With about 16 years of experience using Eclipse software, I find it user-friendly and versatile, handling various practice aspects such as billing, scheduling, EMR, and reports effectively. However, customer service accessibility can be inconsistent, often requiring leaving a voicemail and experiencing variable wait times for callbacks. While Eclipse offers ease of use, it falls short in keeping pace with contemporary demands. Its lack of cloud accessibility and suboptimal SOAP note setup and generation highlight areas for improvement. Moreover, the limited customization options for patient statements and other printed materials detract from its overall appeal. Despite these drawbacks, I'm generally satisfied with Eclipse but wish for more frequent updates to align with healthcare and technological advancements.

Transitioning to Eclipse from previous accounting systems presented some difficulties during the training process due to differences in design.

“I'm VERY PLEASED with Eclipse's EHR
Pros
Since the transition to ICD-10 in October 1, 2015, I found myself sacrificing my lunch hours to complete morning notes using another EHR software, WritePad. Additionally, I often had to stay late into the evening to finish afternoon notes. However, this changed after adopting Encounter software. Now, even during the transition from our previous software, encountering frequent hurdles, contacting support always resulted in speaking with a live person and swift resolution of any issues.
Cons
Despite its complexities, the software offers accurate and fast note-taking capabilities, excellent support, and is bundled with Eclipse practice management software, making it a standout option in the market.
