“well-connected!!”
Pros
One thing that really works well is how customizable it is so it can be set up to match the way your practice operates. It also connects with a wide range of programs which helps create a dependable and organized file without extra hassle. I also appreciate that they support respected organizations in the industry and profession which is not something you see with every company. On top of that, the speed for completing routine notes is pretty decent.
Cons
biggest downside is the price. From what I know, it is the most expensive EHR software I have run into.

“all-in-one practice management”
Pros
It covers just about everything needed to run a practice.. handling schedules, tracking visits, storing patient records and managing billing all in one place. On top of that, it integrates smoothly with other software which makes the whole system even more convenient to use.
Cons
One thing I'd still love to see is a dedicated tab in each patient account for setting up notes and follow-up dates especially if those could appear on daily reports we generate.

“Responsive support and better allocations”
Pros
Whenever I need help, I can quickly create a task and get answers from the Genesis customer service team without waiting long. They're very prompt when it comes to addressing questions or concerns which has been really helpful.
Cons
Allocations have honestly been the most frustrating part for me. The old Allocation setup before the update was confusing and not very user-friendly at all. The newer Allocation method is a big improvement though especially since it lets you earmark collected payments for a specific date of service. That has been very useful for keeping patient files accurate.

“Customer service stood out”
Pros
Whenever I ran into issues, the customer service team was very willing to help and made sure everything got resolved. They also showed me a lot of features I hadn't known about before which ended up being really useful.
Cons
My only complaint is that some features were not very simple to find on my own although I'm sure that could be improved with a bit of training.

“all-in-one for busy clinics”
Pros
Having everything in one place is a big plus with Genesis. It handles office notes, billing and scheduling so we don't have to jump between different systems. The notes are fast to complete which really helps when you're seeing a high volume of patients. I also get a lot of value from the scheduling filters since they make it easier to run different patient reports and keep track of patient stats.
Cons
One limitation we ran into was with patient scheduling since Genesis didn't let us set it up exactly the way we wanted.

“Feature-packed chiropractic system”
Pros
It covers just about everything a chiropractic office is likely to need. Setting up and managing the schedule is simple and the billing side is fairly simple as well.
Cons
At the same time, a lot of the software feels like using an old late-90s Microsoft platform. There are simply too many functions and it's starting to feel like ChiroTouch in the sense that it's so powerful it ends up getting in its own way. We ran into plenty of options we never used or honestly didn't even know how to use. I definitely wouldn't describe it as organized. It takes a lot of training before you can really become competent with it. And, again similar to ChiroTouch, there are quite a few add-on costs. Unfortunately some of those add-ons are exactly why you'd consider switching in the first place so expect to pay more than you originally think.

“worth every penny”
Pros
Right from the training, they do an excellent job of walking you through the system and making sure you understand how everything works. The billing team has been saving me a huge amount of time and it has absolutely been worth every penny.
Cons
The training does require a pretty big time commitment and it takes some time experimenting with the system before you really get comfortable using it.

“Clean billing and clear scheduling”
Pros
Getting started with Genesis Chiropractic was quick and using it day to day has been very simple. The accounting is accurate, the scheduling layout is clear and the billing is clean and simple. Their customer service has also been informative and genuinely helpful whenever needed.
Cons
The only part that took longer than expected was getting everything set up with our clearinghouse. That said once it was completed, everything has worked flawlessly.

“all-in-one tools for the clinic”
Pros
Having everything in one place is a big plus. The software gives quick access to a wide range of tools, from billing and EHR to scheduling and other features that really help chiropractic assistants, massage therapists and chiropractors get through the day more efficiently.
Cons
One thing that bothers me is the lack of tutorials covering every part of the software. Since the program is pretty unique, there also are not many Google results, walkthroughs or helpful guides available when you need extra support.

“customizable and very helpful”
Pros
The software can be customized to fit the way you work which makes it much more convenient to use. Whenever questions come up, the help button is also really useful.
Cons
At times, the software freezes and we have to close out the entire webpage which can cause us to lose information that was already entered if it wasn't saved.

“Frustrating billing gaps”
Pros
The customization options for notations and macros are easily among the strongest parts of the software. Since it's cloud-based, there's no local server to deal with and that makes it really convenient to update or access records from home, schedule patients while at an event and handle things without being tied to the office. The Tasks feature is also very helpful for communication between staff members and with Genesis, as long as everyone actually understands how to use it properly.
Cons
The biggest ongoing problem was with care plans not writing off discounted visits correctly so I was constantly auditing ledgers and manually fixing write-offs for prepaid cash care plans. Eventually, I gave up on the automated setup altogether and just let Genesis bill visits at the full retail rate, then had my staff manually adjust the discounted visits afterward. Notifications were also unreliable, whether because they were buggy or because the training around them wasn't clear enough. Staff would set reminders for a certain date or visit number and the alert would either show up too early or keep appearing even after it had supposedly been cleared. Patients eventually stopped paying attention when they were told to check with the front desk at check-in because they assumed the message was outdated. Organizing x-ray images for fast access during visits also wasn't initially available and even after an update was released to improve it, the process still felt like more effort than it was worth. On top of that, support started out very strong for the first four or five months, then dropped off quickly. Calls often weren't returned, direct billing questions were ignored and when I did get responses, they usually weren't very clear or useful. I'm not sure whether staffing changes caused that shift but I eventually stopped reaching out because getting help no longer felt worthwhile.

“helpful scheduling”
Pros
Keeping the schedule organized is simple and user friendly. It's also quick to spot when patients miss appointments. When support is needed, sending tasks to the Genesis team is simple and they are available to explain things or walk you through a process.
Cons
Entering doctor SOAP notes takes a lot of time unless you pay a significant amount for a setup that someone else has already designed. The Billing Team is also costly and while they explain how much they will handle for you, they are paid based on what actually gets billed so they have not seemed very motivated to solve problems for our office. We've ended up spending hours on the phone with insurance companies ourselves to get detailed answers and fix issues. On top of that, when the Billing Team makes a mistake, they shift the blame to the user, meaning the doctor's office. Finding and printing reports is not very user friendly either.

“Custom fit with awesome reports”
Pros
Right away, the software felt tailored to the way our practice works. It's very user-friendly and customizable and it keeps track of everything from billing and collections to missed patient visits without letting anything slip through the cracks. The reporting is fantastic and all the tools and information we need are only a click away.
Cons
My only real complaint is that every bit of communication with the company has to go through a support ticket. I understand why they handle it that way since it keeps everything documented but there are times when it would be nice to simply pick up the phone and talk to someone. :)

“flexible scheduling and useful reports”
Pros
The scheduling setup can be tailored entirely around the specific needs of the practice which is a big plus. It also makes it simple to keep track of patient appointments using the different reports available.
Cons
The task feature feels a bit buggy and heavier than it should be to work with. I'd also really like to see integration with text and email services added.

“Weak support”
Pros
Scheduling is very simple which has been a big plus. The system is pretty basic so just about anyone can pick it up fast without needing much training. The pin map settings have also been especially useful for our practice.
Cons
Customer support has been really disappointing. Whenever I set up a call, I end up speaking with someone who can't actually answer my questions. Because of that, it feels like we're not able to use the software as efficiently as we could since I can never seem to reach anyone who truly understands the system and how to use it to its full potential.

“Features with depth”
Pros
Genesis comes with a huge range of features, customization options and report-building capabilities which is a big advantage. At the same time, that depth can also be a downside because it can feel like too much and it's not very simple. I'd compare it to a Windows PC or Android device.. you can do a lot with it but it really helps if you have a strong knowledge base and know how to work with the system. It's not like a Mac or Apple product where you can just open it and start using it without needing much technical know-how to get the full benefit.
Cons
One challenge is the sheer amount of customization available. Even after more than two years of using it, I still come across tools I didn't realize were there. Maybe some of them were always available and I just never noticed but it really shows the need for a complete manual. Having better documentation for setup, training new employees and customizing the system for a growing or changing practice would make a big difference especially so we wouldn't have to keep submitting support tickets.

“Better claim payouts”
Pros
One feature that's been really useful in the software is the option for the team at Genesis to monitor insurance claim issues and correct them which helps claims get paid more consistently.
Cons
The biggest frustration is the Task system. It's supposed to let you send a task to the right person for help but there aren't any selectable options. You have to already know who to send it to or just guess and hope it reaches the right person.

“helpful features but confusing navigation”
Pros
One thing that has worked really well is how quickly I can take notes and the insurance tracking is also really solid. Since it's cloud-based and everything runs from a single browser tab, it keeps things pretty convenient. Customer service has also been a strong point whenever help is needed.
Cons
On the downside, it doesn't perform well on an iPad and there are no built-in macros already set up. It's also more expensive than ChiroTouch. The training provided for the software is weak and tasks you don't do regularly can become very confusing. On top of that, locating things like reports or certain settings is extremely difficult.

“Customizable clinic workflow”
Pros
Getting this set up for our clinic was very simple. The integrations work well, the layout can be customized a lot to fit how the clinic operates and having insurance billing built in is a big plus. On top of that, the team behind the product has been wonderful to work with.
Cons
My only real complaint is that the 8% billing fee feels a bit too high. ;)
