“Steep Learning Curve with ECW”
Pros
ECW has positive elements including the creation of easily accessible treatment plan templates and the ability to copy forward the last clinical note.
Cons
Learning eClinicalWorks has proven challenging despite attending a two-day in-person seminar and engaging with training modules. Inputting information in certain areas automatically incorporates it into every note from every provider moving forward a significant drawback necessitating privacy workarounds.

“Clunky not integrated”
Pros
The flexibility to select and create templates coupled with helpful auto-populate features streamlines copying and pasting within charts saving valuable time.

“sClinical(DOES NOT)Works !!!”
Pros
none
Cons
I WROTE THE FOLLOWING REVIEW IN 2014, 2 YEARS AFTER IMPLEMENTING THIS SOFTWARE IN MY PRACTICE. NOW, THE PROBLEMS ARE SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE! THE LATEST UPDATE REMOVED A NUMBER OF FUNCTIONALITIES, WHICH WERE PART OF THE PROGRAM FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS, MAKING THE EMR EVEN MORE CUMBERSOME, COINER-INTUITIVE AND DIFFICULT TO USE.The worst software I have ever had a displeasure to use!!! I spend HOURS every week for the last two years with the so called tech support, who bounce the open tickets from one tech to the other, each one not knowing what the other had done. I spend hours, explaining the problem, only to have the open tickets closed by techs without resolution and my consent, or deleted from the portal all together. The first thing almost every tech support tells you that your problem can not be resolved, and will only attempt to do something about it when you demand escalation to supervisor. The program slowed down the office productivity by 30 % and I cannot wait to stop using it.

“Very behind on updates”
Pros
In fulfilling basic EHR functionalities such as storing patient data in a HIPAA-compliant manner eClinicalWorks effectively accomplishes the required tasks.
Cons
The development team lags significantly behind on updates and the software lacks the capability to open an interface for third-party integrations. They provided no timeline for implementation hindering progress for our client.

“Something in between”
Pros
This tool has been great in ways of adapting and changing according to the environment and all. It is ahead from many when it comes to adding new features and having a vision on multiplatform. It is a practical tool.
Cons
It definitely requires a lot of clicking to get something. Often has a lot of bugs as well. It does not have a patient portal where one can exchange files. Now, theyve finally started working on the usability of this tool.

“Great EHR”
Pros
eClinicalWorks is an incredible EMR if you’re searching for effortlessness without any ornaments. It is certainly simple to access from home and takes care of business. This product is amazingly useful when you need to access EMR records from home when charting needs to be done.
Cons
In some cases, the designing of eClinicalWorks is diverse on PCs that aren’t used in the medical network. Makes it hard to figure out some of its features.
