“thorough tracking boosts collections”
Pros
From the moment a patient arrives all the way through collections, the software does a very thorough job of documenting each step in the process. Being able to clearly follow that path has helped increase collections because issues can be caught and fixed before it becomes too late to correct them.
Cons
I've been in discussions with the customer care rep and she has been very pleasant to work with. The software also keeps improving over time.

“Best billing and scheduling”
Pros
After going through four different systems, this is still the best one we've used. The billing and scheduling features work especially well for us.
Cons
It does feel somewhat outdated at times. For example, if you click on one thing and then change your mind and select something else, it may take you to a different page while still leaving the previous box open so you have to go back and unclick it. That part feels a bit archaic.

Pros
From day one, I've loved what this product can do. The training team was outstanding during implementation and they've kept that same level of commitment by continuing to help us get the most value possible from the system. I've been using Genesis for almost a year now and their billing team has already helped me tighten up billing, improve collections and take a huge load off my staff's to-do list. I'm genuinely thrilled with the results.
Cons
At first, the cost was the hardest part for me to accept. When I saw what the software would cost each month, I honestly didn't think I'd be able to keep up with the payments. Now that we've been using it though, it has actually saved me money and helped increase our collections so I'm very happy with the return. The one major area I'd still like to see improved is the patient intake forms. Patients do have a nice online portal to complete them but it isn't mobile-friendly and that creates challenges for many of my new patients.

Pros
One thing I really appreciate is that insurance and billing are taken care of. All of the EOB information gets entered so I do not need to bring on another staff member just to manage that. It is also a big plus that the system connects with services like Fortis, PostureScreen and Review Wave.
Cons
The visual design of the software is not very appealing. When working in the EHR, creating a note feels more tedious than it should. I would also really like to see a model spine or anatomy body that I could click on to show exactly what was done with a patient from that point forward.

“smooth scheduling and billing”
Pros
Scheduling is very simple to use and the built-in billing keeps every account up to date with each patient visit. Bringing in tools like Cash Practice, Review Wave and Target Coding helps the whole platform work together really well.
Cons
There are quite a few features that our practice doesn't use or really need and I'm sure there are also some functions available that we could benefit from but don't even realize are there. It would be nice if some of those features were trimmed down or better organized but overall there are no major complaints.

“fantastic for clinic management”
Pros
Running the clinic is much more manageable with this system. It handles everything from scheduling to keeping patients on track with their regular visits and special appointments and one of the biggest benefits is billing the small amount of insurance I accept. Because of the support team behind it, we're also collecting more than before.
Cons
honestly there are so many features that I probably use only about 1% of them and I don't really need to explore most of the rest. I was also a much bigger fan of the older EHR SOAP note setup with the preloaded macros and I don't care for the newer SOAP note creation software.

Pros
Getting started with this system was very manageable even though I stepped in to handle implementation and billing with very little background in the field. It helped our office go from dealing with hundreds of rejected claims each month to only a small handful. The customer support team has been outstanding and consistently works through any issue that comes up. Authorization tracking is very user friendly and the alert feature has been really helpful.
Cons
There really are not many downsides for me. My only wish is that when the Adobe incident happened, we had received an email ahead of time letting us know it was coming.

Pros
One of the best parts of Genesis Chiropractic is the customer service. Their team is consistently quick to respond and very punctual whenever we need help. The software has also made our daily workflow much more efficient for both the staff and the doctors. We especially rely on the task system for internal team communication and for staying connected with billing. The check-in notifications are another feature I really appreciate because they help us keep track of exactly what each patient needs. With this software, we're able to provide more personalized care, complete team tasks more quickly and stay organized with our responsibilities.
Cons
Only real difficulty for us was the lengthy onboarding process. At the same time, that training is valuable because it helps you become fully comfortable using the software but it does require a significant time commitment at the beginning.

There are regular improvements across the whole system, from SOAP notes to patient management which has been really nice to see. Whenever something comes up, customer service is usually on the phone with me the same day and always within 24 hours.
Cons
The patient accounting area could still use some improvement. It gets the job done but we've used other systems that feel a bit more advanced in that part.

The connection with appointment scheduling, credit card processing and Google review tools worked flawlessly which made the setup feel very smooth.
Cons
There is definitely a learning curve so it takes patience and consistent small steps each day to really get comfortable with the software. But once you get the hang of it, it becomes very user-friendly and you start to appreciate how much it includes. It really feels like one of the most complete software packages available.

Genesis comes with a huge number of features. It felt a bit overwhelming at the beginning but once I became familiar with the system, it was much easier to use and fit into my workflow. Since using it, I've seen more patient reactivations, stronger commitment from patients, better communication with staff and improved collections.
Cons
There are also a lot of reports and it can be difficult to sort through all of them to find the ones I actually want to use. Even after training, I still know there are parts of the system I could learn more about.

Running a clinic is much more convenient with this cloud-based software because I can access and manage everything from anywhere. The built-in insurance billing and claims management works exceptionally well and the Genesis team keeps releasing updates and improvements that make the software even better.

“loving the supernote workflow”

After switching to the Supernote style of SOAP notes, we've been really happy with how the medical records look when we print them for patients or send them out with referrals. The patient portal has also been a big plus because it captures information well and moves everything directly into the SOAP note. The credit card processor integration works smoothly and the scheduling layout has been excellent for our office.
Cons
Any time I need to adjust a claim after a payment has already been posted, it turns into a nightmare.

Pros
Using this has made documentation much more simple especially with the compliance features built in. I can create high-quality patient records very quickly and uploading x-rays is simple when I need to review them with a patient. It has also helped me increase my volume more consistently, whereas before I felt like I had hit a plateau.
Cons
A few of the reports could be simplified although I really appreciate the customization options.

One of my favorite parts of this software is the color-coded blocks for different patient appointments which make the schedule much easier to follow. It's simple to use and I also appreciate being able to add pop-ups when a patient checks in. The amount of detail you can include on a travel card is really helpful and it's a big plus that multiple people in the office can access the software from different computers.
Cons
I really believe Genesis will continue updating and improving the software whenever needed. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

Cons

Having their billing team in place has noticeably improved my collections compared with when I handled everything in-house on my own. The support team and staff are also really pleasant to work with and do their best to help whenever needed.
Cons
Charting notes can take several clicks which tends to slow things down when I'm working alone in the office. I'd also like to see more built-in features instead of so many add-ons that come with extra third-party fees and most reports don't update live so you usually have to wait until the next day to see refreshed numbers.

Customer service has been excellent and the note-taking and billing features make daily tasks really simple.
Cons
A thing that's missing is a quick internal messaging system for communicating with staff in the clinic. I also wish the full EOB link connected to a payment was easier to locate and my verification tab hardly ever works either.
