Colorful chart-style workflow

Pros

A big plus is how colorful the program is because it makes things much easier to locate. The tabs are laid out a lot like a paper chart which feels simple. Hospice is already complex enough so it really helps to have software that isn't difficult to work with.

Cons

There are still a lot of steps involved when changing a patient to admitted.

checkboxes speed up charting

Pros

There are plenty of checkboxes so I can quickly mark things off instead of typing everything out.

Cons

Each note still has too many sections to go through and I end up revisiting the same areas over and over.

smooth ehr integration

Pros

Our therapy providers genuinely enjoy working with this product and the integration with our EHR has been completely smooth.

Cons

The biggest downside is the number of marketing emails they send every week. If more attention went into improving the system instead of marketing, I'd rate it even higher.

Solid charting with customization

Pros

Once you've spent a little time with it the system is fairly simple to navigate. There's a large library of preset wording available and you can also add your own custom documentation when needed.

Cons

I've used Net Health at several different facilities and no two setups were alike with each building having different features and options. There are also two different ways to enter daily billing which can be confusing. On top of that, the iPods are much too small to handle documentation comfortably.

configurable features

Pros

Assigning appointments to therapy staff across multiple disciplines works really well and being able to use it on mobile devices like iPads makes it even more convenient.

Cons

One challenge is that new users can feel overwhelmed by the large number of prebuilt phrases in the dropdowns and text boxes so it takes some time to learn how to use the system efficiently.

Documentation and productivity boost

Pros

Getting around the system is simple and it really helps me stay on track with my documentation. It also calculates productivity and keeps goals visible and accessible which makes day-to-day work much more organized.

Cons

Nothing negative really stands out to me. My only wish is that they offered a home health version because the one my company uses for that is extremely time-consuming and difficult.

free texting and useful tools

Pros

Having free texting available along with the built-in components has been really helpful.

Cons

A frustrating limitation is that I can't document under the manual treatment code and have to enter it in a different field instead.

Top support

Pros

From day one Net Health has been excellent to work with. The system is very user-friendly and the wide range of reports is incredibly helpful for our day-to-day operations. It also makes documentation much more manageable. Customer service has been outstanding as well. If the first person doesn't have the answer, they make sure to connect you with someone who does and the wait time is usually very short. They also stay current with changes and consistently provide training and education for users.

Cons

I would change how CPT codes appear in the notes section. I wish only the codes that are actually billed would show up there without needing to pay for an "upgrade" to access that feature. As it is now it can be confusing at times and has occasionally caused documentation errors.

Powerful reports and scheduling

Pros

There are plenty of features and available options built into it. The reporting tools are especially helpful, the hot list items come in handy and the scheduling section is simple to use.

Cons

At times navigation can be a bit tricky and certain items are harder to locate because of how they're named. It would also be better with more hot list items available for Part B assessments.

fantastic support and reporting

Pros

Navigation is efficient and simple which makes it simple to train therapists who haven't used the software before. Customer support has been fantastic as well. It's usually quick to reach a live person and they've consistently resolved our issues without wasting time. The wide range of reports also gives management excellent tracking data.

Cons

Nothing really comes to mind. It has consistently worked efficiently and the faster loading times over the years have only made the software better.

Top-notch documentation and support

Pros

Net Health has an excellent, state-of-the-art documentation system that's very user-friendly. Their customer service has been outstanding and they stay completely current with therapy changes while also keeping customers informed through webinars and other educational resources.

Cons

Honestly it covers everything we need and I haven't noticed any downsides.

medical necessity features with gaps

Pros

Documenting medical necessity is well supported by the added features and it's simple to go back and review previous records when needed. It also does a good job of helping capture the complexity of an evaluation.

Cons

At the same time it requires documenting extra information that doesn't always feel relevant and the documentation support is lacking when it comes to advanced skeletal deficits and wheelchair needs.

improving mobile app

Pros

Overall the application has been reliable and doesn't require much support or troubleshooting. They've also made a lot of progress with the mobile version which looks like it could eventually replace the locally installed product.

Cons

The user and role setup screens since they can be confusing at times. Update notifications with less than 48 hours' notice are also inconvenient especially when the system is deployed on a server.

Quick to learn and helpful reminders

Pros

Getting started with it has been very simple. Every new clinician on my team mentions how quickly they can learn the system which says a lot. The updates and reminders are also really helpful for keeping track of what needs to be done and when it's due.

Cons

something that gives new clinicians trouble is building goals. They can put the goal together but if they click the wrong button, it disappears which makes that part frustrating.

Slow workflow

Pros

The color-coded tabs are really helpful when explaining to employees in the field how to navigate to certain notes and follow the right steps.

Cons

There are times when the system slows down or pauses and that becomes frustrating for employees in the field when they're trying to enter their notes.

good note tracking but repetitive

Pros

Having continuity of notes across different users is really helpful. It also makes it simple to go back and review a patient's progress over time. Another plus is that the system won't let evaluations be signed off if required sections are missing which helps prevent incomplete documentation.

Cons

Some of the wording feels repetitive between sections and that can get frustrating after a while. Also, if minutes are billed under one code but documented under a different one, the system doesn't give any warning or alert.

Easy remote charting

Pros

It works remotely when access is provided. Everything needed to build a note is already there and there's also room to customize your responses when needed.

Cons

I really haven't run into any problems with it as long as the internet connection is reliable. It's a very user-friendly tool and has worked well for me.

Decent tool

Pros

Getting around Net Health is simple and the system is generally simple to use. It includes the features needed to get the job done without much trouble in the program.

Cons

Updates can take quite a while to load. The email section also frequently needs several tries before it opens and it doesn't include a search bar. Spell check would be a really useful addition as well.

Friendly support

Pros

Having a sandbox to train new employees has been really useful and the reports are helpful as well. Customer service has been excellent, the system is very user-friendly, adding new employees is simple and the link to PCC is a big plus.

Cons

Upgrades can be inconvenient at times and there are some flaws in closeout and hotlist scheduling. I also wish there were a way to pull from the waiting list for new admits.

accommodating support and updates

Pros

Keeping up with regulatory changes is one of the things this software does really well and the tech support has been invaluable whenever help is needed. The COM version also runs with very few glitches and when something does come up, it's usually corrected without much trouble.

Cons

The POC option does seem to have quite a few glitches. Some of the functionality could also be better if more fields were required before completing an e-signature.
