Pros
Initially, it might seem simple, but over time, I've encountered numerous flaws in the software that require frequent manual corrections.
Cons
I find entering payments challenging on a daily basis with this software, especially when it miscalculates. When we submit a claim, there's often a discrepancy between what we expect from insurance and the software's calculation. While this is common, correcting it is quite difficult with this program; it takes persistence to get it right.

Pros
The customer service and quick response times from both are exceptional. They're available even during non-business hours to address inquiries. They seem to understand intuitively what I need the software to do, guiding me effortlessly to the right features. They offer valuable tools that save me from having to train new employees extensively on the software. I'm grateful!
Cons
Clicking on a patient's name in the various reports instantly takes me to their chart, which is convenient. However, some reports could be more streamlined.

The audit trail in Maxident helps me monitor staff activities. It tracks changes made to information such as appointment bookings, showing me who made the changes and when. This feature is invaluable; it ensures accountability and if I have questions, I know whom to approach for details.
Cons
I find it inconvenient that mandatory reports are printed when closing the day.

The initial setup is free, with subsequent fees for maintenance and add-ons. The customer service is excellent; they had my second server up and running in just a few hours. The software integrates charting, X-rays, and is packed with features.
Cons
The ledger is not as user-friendly as other dental systems. Setting up digital charting and x-ray imaging incurs a one-time fee.

It's easy to seek assistance! Whether by email (with quick responses) or by phone (they're prompt in getting back to us).
Cons
Having used this software for over 10 years, I find Maxident, Maxiviewer, and Maxi Chart have their challenges. Charting, especially, varies among dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants.

I'm very familiar with it. I appreciate the prescription pad's capabilities and the accessibility of chart notes.
Cons
Maxident is not compatible with Mac, and its perio charting is slow and awkward. The abbreviations on the perio chart aren't customizable, which is frustrating.

I love how easy it is to use, and the flexibility in charting and billing, including advanced features like super codes and perio dictation for probe depths, gingival levels, bleeding, and more.
Cons
I wish I could add terms to the charting, but I'm unsure if that's possible or if I'm just unaware of how to do it.
