“Pretty basic and easy to learn”
Pros
The user interface is pretty basic. So yes it's easy to learn, simple to teach to others and moving between sections is clear and quick which can be vital depending on the patient or care scenario.
Cons
Sometimes I find it painfully slow especially when many people are on the system, after updates or when the internet connection isn't strong.

“lightweight and cloud-accessible”
Pros
The system is very fast and flexible, it is easy to use, makes it a lot easier for us as it is cloud-accessible. Your data is managed by them, and you don’t really have to worry about it, you can easily access it from anywhere and at any time. Companies who don’t have a proper IT infrastructure should definitely go for this option, it will make their lives easier.
Cons
The price can be a bit high for the cloud-based option as you have to pay them for managing your data and providing you all the services. Sometimes getting your credentials can be a challenge.

“It goes beyond.”
Pros
Two years back we switched from another EMR to eClinicalWorks and I must say this a great product. They think of the future and are making things better, so that patient care could keep on improving. The practice management is good, their clinical side is easy to use, and their patient engagement tool is amazing too. The way they keep on improving and introducing new functionalities and features, we believe that the investment we made in this product has been great. It also helps you out if you are starting out a small business of yours.
Cons
The report that it generates can’t be viewed easily, it needs another tool to do that, which make report viewing a bit difficult. Their query writer tool is a very powerful and great tool but requires knowledge of query writing to use it the way it is meant to be used. Many small to medium sized companies usually don’t have that kind of advanced knowledge to use it.

“eClinical is best for large practices.”
Pros
It is quite easy to get your hands on this EHR system, as their functions and features are pretty straightforward. It easily accommodates all your practitioners and staff as it allows and handles a large volume of files and databases. It manages everything easily from medical offices to patient charting, but I think it would work better for large practices, as we are a small practice and the price is quite expensive.
Cons
Their tech support team responds very quickly but the fact of them helping you is not immediate. To get things and issues actually fixed takes time. eClinical is expensive, just to let you all know.

“Incredibly user-friendly with helpful features”
Pros
I have found this program incredibly user-friendly and packed with helpful features that I rely on every day. It manages the full range of information we handle routinely and even our physicians appreciate it because it lets them complete many tasks electronically.
Cons
What bothers me is that there's no way to print the claim history directly from the account inquiry page. I think that feature should be added. I am also frustrated by how our bad debt claims are managed because it makes it difficult for me to quickly see the account balance at a glance.

“Modern features, great basic billing”
Pros
The EMR and front-office modules is packed with a lot of modern, useful features and I also find the basic billing capabilities to be great.
Cons
That said, I think the enterprise billing and reporting features lack sophistication and the interface feels cluttered and inconsistent.

“Really user-friendly for quick learning”
Pros
As per me eClinicalWorks interface is really user-friendly. I picked things up while working and was feeling confident with the basics after just two days on the job. It also makes it easy to see who handled each task which helps keep continuity of care and makes future training and fixing errors much simpler.
Cons
It really annoys me that when I am editing a note and someone else anywhere opens and types in the same document, it wipes out what I have entered. I also get frustrated that I cannot open Hub when it's already running in another window or tab. These little quirks seriously disrupt my workflow and steal time from my already packed day.

“All-in-one for records and refills”
Pros
I have found it to be an all-in-one platform for handling electronic medical records, communicating with patients, processing refills and more.
Cons
We cannot get it to connect with other tools our practice relies on, such as Sycle and GSI Suite which is frustrating.

“Quite easy to use and learn”
Pros
This software quite easy to use and learn.
Cons
What frustrates me most is that the scanning function is incredibly cumbersome. I am constantly annoyed that the software is so particular about which scanners it supports and it will sometimes just refuse to work. I'd really appreciate a simple option to upload files directly from my computer instead of being forced to scan everything because that would be an easy way around the scanner problems. On top of that, it's irritating that the program only runs in Google Chrome as limiting the software to a single browser feels unnecessarily restrictive. Requiring a browser plug-in creates another layer of potential failure and when the plug-in doesn't cooperate I end up wasting a lot of time trying to diagnose and fix the issue instead of getting my work done.

“Love creating custom templates”
Pros
I really love that I can create custom templates and even merge multiple ones together to fit my needs!
Cons
My biggest annoyance is the front-page calendar won't sync with my clinic's encounter page so I cannot easily coordinate appointments.

“Frequent errors and slow performance”
Pros
eClinicalWorks interface is pleasant and I usually get quick responses from their support team.
Cons
I encounter frequent errors and it often feels like when support patches one issue, a different problem pops up as a result. Even so, I find it preferable to the previous EHR we used, although it does tend to be slow on many occasions.

“Want to switch to an EMR which is easy and cost effective”
Pros
For 10 years I’ve been using eClinicalWorks EMR. I’ve had a love hate relation with it. This is a cheaper product than many other EHRs out there, which is one major reason why I chose it in the first place. I can easily copy over and separate out any section.
Cons
I might not be able to mention all the cons probably as there’s a long list to it, but here’s a few. The do have good tutorials for you to learn from but when it comes to more detailed use of the system or in-depth education, they’ve got nothing to offer you. They keep charging you extra when they add interfaces, documents etc. The system often freezes, and is unstable, have to reboot it a lot of the time. It is not an easy product or system to use.

“Manual entry feels old-school”

“Customer support is poor.”
Pros
This EMR is quite reasonable and is easy to use. It was working just fine for us until an update came in August or September, that update ruined a lot of things for us. Since that update we’ve been facing a lot of issues that haven’t been fixed yet.
Cons
I would never recommend this EMR to anyone knowing that I have been complaining about an issue and it has been 5 months, yet it hasn’t been fixed. They have a very poor customer support team. The response that we get is very late or sometimes none at all. We’ve been facing an issue for quite a long time and have been placing a ticket regularly yet there has been no response to it. The price is reasonable, but if they can’t resolve issues that their customers face and do not even care to respond back then they’re not even worth it.

“easy booking and progress sharing”
Pros
It is easy to book appointments, send in refill requests and share patients progress notes. I mean just a couple of mouse clicks and everyone in the office, plus outside colleagues could see the updates.
Cons
My only problem with eClinicalWorks is the lack of an integrated file retrieval system as they force us to use an external solution and honestly I would love the option to bundle the entire chart into a single PDF so I don't have to log into a different service just to access those documents.

“excellent emr with smooth workflow”
Pros
In my experience ECW has been an excellent EMR. I find the interface very user friendly and easy to use! Compared with many other platforms that force multiple clicks, this one organizes workflow. And once I am inside a patient's chart it's easy to add orders, review of systems and demographic details to the record!
Cons
I honestly have no complaints. ECW is among the best systems I have ever worked with.
