“Easy to navigate
Pros
Netsmart is extremely simple to use! The dashboard is well-organized and contains all the information I need within a single screen. Navigation is smooth as well and the entire system can be explored with just a mouse click. I really appreciate the automatic reminders that remind me of deadlines and timetables that I might otherwise overlook. The calendar app itself is very modern and simple to read. It contains all the details of every department and their upcoming as well as completed visits.
Cons
The Charting module feels disconnected from the rest of the software, which is quite frustrating to be honest. It feels like it was neglected during development as there are some inherent issues that even the excellent customer service hasn’t been able to solve. It is difficult to get in and out of charts, or move to schedules from charts, and there is a lot of back and forth to the homepage for simple tasks. This makes finding information quite difficult and oftentimes impossible to do unless I restart the system and do it all over again.

“Recommended for mobile physicians
Pros
I’m a diehard Android fan-physician, and for reasons that are quite obvious to someone like me (I travel cross-borders, and so I need device/platform flexibility), I don’t have much use for the Apple device ecosystem. Since 2018, I was searching for a mobile EHR that worked well on Android. And after several trials with other vendors, I’m glad I ended up subscribing to Netsmart. The no-nonsense application interface, which makes patient data-keeping easy is also great!
Cons
It would’ve been super if the provider had offered a trial run on the software because it is a bit high on the cost (especially when compared with my previous subscriptions). All I got during onboarding was the demo.

“Helpful for patient charts
Pros
Netsmart is very simple to use. I was quickly able to get a grip and start using the software with the least amount of training. If I have any problems, customer service provides me with clear instructions, which I can simply follow with this software. It also neatly arranged our patients charts. I keep the system available to all staff which has been quite beneficial. There is no need for an IT department in our hospital anymore. I love that it works on any device I have at hand since there are no hardware requirements or limitations.
Cons
I really like it that Netsmart can work completely offline in case we are in a field with spotty internet connection. But the switching between offline and online modes can be laggy and glitchy at times. There are occasions when sessions time out and the page returns to the login screen without saving my work. This becomes very frustrating at times. Thankfully, customer support team is very responsive and caring when it comes to their clients, I hope that they fix this issue soon as I’d love to keep using Netsmart.

“Netsmart outstanding database is amazing for both staff and clients
Pros
It offers an excellent database module that allows users to easily access client and personnel files as well as arrange different staff for shifts. Payroll processing is simple, and the possibilities are limitless. IT ticketing system, favorite browser saving, and reporting tools are also included. The auto-save function is quite simple, and we can be certain that we will not lose our data if the tablet crashes or if we leave the screen before sending the file to their server.
Cons
Although there are no apparent issues with Netsmart’s EHR software, at times the slowness of the network connectivity causes some glitches while performing some tasks. This also happens when too many users companywide are at the same address or working on the same file. This glitch occurs and presents itself differently, mostly depending on the browser the user is using. Other than that, there aren’t any teething issues that I or my team have encountered since we’ve been using it.

“Great customer service
Pros
Netsmart has a fantastic workflow that is simple to learn. It was the first time that we actually changed our workflow to suit a software’s since it was way more efficient than ours. It is simple to chart by selecting the type of visit from the home screen, filling out visit notes, and submitting them for QA. Customer service representatives are incredibly educated and helpful. Some days, I phone or email more than once a day, and they are always fast to respond and never ignore my issues. Even if its something basic that I should have easily sorted out on my own. I always feel respected as a customer and know I can rely on them.
Cons
It has weird scaling issues that make it tough to use on a mobile phone. This concerns us since our staff is mostly out in the field due to the nature of our work. It is difficult keeping tabs on them when they cannot update their work on the system. Its also not as well integrated with its partner billing system as I would want. These are still trivial issues and nothing compares to the benefits we have been able to get from its implementation in our system. I would appreciate it if the technical team could help me out with these issues.

“Love the patient portal
Pros
The patient portal is my favorite part of the software. I mostly work on the front end of patient scheduling, and I love how clients can fill out their records online and have them automatically uploaded into Netsmart. It helps you save a great deal of time. Very impressive work.
Cons
I dislike how much clicking is needed to view imported documents. It wastes a lot of time.

“Made everything easy for me
Pros
The software is extremely easy to use. The templates were created with practice specialty like ours in mind.
Cons
Its easy to see why Netsmart is regarded as one of the best medical software programs available in the world, but the expense of this software will cause people to look for other choices.

“I approve it
Pros
It has a lot of customization choices, excellent customer service, and simple guidelines on how to use and integrate with the other clinics/ labs/ scanning. Moreover, it is HIPAA compliant so a big help to us.
Cons
The price of start-up fees and recurring fees per user is high. For a small clinic, it is really costly. Instead, well have to rely on Practice Fusion or charm.

“A team fav tool
Pros
As a billing business, we found it simple to set up an interface for Practice Management software, and it is the only one we use that works perfectly bi-directionally. This app is simple to use. It is also easy to check the meaningful usage of the reports.
Cons
For my OB/GYN party, having the LMP date sent over with the patient charges would be extremely beneficial.

“Happy with our transition
Pros
It takes approximately 3 hours on average to train the staff. I really like it because it boosts our efficiency and productivity.
Cons
The fact that we have to update our passwords too often. We have to change the password every 90 days or so at the moment. Unless there is an issue, I would prefer to do it once a year.

“So far the best one
Pros
We particularly like the templates, as well as the fact that we can create our own templates that best suit our needs, and that support is always available. Team members are fantastic and always willing to assist. Its also easy to train new employees. It also has excellent reporting and customization features.
Cons
From when we first started using Netsmart, it has improved significantly. But there have been some recent changes, and while we acknowledge that they now have more customers, a little more one-on-one and faster customer service would be fantastic, just like in the old days.

“User-friendly
Pros
I really like the ease with which it can be used. Keeping the ICD 10 codes up to date. Ownership and operating costs are relatively modest. The support team responded quickly.
Cons
The failure to provide laboratory results in the encounter notes is a problem for us. The fax/EHR integration is also insufficient.
