as they don't automatically appear as having signed the entry. It would be helpful to have an obvious indication that the MA completed and signed the HPI so there's no ambiguity.

“Lots of useful access logging”
Pros
I have found eClinicalWorks offers a lot of useful features. What I particularly like is that it records and shows who accessed a patient's chart and logs any edits and updated details within that chart.
Cons
Every so often I get an alert saying something like other user interrupted action while I am in the middle of a task that shouldn't be interruptible. When that happens the software freezes and prevents me from proceeding with any steps, forcing me to completely exit the application and sign in again before I can continue.

“Works well for us”
Pros
It works well for us as it gets the job done. You can make it do anything you want but you firstly got to learn how, after that it is very easy for you to manage things and handle it well. You can get anything done from the system. You can easily get reports, manage billing etc. Their support team is prompt in responding. Their billing module is reasonable and is pretty good.
Cons
Whenever you upgrade the system, usually there are a few things that might stop working and that kind of gets really frustrating. Sometimes you have to click a lot just to complete a task. Working with the reporting side of this system wasn’t great until the mid of 2018, and now they’ve upgraded their system and we’re still waiting for them to make it work. They don’t have templates so setting up would be hard for anyone as you’ve got to do it from scratch. I think that it is like most of the EMRs out there, and no EMR is yet so perfect.

“Really easy with a single day”
Pros
Overall the software is really easy to use and pick up since I only needed a single day to get how the program operates. I also like that it keeps me signed in. Also the Billing section and claims handling are excellent. Reporting is great too. The patient hub lets me access everything in one place. I am a fan of the tickler because it reminds me about all my tasks.
Cons
I am annoyed that I am forced to update my password every month. On occasion the system freezes while I am in the middle of typing a note. Adding immunization records is really time-consuming. There's also an excessive amount of clicking and the scheduled color coding feels cumbersome. The customer support experience is poor. Don't count on speaking to someone with clear English as I often find their language hard to follow.

“Change is inevitable”
Pros
They believe that change is inevitable and for that they keep on updating and upgrading their system accordingly which is a great thing for them to do. Their support team has improved a lot over the past 6 months. They focus more on customer satisfaction and will go all the way to help you resolve any issues that you are facing with the system.
Cons
As they keep on improving, updating and upgrading their system, there are always new things that we have to learn, and it sometimes it gets hard to cope up with all the learning and stuff. Although it is really great that they improve but learning again and again for us seems a bit annoying. They should make things easier when they improve it for the providers so that we can focus more on patient care.

“Windows-based program”
Pros
eClinicalWorks being a windows-based program is really great, as it makes navigation easy. It is easy to use, there are many ways to do a task. They have a very wide variety of functions and features, which is according to the medical field. Accessing the database and all is very reliable, and we’ve hardly faced any problem with it.
Cons
Sometimes all the features and functionalities can be overwhelming when it comes to the point where you have to train new staff. It can get a bit tricky to do that as there are so many ways to do a task. It kind of looks unorganized, but the good thing is that my staff can navigate through it.

“Comprehensive and generally easy”
Pros
I have been using this comprehensive electronic medical record platform for quite sometime now. And thanks to its large user base and years of development, it is extremely thorough and generally easy to navigate.
Cons
It is not always easy to use as there are occasional bugs and at times it feels inflexible.

“easy search and chart locating”
Pros
It is easy to search patient charts and quickly locate what I need inside each chart. Plus the way the categories are organized makes using them pretty easy.
Cons
Honestly I get frustrated by how many clicks are required to complete basic tasks in the system. it feels like I am clicking far too often to get anything done.

“scheduling is easy”
Pros
The scheduling is easy to navigate and checking availability of doctors is easy. Each doctor is separated by colours. Billing feature is great as well. Patient records make it easy to search for their insurance. It is a pretty decent EMR.
Cons
Getting help from their tech team takes time, usually if they don’t respond back in time or are unable to resolve the issue then a lot of my time gets wasted due to this, in which I could simply have done the task or many other tasks.

“Unprofessional financial department”
Pros
The team doesn’t seem to be friendly at all. The claims or promises they make about their system doesn’t show up on the screen.
Cons
I will not recommend this EMR to anyone. They have federal government penalty that charges you for unnecessary things. They exploit you in every possible way and bully as well. The financial department is very lousy and unprofessional in their dealings. They use unethical ways of taking money from you. I complained about them, but it was useless. They just discontinued my support and now it affects my patient care. It isn’t a good product and the people dealing aren’t professional at all.

“Fantastic Product”
Pros
This software is great, and I really like its practice management side. It gives a lot of opportunities to improve and do things in a better way. It is easy to navigate. The features that this product have is amazing and especially the billing part. The kiosk and questionnaire features are great and have helped a lot with meeting clinical integration measures. It has helped us improve patient care and manage billing.
Cons
The reporting part of this product needs to improve a lot. It is not the way it should be. It has a lot of missing information and does not fit accordingly to the medical field. This is the only thing that they really need to work on, if they improve this, that would make this product the best.

“Ongoing technical errors and very slow”
Pros
One thing I really like is how simple it is to use. ECW is also user friendly for new hires to pick up. The customizable color coding and personalization make the interface attractive and the screen transitions tend to run pretty smoothly overall.
Cons
I have been battling ongoing technical errors and sluggish performance and as the office manager I feel like I am submitting break-fix tickets every single week. Our providers constantly get annoyed by wireless disconnects which have seemed to worsen since we migrated to the cloud a couple of years ago. IT promised they'd address these problems but so far I haven't seen much improvement.

“easy access electronic health record”
Pros
The best feature of it is that it lets me keep an electronic health record for my patients that's easy to access whenever I need it.
Cons
I have noticed the program can be sluggish at times and because it depends entirely on an internet connection, I am unable to use it whenever our internet goes down.

“simple interface with smooth features”
Pros
Its interface is simple and easy to use. Plus its features guide me and it runs smoothly.

“Amazingly handles many workflows”
Pros
I am amazed by how much it can handle as scheduling, billing, messaging, prescriptions, reporting and integrations with hundreds of other services. If there's a workflow you need, eClinicalWorks or one of their partners usually covers it. The support team has been consistently friendly and they reply to tickets quickly which I appreciate. Also, in my setup it runs smoothly even on older, low-spec hardware without any noticeable lag.
Cons
I have learned that it really needs someone dedicated to managing it as having a single point of contact works best in my experience. That person has to keep track of every change and be on top of any issues because problems can pop up and vigilance is required. It's not a set-and-forget system. many components demand manual updates. I have also found it to be somewhat unstable at times which leads to frequent support calls and the user activity logging is disappointingly weak.

“Superior product”
Pros
When we implemented this system in our office we needed more help from the customer support team. They have been great and have helped us a lot whenever we needed them. The system is very detailed and because of that it took us more time to understand how it all works completely. The customer support team had offered to train us several times especially for those who don’t understand the system fully. It has a lot of software options and is great.
Cons
We needed more functionalities for our office due to which the learning curve was quite long for us. It is a lot to take in. It took our staff 3 months to completely adjust to this new system.
