Built to fit the way our practice operates, with customizable dashboards, feeds and a billing workflow that's much more efficient. It also prevents people from skipping steps or just checking boxes without anyone noticing which adds a strong level of accountability and makes KPI tracking much better.
Cons
Parts of the setup can feel a bit intimidating at first especially for new users who don't have a programming or database background. That said the customer support team is outstanding and really stays committed to helping us get everything done the way we need.

Getting around the system is simple and the check-in calls have been really helpful.
Cons
Returning cash payments and correcting errors through the POS and transaction tab could be handled better. It would also be more efficient when working on claims.

Pros
It's a fully featured EHR that covers everything I need and then some. The system is user-friendly, data entry is fast and putting together a SOAP note takes very little time.
Cons
The biggest downside is the price. It's very expensive and there are other products available that handle many of the same tasks for a lower cost.

Cons
Because there are so many features and so much variety in what it offers, navigating Genesis can feel a bit overwhelming at times.

More than anything, it's the people at Genesis who have made the biggest difference for us. They genuinely love the software and really know how to teach it well. Every person we've worked with has been outstanding.. patient, friendly and incredibly helpful to both us and our office staff.
Cons
Compared to our old system which felt completely outdated, Genesis has been a huge step forward. We're still working through the transition one day at a time but honestly, there's nothing about the actual Genesis software that we can point to as a negative. We have no complaints at all and feel absolutely happy with our decision to switch to Genesis.

There's a lot of flexibility in the forms and workflows throughout the software which makes it possible to tailor different parts of the system to fit how we operate.
Cons
The SOAP notes feel bulky in both the old and new versions. The newer version also offers far fewer customization options so we've stuck with the older one but it doesn't come with built-in macros which means everything has to be created from scratch.

Pros
Coming from someone who isn't a fan of EHR systems or dealing with insurance, this has been a huge surprise. Just one month in, we've seen insurance collections rise by nearly 300% and I can finally relax knowing our notes are audit-proof. The real-time billing checks especially around modifiers and diagnosis requirements, are incredibly valuable. On top of that, setting up macros for different patient types and their diagnoses is extremely helpful. In many cases soAP notes for an exam are finished in under three minutes.
Cons
Honestly there isn't much to complain about because they seem to have covered almost everything. The font on the screens is on the smaller side but with how much the system needs to handle in today's highly regulated healthcare documentation environment, that feels understandable. Their thorough ongoing training and regular use have done a lot to offset that issue.

After spending two years practicing under other doctors and working with their software and systems, switching to Genesis on my own has made me genuinely appreciative of what they provide. Their team is reliable, supportive and consistently willing to work around your schedule and pace even if it takes time for you to fully understand the program. They tailor the system to match exactly what you need and if something is not available yet, they make the effort to find a solution.

“macros and workbench are invaluable”
Pros
Setting up and using helpful macros for everyday visits, exams and special office appointments has been a big plus. Getting immediate feedback when a claim is created is really useful and the workbench setup for me and the rest of the team has been incredibly valuable. It has noticeably improved transparency and accountability across the office.
Cons
One thing that would really help is being able to create a billing rule for non-covered services like cold laser. If a cold laser claim goes through to Blue Cross, it triggers a records request and adds more work for our staff. Our multidisciplinary schedule also includes different treatment types with different providers and every area a patient is scheduled into ends up generating a separate office visit. That makes it hard for providers to know which one they should work from and it leads to extra steps, duplicate billing and confusion.

After getting familiar with the system, it's amazing how much of the thinking it handles for you. It keeps processes organized and patient information organized so no matter where we are in the office, everything we need is right at our fingertips. The team has also been incredibly helpful, an excellent teacher and honestly we wouldn't be where we are in our practice without her.
Cons
A few reports could be adjusted more to match how I'd personally prefer to use them but I understand that programmers have to prioritize requests and mine may not always be at the top of the list. When they're supporting several businesses, it makes sense that one person's change can take time. That said they are always willing to listen to client feedback and if it's something they can do, they absolutely try to make it happen.

Everyone has been incredibly helpful and supportive which has made the transition feel as smooth as possible. The latest update has been really useful especially with the total number of visits now showing along with more detailed information. The dirty dozen feature is also outstanding and has been a remarkable tool for educating patients.

Running a busy, fast-paced practice is a lot more manageable with this platform because it's quick, efficient and very simple to use. From scheduling and rescheduling appointments to documenting why a patient missed a visit, everything flows well. One thing I really appreciate is being able to drill into each individual claim and clearly see what the billing team has done. If something needs attention, I can reply right on the claim or open a ticket without any hassle and responses come back promptly. It also connects really well with a variety of apps for credit card processing, recurring monthly payments, automatic appointment reminders and more. The fact that it's cloud-based is another big plus since I can sign in from anywhere at any time to work on treatment notes or check stats.
Cons
Honestly I don't have any major complaints. The system is user-friendly and works very well with other integrations.

Being cloud-based makes it really convenient to use and the scheduling setup is simple to understand. It syncs well with SKED soAP notes are simple to put together and it can store a huge amount of patient information without any trouble.
Cons
The task-based communication is really frustrating. It would honestly be better handled almost any other way because the task tab is confusing especially for people who do not want to spend time figuring out how it works. Regular email communication would make much more sense and having direct access to someone through a live chat with an available person would be a huge improvement.
