Functional basic EMR

Pros

Navigation through the program is straightforward. Ordering medications and e-prescribing is relatively easy with a slight learning curve that becomes manageable with experience.

Cons

Health care maintenance checks are inadequate leaving gaps for follow-ups. E-prescribing becomes confusing when selecting a location.

Nursing perspective

Pros

Having used eClinicalWorks for many years I now appreciate its strong user support resource after transitioning to a new electronic medical record. On-site trainers were available for several days initially and remained accessible for ongoing support.

Cons

Scheduling features were slightly lacking in customization for our setting prompting necessary changes with a helpful team.

extremely easy with incredibly helpful support

Pros

I am finding the software extremely easy to use and the customer support and my account manager have been incredibly helpful.

Cons

Because the initial training felt inadequate to me I ended up needing to purchase additional sessions to get our team properly up to speed.

slower navigation and poor interface

Pros

My administrators tell me they find it useful for running the business.

Cons

In my experience I find it slower to navigate than Epic. The layout pushes me to jump between multiple sections where different kinds of information live and that slows my workflow. It's a pain to copy details from an old note into the active one and tracking down records from external providers like the EDs is difficult. Overall the interface feels clunky and I'd estimate it runs about ten percent less efficient than Epic or Cerner which really matters during a hectic clinic day.

No one really cares about the users

Pros

No one really cares about the users. Every update is pushed out without adequate testing. Increasingly it seems like a Rube Goldberg machine. For instance, characters commonly used and on common USA keyboards are arbitrarily poison to the system.

Cons

Luckily you pay a lot for the basic and for each ad on which seem to be included in more current systems.

The transcribing feature is perfect and we have had no trouble accessing our patient records electronically. They introduce updates that make the system even better.

Poor Service All Around

Pros

Consistently something was not functioning properly.

Cons

Cumbersome processes involve additional charges for integrating equipment or software. SAM is unreliable and lacks accountability. Attempting to cancel results in extended charges after the retention department persuades continued usage. A costly system especially in these times.

Pros

The transcribing feature is the only good thing about it.

Cons

We have been scammed! The process for lodging complaints is so bad and then we have to wait for them to call back at their convenience. I would not recommend it to anyone.

It gets the work done

Pros

ECW can get most of what you need to be done. I work basically on the detailing side and staff support. The capacity to drag reports is great with their EBO framework. We get nearly everything we require and the support and billing benefit is also great.

Cons

Anytime you are planning to work, something isnt planning to work which is exceptionally baffling. In case youre doing CPC practice you will be baffled as their reporting dashboard took until the center of 2018 to begin working and after that we upgraded and presently we are holding up for the dashboard to get fixed.

It seems like an unsafe EMR

Pros

There is nothing that attracts me to use eClinical. I dont like this software

Cons

This program is composed of ancient codes, it requires way as well numerous clicks to get things done. You are not able to multi task with this EHR and it powers you into little boxes which do not allow you sufficient genuine domain to get work done and it is impossible to track the solutions

A product with a really poor quality

Pros

It contains a lot of features which attract the users and it is also pretty affordable due to which a lot of people use it.

Cons

Although there are numerous features but none of them works efficiently. The support is horrendous and the staff has to perform tasks repeatedly to check the same information.

Great Software with multiple features

Pros

eClinical is an excellent software which allows us to use several features including medical practice for visit notes, billing and faxing purposes.

Cons

We cant find an easy process for the authorization. Excel spreadsheet have to be used for recording data. The way telephone notes are set up are mostly no good for office workflow.

Very practical and improves productivity

Pros

I have found eClinicalWorks to be a very practical IT platform that noticeably improves productivity and reduces the amount of manual work involved in running a clinic, hospital or other medical institute. For me it simplifies a wide range of tasks as from managing appointments and processing payments to handling billing, tracking compliance, issuing certificates and writing prescriptions quickly and efficiently. Because it's completely cloud-based, I value the powerful reporting capabilities that provide comprehensive, actionable information. The support team has consistently been helpful, offering fast and satisfactory assistance so overall I feel eClinicalWorks delivers more advantages than disadvantages and has become central to how we operate.

Cons

One issue I have is the cost as the price of this service can be a major limitation for users on a tight budget and I wish there were more flexible pricing options so eClinicalWorks could be accessible to many more practices. that kind of affordability would likely help the product expand since a lot of people would choose it for its strong performance. Another point I have noticed is that the software can feel confusing for beginners because the interface is broad and feature-rich and when I onboard new staff they often struggle to locate functions without guidance. I would really like to see clearer documentation, step-by-step guides or tutorial resources to help users understand and adopt the platform more easily.
