“messages and chart navigation laggy”
Pros
the way documents are organized and the use of timestamped actions really helpful.
Cons
One thing I really dislike is that message threads cannot stay inside a patient's chart the way emails do and you can only send a telephone encounter to one recipient at a time. I also found it frustrating that opening a document tied to a chart prevents me from navigating through the rest of the chart at the same time. a document opened from within a chart effectively locks me out of doing anything else in that chart. On top of that, when I plan to work with more than one patient's chart concurrently, I end up having to run a ridiculous number of eClinicalWorks windows because there are no tabs or a way to switch between patients in a single window. That makes my workflow clumsy and creates desktop clutter.

“Great customizable emr solution”
Pros
For my medical practice, eclinicalworks has been a great EMR solution. I can customize it to suit the way I prefer to use it daily.
Cons
I found it rather challenging to learn at first because it was my first time using an EMR. it's not an issue anymore.

“Good EHR and Billing”
Pros
The integrated fax function works really well and attaching documents to charts are easy. They can get most of the things done as long as you are willing to pay for it. The software is easy to learn and use.
Cons
Tech support is not efficient, It is hard at times to understand what they are saying. Having support in the US will help.

“Service and support”
Pros
The system itself is reasonable and good.
Cons
The customer support is not so good. Anytime we face an issue, we have to communicate with them and their support team doesn’t seem to be responsive plus it is really hard to communicate with them. They notify you that they’ll call back, but they don’t. There seems to be a language barrier as well with most of their support team. I would not recommend this software to anyone.

“eCw should improve their services to get 5 stars from me”
Pros
Some of the functionalitities on the clinical side are good but overall the system needs a major upgrade
Cons
Worst customer services, I was expecting a better service considering they are a large company. It is hard to communicate with the reps due to language issues.

“No spell check function”
Pros
Function rich product works well on the cloud, responsive support team
Cons
There is no spell check functionality which I feel odd in a software that is built in todays day and age. The screen is too busy so it is hard to navigate or find what you are looking for.

“Too many functions but not easy to use”
Pros
They continue to improve the system and stay on top of the dynamic healthcare industry. We always find a feature or functionality for our complex requirement.
Cons
the system is complex and not easy to use for our providers. We were trained many many years ago on how to customize the system but they have upgraded so much over the years that it is hard to learn those changes. They should do regular training so that we can improve the system for the providers so they can focus on patients.

“Largest cloud ehr in the us”
Pros
I have come to rely on it as the largest cloud EHR in the US and I find submitting data to the RHIO pretty easy with it.
Cons
As a user, I often have to spend time explaining how to adhere to CDA and HL7 standards.

“Reliable cloud platform, poor support”
Pros
Having used it for years, I feel eCW was one of the first to bring EMRs into the cloud. Their early efforts weren't perfect but they've grown into a reliable platform with many extra services. For most practices I work with, being able to hand off a large chunk of compliance, uptime and related responsibilities is incredibly valuable and for offices spread across locations it simplifies networking because end users connect straight to the cloud instead of routing through complex VPNs.
Cons
I find their support needs improvement. I often interact with offshore teams so there can be occasional communication or accent-related misunderstandings. A bigger issue, though, is the sheer inconsistency of the support experience. some agents are excellent but the general help desk frequently lacks the depth of product knowledge required. They should really implement a clear tiered support model T1/T2 so that qualified, experienced users can escalate directly to level two. Too often I end up explaining how the software operates to the technician which is both time-consuming and aggravating. This wastes my time and undermines confidence in their support.

“Best for small to medium practices.”
Pros
I am a practice consultant, and physicians who want to start their own business I always recommend eClincalWorks to them, as the cost is reasonable, and it is easy to use. The training that they offer is excellent, and you can quickly learn to use the product. The billing is easy and intuitive.
Cons
No product is perfect, and in this regard, I would say that eClinicalWorks is not so different, but yet it is quite an amazing product and reasonable as well.

“It is very expensive”
Pros
They are good in terms of fixing issues and always stay on top of regulations. The product works well once you get the hang of it.
Cons
The tech support is horrible. English is hardly a first language in the support team which makes things difficult. It takes ages for them to resolve issues or reply back on inquiry.

“huge set of tools, occasionally sluggish”
Pros
For my clinic ECW offers a huge set of tools that let us handle almost any workflow. I also like how smoothly it pairs with Dragon for dictation. There are lots of capabilities, it is good for billing and the interface looks neat and uncluttered.
Cons
Occasionally the system feels sluggish and I end up clicking through too many screens to move between sections. It also packs so many functions that I needed quite a bit of time to get comfortable with the full scope of features.

“Well-integrated billing and emr”
Pros
I have used this before and I am currently running a trial through SRS. I really like how well billing and the EMR are integrated.
Cons
At times customer service pushes what seem like minor problems onto the back burner and I feel those matters can be quite significant for our team.

“Great Software”
Pros
This product is easy to use and navigate through screens and functionalities. The interface is user-friendly. The medical billing module is very easy to use and makes life easier. Scheduling is very easy. The medical billing module has many functionalities and features that makes it easy to operate and fun too. You can easily balance out a claim, leave notes to the claim, can view EOBS on a claim etc. It is a fantastic software.
Cons
Their support team is not located here so it can be difficult reaching out to them for any help needed to resolve the issue related to the system. Since the last changes made about a year ago, the software report is hard to view, it requires another tool to view it. Before these changes the system itself was capable of generating these reports.

“Frequent downtime and unhelpful support”
Pros
It is really easy to pull up patient records and the calendar view helps keep things organized. Plus the progress notes plus the sidebar offer a lot of useful information.
Cons
However I have run into frustrating issues. Such as customer support is unhelpful, the system goes down frequently and I come across errors and glitches often. It even takes excessive clicking to reach a specific document or result, many of the settings are not easy to understand for users and I miss having a web-based option.

“Flexible with custom templates”
Pros
eCW is very flexible as I can add custom templates and other types of structured data into the EMR which lets me tailor the product to match my specific workflows and needs.
Cons
Often I find that completing routine tasks requires far too many clicks which is something I associate with EMRs in general. Beyond that, I have experienced eCW being somewhat guarded about sharing specifics on how their database is organized.
