Luna Recovery
Pros

Having both financial and clinical components in one place is a major advantage.

Cons

I found that some of the reporting features and the CRM could be improved.

Lightning Step EMR is great!!
Pros

Its user-friendly with plenty of helpful features. Their customer support is also outstanding!

Cons

If I had to point out a drawback it would be the mobile app which I wish were better.

Best EMR for SUD/MH
Pros

Its incredibly user-friendly making it easy for new hires to pick up. The support staff are the most knowledgeable and responsive EMR staff Ive ever encountered.

Cons

Overall I dont have many complaints. Like all EMRs Lightning Step experiences glitches occasionally but they are usually resolved quicklyoften within 30 minutes.

No EMR is perfect, but LS does ALOT of things right!
Pros

The AR Aging dashboard has really helped our collection efforts. Our billing team now has everything they need in one place saving us from having to chase people down for answers.

Cons

In my experience the client invoicing module could use improvement. It works well for facilities with smaller census numbers but becomes cumbersome for larger operations. Nevertheless it meets compliance standards for our industry.

Gets the job done
Pros

Once you get the hang of it the system does everything you need. It takes a bit of time to learn how to navigate but its efficient and gets the job done. Id use it again without any issues although its not my first choice.

Cons

My experience with Lightning Steps was that it was glitchy and lacked sufficient security features.

Finally found a solution
Pros

Lightning Step stands out from our previous EHR system and others we considered. Its designed to streamline documentation and QA processes. For instance it notifies users about unsigned documents or overdue Treatment Plan Reviews. Supervisors can easily review departmental documentation adherence in one dashboard view. Plus its documentation customization options surpass those of other programs we looked at. Another advantage is its integrated e-prescribing system which doesnt use Dr. Firstan aspect appreciated by our organization and providers. This integration has halved our prescription time. Cost-wise they offer a per-user option instead of an average client census fee setting them apart from many others. Also their robust reporting system can automate custom reports reducing manual efforts for compliance and reviewing practice KPIs.

Cons

The mobile functionality is somewhat limited similar to most systems weve evaluated. However since it doesnt affect our ease of use it wasnt a significant factor for us. Nonetheless it might be worth considering for other practice setups.

A beautiful integration of CRM, EMR, and RCM!
Pros

The software integrates CRM, EMR, and RCM systems and eliminates the cross-communication pain points associated with using various platforms. All of this brings together the foundations needed to run and expand a successful facility in todays world.

Cons

In terms of cons, I can say what bothers me most is how the system sometimes lags. You cant work smoothly with multiple tabs open; sometimes the system shuts down entirely.
