Difficult System - Antiquated Interface
Difficult System - Antiquated Interface
Pros
I find it to be a comprehensive system suitable for clinical input management and billing.
Cons
Dealing with customer support is incredibly tough. The user interface feels outdated and buggy and theres frequent downtime. The system is complex and changes are slow. Its not easy for clinicians to use navigating reports is a challenge and lag times are excessive. Their reporting features for MIPS are also very expensive. Integration with other systems is problematic and until last year it only worked well on Internet Explorer.

Caretracker in Windows 10 has issues
Caretracker in Windows 10 has issues
Pros
Once properly configured after extensive research to address touch screen issues it becomes easy to use especially on all-in-one touchscreen desktops.
Cons
I encountered issues with using Internet Explorer and Windows 10 where functions like Pinch-to-zoom and double-tap-to-zoom interfered with the applications usability. I had to figure out how to disable them which was a challenge due to changes in Windows versions. Eventually I found a solution by embedding a .css file with the necessary commands into the Accessibility settings of Internet Options. After that the software worked well without accidental zooming.

Very functional product for the healthcare office
Pros
Staff find it easy to learn the program within hours they can navigate through it with minimal training.
Cons
The window for managing provider schedules could be improved. Using colors for different types of appointments such as pre-op or new patients would help schedulers avoid overbooking and improve the flow of the day.

Pros
I havent found anything exceptional about this software or the services provided. Their scheduling module is on par with others in the industry.
Cons
Customer support is abysmal. It took an excessively long time to receive pricing information and clarification on software capabilities. Delays in obtaining support especially through intermediaries like McKesson are extreme.

Frustration at best ..,
Pros
The clinical workflow is straightforward and documenting correspondence is quick and easy.
Cons
The system frequently experiences downtime which is problematic when seeing numerous patients. New medication entries appear in retrospective notes making it difficult to track changes. Although the medication history option initially helped it now frequently generates error messages. The prescription software is not user-friendly and often sends prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy resulting in numerous patient calls. Additionally auto-signature issues occur particularly with controlled substances. Overall its not suitable for a psychiatric practice and seems more tailored to medical practices.

Practice Management and EMR Review
Practice Management and EMR Review
Pros
Since 2009 weve been using Harris CareTracker (formerly known as Optum PM & Physician EMR) for our billing RCM software and PM and EMR software for our clients. It has significantly boosted our collections and reduced front-end denials to below 1%. Its ease of use for both staff and clients surpasses other software options weve researched.
Cons
I hope for faster turnaround times in building interfaces with other EMR software for clients who wish to keep their current systems and integrate with our PM system for billing. While there have been some recent improvements we anticipate faster progress in the future.
