“too complicated and incomplete”
Pros
They presented it in a way that sounded really promising but the actual rollout and use of the software has been far from smooth.
Cons
The system is much too complicated. It really needs to be stripped down a lot and it's missing important features that would have made me think twice about switching if I had known earlier.

“useful overall and user-friendly”
Pros
Getting around the software is fairly simple overall even if it is not quite as simple as some other options.
Cons
One thing it is missing is patient photos so there is no visual reference for what the patient looks like and it also does not offer block scheduling.

“integrated scheduling and billing”
Pros
The functionality works really well and having scheduling, payments and billing all built into one system is a big plus.
Cons
Support has been pretty frustrating. There's no phone support at all and the only option is submitting tickets that seem to disappear. I've been leaving messages and sending support requests for nearly two months just trying to add another doctor to my system.

“Billing, scheduling and documentation win”
Pros
Built to handle medical billing really well, this software also helps maintain patient relationships and supports the profitability of the practice. Beyond certified billing, it provides a scheduling solution and takes care of documentation too.

“everything our practice needed”
Pros
After six years of using Genesis EHR in a busy chiropractic office, I can honestly say it changed the way we run our practice. We're a larger clinic handling mostly cash patients along with some PI cases and before switching, we had experience with several well-known EHR systems, both server-based and cloud-based. We sat through demos for nearly every option on the market but none of them offered the full set of features we were looking for until we came across Genesis. It covers everything we need to keep the office running efficiently, including treatment plan management, appointment scheduling, detailed reporting plus built-in systems and automation. Documentation is very quick and the cloud platform works really well with our Mac computers and iPads. Another big plus has been the support team, who have consistently been available whenever questions or concerns come up.
Cons
The system is not the most simple at first but the functionality and user interface keep getting better as they continue to improve it.

“Packed with useful features”
Pros
There are so many features of Genesis that we really like using at our office. One of the things I love is how well it connects the schedule and gives the doctor immediate access to notes. The scheduling is linked to our online system and Review Wave makes it quite easy for our patients to communicate with us. We also use their task bar to stay in touch within the office, which is great because its HIPAA-compliant. Plus, we can communicate directly with the Genesis team or billing to streamline any questions or concerns.
Cons
Genesis has a lot of features but we only use about 25 of them. One area thats been a bit tricky for us is the intake process as it is not the easiest for our patients to navigate and it often takes longer than we expected. Another issue is that the page transitions can be slow because multiple processes are happening at once. To help with this, we ended up upgrading our computers RAM to 16GB since the 8GB we had before just wasn't cutting it. That did help speed things up a bit.

“Connected scheduling and communication”
Pros
One thing our office really appreciates about Genesis is how many useful features it brings together in one system. The scheduling works well and the doctor can pull up notes right away which helps a lot during the day. It also connects nicely with our online scheduling and Review Wave making it much more convenient for patients to stay in touch and communicate clearly. On top of that, we're able to message each other inside the office through the task bar in a HIPAA-compliant way and we can also reach the Genesis team or billing department there which helps streamline questions and concerns.
Cons
It comes with a huge amount of functionality and honestly we probably only use about a quarter of what's included. The intake process has been one of the harder parts for us because patients seem to struggle with navigating it and getting through everything quickly. There are also a lot of processes happening at the same time so moving from one page to the next is not as fast as I'd like. We ended up upgrading our computers to 16GB of RAM because 8GB just wasn't enough to keep up.

“Fast charting and billing”
Pros
Genesis comes with plenty of features that help us handle documentation and billing both quickly and efficiently.
Cons
Because it's a web-based application some windows can take a while to load. That means we occasionally have to wait for information to appear before a patient can be treated.

“Compliant notes and real-time insights”
Pros
Starting out with a brand-new office, having note-taking that's simple has been a huge help. It gives me confidence that my notes are compliant and detailed the way I want them to be and I really appreciate being able to see the pulse of my practice in real time from a single diagram on the home screen.
Cons
If I had to point out one drawback, it would be that there are a lot of different ways to accomplish the same task which can feel a bit overwhelming at first. Still, it's something you adjust to over time.

“fantastic support and thoughtful design”
Pros
Right from the start, this company has impressed me with its team, delivery, customer support and training. The software has made my work much more efficient and I honestly feel it's worth twice the price for everything it delivers. It helps tremendously with clinical documentation, compliance and financial tracking and it does all of that exceptionally well.
Cons
Nothing comes to mind. This is easily the most thoughtfully designed software I've seen on the market.

“Costly billing disaster”
Pros
Creating SOAP notes worked well enough and was simple to do but that was the only part of the software I appreciated.
Cons
Billing was a mess.. confusing, packed with too many steps and extremely frustrating to deal with. Support was basically absent; we had to open a ticket for every issue and no one ever responded. The people in charge seemed completely out of touch and nobody was able to help with our billing needs. On top of that, the software was incredibly expensive. They pushed their in-house billing option but it cost nearly three times as much. After 22 years in practice, I have never been this upset over the amount of money wasted on software. Office Ally is far more affordable and honestly much better than this.

“custom reports and stellar support”
Pros
One of the biggest advantages of Genesis is how much flexibility it gives us with reporting. We can tailor reports to show the exact information we need instead of relying on generic, one-size-fits-all reports. Up to this point, we really haven't run into any major need that Genesis couldn't handle. On top of that, the customer service has been outstanding.. quick to respond, patient, helpful and clearly knowledgeable about every part of the software. It also helps that the team is genuinely friendly and enjoyable to work with.
Cons
Getting started took longer than we expected. Even though we're very comfortable with computers, the initial training felt confusing and harder to follow than it should have been. That said the training team was extremely patient and understanding and they took all the time needed to help us get fully up and running.

“All claims in one place”
Pros
Having every claim available in one section has been the biggest advantage. It makes it much simpler to review everything at once, catch any errors quickly and correct them before they become bigger issues.

“integrations that stand out !”
Pros
One thing we really appreciate about Genesis is how well it connects with third-party services like Review Wave and Cash Practice.
Cons
Since we've only been on the software for about a week, this could change over time but at the moment the biggest challenge is getting to a patient's Pertinent Clinical Reminders without having to open a note for that day and then discard it afterward.
