“duplicate data entries”
Pros
As a clinician I find the interface very user friendly and navigation around the system is pretty easy too.
Cons
I have found that information often doesn't transfer across multiple sections and because of that I frequently have to enter the same patient details manually multiple times during routine use.

“Flexible but slow customizations”
Pros
It is flexible enough to be tailored to a lot of our specific requirements.
Cons
We find that those customizations can require quite a bit of time before they're fully implemented.

“extremely user-friendly and customizable”
Pros
I have found eCW extremely user-friendly and I am a big fan of the customization options and the ability to access it through a secured browser. With my hybrid work arrangement, being able to use it remotely has been incredibly helpful for staying productive across different locations.
Cons
One drawback I have come across is that certain customization choices I want simply are not offered. Also, the button icons aren't always easy to understand at first and they only become clear after I have spent some time getting familiar with the interface.

“Built-in tools for every task”
Pros
What stands out about eClinicalWorks is the number of built-in tools that let me handle virtually every task in our clinic. I can create claims and payments, book and reschedule patients, process refunds, oversee accounts, pull reports and organize documents. Beyond that, I love that it supports team collaboration through features like Jellybean. The result is that things like faxing, telephone encounters and secure messaging make working with other staff and clinicians stress free.
Cons
My main problem with eClinicalWorks is that it can freeze at times, forcing me to wait and sometimes get kicked out of the program. When that happens it becomes a real problem for those of us working in a high-volume, fast-paced setting where we need the system to be responsive constantly. I also find the reporting options too limited as I'd like to see eClinicalWorks expand the variety and flexibility of its report tools.

“ECW review”
Pros
It's a user-friendly program that simplifies patient medical record viewing and scheduling.
Cons
If one window is open accessing another is impossible. For instance scheduling an appointment without closing an open encounter isn't feasible.

“Connects numerous systems, hard reporting”
Pros
I appreciate that eCW lets me connect numerous systems and operate everything from a single screen rather than juggling several windows. That setup really simplifies how I handle payments and check claims.
Cons
In my experience with eCW I have noticed that certain pieces of information can be hard to locate within the system's reporting section at times.

“Underwhelming and hard to get around”
Pros
Honestly I find this program underwhelming at best as it's awkward and hard to get around and it feels outdated for today's standards.
Cons
There is effectively no customer service as you cannot reach a live person for help. Everything must be submitted through the online portal, including support requests, yet when a dispute arises those tickets often go ignored. Trying to cancel providers has been a nightmare as I have been charged for provider services for well over a year because they refused to remove them and getting a refund feels impossible without taking legal action. They even threaten to cut off access unless you keep paying for providers or services you're not using especially if they claim removal wasn't done promptly. Unless you can dedicate someone full-time to closely monitor this account and every single change order, you're better off avoiding the headaches and saving your money. From my perspective, it's worth switching to a proven system like Athena Healthcare, Cerner, GE Centricity or NextGen. because this software itself needs significant updates as it's not user friendly and combined with the lack of support that has pushed me to give it a 1 rating.

“Preserves entries but crashes often”
Pros
One advantage I noticed is that eClinicalWorks preserves my entries even if the system times out. I had lost notes before when I used Cerner during my dietetic internship.
Cons
However the server seems to crash multiple times during some weeks. Whenever eCW had issues, our EHR support team told me I could contact an eCW representative but when I tried they never followed up which was disappointing. that happened back in 2020. Beyond reliability, the interface forces too many unnecessary clicks as I wish they would organize encounters as and several controls are tiny so I have to be extremely precise when I click which is frustrating when I am trying to see about 26 patients in a single day. Also, their mobile app feels very basic and underdeveloped.

“excellent ehr but awkward navigation”
Pros
As per me it is an excellent EHR that really fits clinic needs. True to its name clinic the downloadable application makes it easy to access patient charts, enter documentation add lab results and medications and handle other tasks related to electronic health records.
Cons
One frustrating issue I ran into is that navigating between different sections inside a patient's chart and across the whole EHR can be awkward. Certain parts of the user interface feel complex and at times outright buggy which interrupts workflow. After a recent update I used, the change that bothered me most was the lockout behavior. Because if I was editing a patient chart, other users couldn't make edits at the same time. To me that's a major drawback that warrants rethinking. The system should at least allow simultaneous, real-time edits that everyone with chart access can see live. Otherwise the whole point of using an electronic health record for speeding up documentation and coordination gets undermined and in practice it can end up taking just as long as keeping a handwritten chart.

Pros
A superb system allowing users to scan and organize essential documents under multiple files and tabs for each patient. The interface is easy to navigate offering an all-in-one solution with crucial medical management features.

Pros
I am really happy with the training they provided both during the implementation phase and after the product was live.
Cons
To be honest the application's UX could be more user friendly and at times it feels like I need to hunt around to find certain functions but I will also agree that EVA is useful and does help me when I am looking up the things we need.

“refreshing ehr with extensive data recording”
Pros
Having worked with several other electronic health record systems, I honestly consider it a breath of fresh air. Plus the way it lets me record so many types of information is outstanding. Whether I am entering clinical medical details or routine visit notes, it handles everything well. The interface is also easy to move through and I picked it up very quickly.
Cons
The main drawback for me is the session timeout. it logs me out far too quickly which can interrupt my workflow. Also I am annoyed by how often I am required to update my password since having to change it so frequently feels unnecessary.

“This is not your best option”
Pros
The notes are thoughtfully structured with PMH SH etc. on the left column and essential information centered. Adding personalized "sticky notes" about patients without it becoming part of the official note is a helpful feature. Scheduling patients and visualizing the schedule is fairly easy both in list format and blocks.
Cons
Customer support is nonexistent. They always say "it cannot be done" while your medical assistant finds solutions online discouraging support calls. - The system is intricate with numerous features but understanding is hindered by the lack of support and time constraints. - Excessive clicks added due to legal issues contribute to inefficiency and financial losses. - Program updates unexpectedly break previously functioning features necessitating extensive phone calls for fixes. - There's a lack of concern for customer complaints suggesting an indifferent approach. - The system appears crafted by computer enthusiasts without consideration for user needs.
