To keep track of certain aspects we utilize Excel spreadsheets lacking an easy method for monitoring the authorization process. The arrangement of telephone notes isn't conducive to the workflow of office staff but proves beneficial for doctors and record storage. Given the scarcity of HIPAA-compliant platforms we desire more collaboration tools and additional CRM features for office staff within eClinical. However it excels in medical features.

The introduction of new features often entails months of extensive interaction with tech support.

eClinicalWorks is packed with useful features, including physician scheduling and certification tools, automated insurance backup requests, remote patient order management, frequent software upgrades, separated documentation templates, a prescription transfer service, digital patient health tracking, simple two-step login for physician accounts, hospital budget accounting, real-time invoice organization, handwriting recognition for medication dosing and file uploads. All of this makes the software practical and impressive.

Cons

In my experience whenever I try to send messages through eClinicalWorks the system often fails to properly sync user profile links. Because of this, when I initiate a send action not all the needed notifications appear on the user's display as things like medication changes, hospital payment reminders, cancellation notices for medicine transfers, care-assessment updates about health progress or imports of documentation for on-call physicians can be missed. I also encounter access issues to patient history while using their main collaborative tools which makes reliable communication and record-sharing problematic.

This product lacks standout features; while basics are easy to learn task execution demands a multitude of clicks.

A multitude of drawbacks includes inefficient screen real-estate utilization excessive clicks for tasks a sluggish web version numerous minor bugs a subpar interface with document functionality cost pressures to acquire more services over-promising and under-delivering at various levels.

eClinicalWorks is my favorite EHR Software. My favorite feature is the search Patient feature. Documentation is super simple. Ease of use.

The progress notes are semi-prepopulated which leads to irrelevant information getting into the notes.
