“Best for dermatology”
Pros
As practicing aesthetic physicians doing the full round of topical procedures, EZDERM has been a daily workflow lifesaver; agree with the reviews here.
Cons
For anything outside of dermatology, I don't find it particularly special. If you're working in a different specialty, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

“Great for Derma Clinics”
Pros
As a skincare specialist and aesthetic physician, I explored nearly every EHR designed for small practices for my clinic. Most were either overpriced or did not align well with our dermatology treatments. Then, a sales representative from EZDERM, who is also a doctor, reached out to introduce the software. We decided to try it, and it has been amazing ever since , definitely sticking with it!
Cons
General practitioners may find the interface a bit challenging, as there aren't many customization options available for general medicine.

“Top-tier support team”
Pros
It continuously evolves with regular updates and upgrades. I appreciate that customer support is available during business hours through phone or email. Their Facebook page is also a great resource for updates, and I have noticed that support reps address concerns there promptly, even outside regular hours. It is refreshing to see that there does not seem to be a high staff turnover, as I often get to speak with the same support reps when I call. The website is consistently updated with the latest content and tutorials, which is very helpful. I find EZSchool particularly useful for training new employees and revisiting both new and old features.
Cons
Some functionality is limited to either ipad or desktop, the only way to avoid this is by purchasing Apple iMacs (this would be incredibly costly for outfitting a whole office). The majority of updates involve the EMR; the billing and PM platforms are often neglected. The training for clinical staff is well designed and executed. The training for billing and admin was not very thorough and disorganized.

“Unmatched quality!”
Pros
Unparalleled customer service. Timely, courteous, helpful. I have never worked with company, in any field, that is more devoted to ensuring the satisfaction of its customers. This is the Four Seasons meets EMR system. Very simple to use interface, allows for highly efficient clinic workflow. Company is founded and run by a dermatologist and it shows. The revenue cycle management is seamless and the billers have great expertise and are very organized. I never have any issues with them and when there are problems from the insurance companies, EZDerm is always ready and able to help. I honestly dont know why a dermatologist would want to use a different EMR system. I had one of the big ones in the past and it was clumsy, impersonal and inflexible. The customer service was atrocious... EMR meets big city DMV. Also, I love the idea of supporting an entrepreneurial physician rather than a giant VC backed corporation.
Cons
None really that come to mind.

It is constantly being upgraded with new features, has amazing flat-rate pricing that applies to everyone, and is cloud-based with a strong focus on privacy. It also makes documentation effortless, which is a huge plus.

“All-in-one solution”
Pros
I am new to electronic medical records and found the system easy to use and highly customizable. I was comfortable on the system within 1 week! From customizing a patient encounter, reviewing pathology reports and collaborating with colleagues this software system has you covered.
Cons
A simpler and more streamlined process for printing lab orders for patients would be really helpful. Other than that, I have no complaints!

“Gets the job done”
Pros
The PhotosEZ Derm app has been a game-changer for me. It allows me to access everything on the go, from anywhere, and it is so much better than relying on paper-based methods.
Cons
You have to open an encounter to send an Rx if not sending from the note (phone call/to do it) these encounters do not appear as OV but as encounters so you need to know where to find themTo fax another MD/provider an office note takes 6 steps 3 of which are repetitive The system is cumbersome as is customizing plans.

“User-friendly dermatology EMR”
Pros
EZDerm is incredibly dermatology-focused, making it a perfect fit for my practice. The support team is excellent and always responds quickly to any issues. I find the training videos on EZSchool extremely helpful for both existing staff and onboarding new hires. There is also a Facebook group where members can view questions and troubleshooting tips shared by dermatology practices from all over, which has been a great resource. I really appreciate the feature request option, which lets me suggest improvements to the EMR. Since I started using the system in 2017, I have seen significant enhancements that have made it much more user-friendly over time.
Cons
It can be a bit tricky for new hires without a dermatology background, especially for medical assistants. Some actions require multiple steps to complete. However, EZDerm support is actively working on making improvements to make the system more user-friendly.
