Smooth for confirming appointments

Pros

Confirming appointments is smooth and standout features let you send broadcast messages, talk about a patient within the team and hand the chat off to a colleague.

Cons

Some glitches crop up, you're unable to delete certain messages and you also can't add some numbers to patient lists even when they're cell phone numbers instead of landlines.

Simplifies my coordinator work

Pros

As a Patient Coordinator, It simplifies helping patients book or change appointments, speeds up check-ins by collecting insurance cards and IDs in advance and lets us notify patients about schedule updates through broadcast messages.

Cons

Right now, there aren't any gripes with it.

Awful and terrible support

Pros

Nothing good, it's awful and the support makes it even worse.

Cons

Klara's customer support is awful. Everything has to be done online, with no option to talk to a real person and when you finally reach someone they often don't know how to help.

Contact patients without the phone

Pros

I love being able to contact patients without picking up the phone is handy. It lets you respond more flexibly.

Cons

There's no search tool or a 'view last closed' option. That makes it hard to go back when needed and find the patient you want.

Useful features, awkward navigation

Pros

It predicts the patient when I type their name before I hit enter and the video/audio quality is generally good. I can drag and drop items into a message. Sending several invites at once and seeing on the home page who has joined or not is really useful.

Cons

Navigation is awkward , you have to back all the way out of one patient before finding another which is cumbersome. It should also remember my AirPods so I don't have to select them every time I start a call. I'd like to preview an attachment in a template before sending and there should be a way to nudge patients who haven't read an invite.

Super easy and feels safe

Pros

Super easy to use and feels safe even our senior patients are comfortable with it and can contact staff and clinicians fast.

Cons

Right now, we have to import all patient phone numbers before we can even start messaging, which blocks us from getting started right away. A feature that would make a huge difference is push notifications for conversations that are specifically for me. That way, I wouldn't have to constantly open the app to check if someone has replied.

This is a game-changer for reaching patients who don't always answer their phone. It's so easy to just send a message instead.

perfect for team and patient chats

Pros

Lets me contact teammates without leaving my desk. Keeps conversations private and lets us respond quickly for patient care. I'm able to reach patients and reply anytime, 24/7. I love that it shows when patients got and opened our messages so we know they've seen the info.

Cons

Its totally my fault. I accidentally sent a note meant for a colleague to the patient because I didn't double-check the recipient. Whoops, haha

Klara has totally streamlined our internal communications, has let us text patients without building a separate portal and even transcribes voicemails into readable text!

Cons

The AI learning in Klara will at times assign messages to the wrong person but that's something that definitely improves with use over time.

Cuts patient wait time

Pros

I like being able to message our patients has cut the time they spend waiting on calls, since they now have choices like leaving a voicemail, booking appointments online, uploading their records and other options.

Cons

Up to now, from my experience using it as the staff member in our practice who deals with it the most, there really isn't anything about the system I dislike.
