Netsmart EHR Software

What is Netsmart EHR Software?

Overview

Netsmart's Electronic Health Record (EHR) software is designed to meet the needs of human services and post-acute care providers. It offers workflows and functionality that are purpose-built for these medical settings, allowing them to efficiently track services and measure outcomes. The platform also provides broader connectivity to the entire healthcare ecosystem, helping providers navigate changing value-based care models with solutions and services that make person-centered care a reality.

Netsmart's mobile EHR technology, further, allows organizations to document care anywhere, anytime, with or without internet connectivity. Additionally, the vendor’s public health EHR interface bridges gaps in information and supports advanced connectivity to eliminate manual processes in healthcare spaces.

What is Netsmart EHR best for?

Put briefly, Netsmart makes for an ideal EHR solution for organizations looking to provide person-centered care and increase efficiency; by way of an ambitious care orientation that is hard to pull off in practice with most digital medical record options available in the market.

Netsmart EHR Cost/Pricing

Netsmart EHR comes in a variety of plans and prices to meet the needs of different healthcare providers; with tariffs that are not available publicly. Generally, the subscription costs for different tiered vendor solutions vary depending on the size of your practice, the features you need, and other factors.

No free plan offering is available.

Small and midsize practices can expect to pay around $500* per month for an EMR subscription; though there is marked variation here with respect to the exact end-user scale requirement.

To obtain the latest default and custom (net) plan prices configured for your practice, click on the ‘Get Pricing’ button above.

Netsmart EHR Demo & Trial Offer

Netsmart EHR doesn’t come with a dedicated trial offer to allow you – as a potential subscriber – to experience the software in action.

The service does, however, come with a detailed demo screening which you can easily go through by clicking the ‘Watch Demo’ button above.

This latter option, as such, comes as a recommended, preliminary investment important for making you cognizant of everything that the platform may have in store for your healthcare facility.

How does Netsmart EHR work?

Netsmart operates on a cloud-based orientation that renders it low-maintenance on the hardware requirement front – only demanding of a reliable internet connection and a browser-compatible device.

Getting started with the system is easy and straightforward. Here are the steps a new user would typically take to start working on Netsmart EHR post-implementation:

STEP 1: Gain Platform Cognizance
Familiarize yourself with the full slate of Netsmart EHR features. The platform offers a variety of software training options designed to address different learning styles, scheduling needs, and skill levels. These official site tutorials can help you understand the interface’s capabilities in-depth and how it can be used to best suit your needs.

STEP 2: Set Up your Account
Once you have familiarized yourself with the software, you will need to set up an account in order to access it. This process is simple and only requires basic information such as your name, email address, and preferred password.

STEP 3: Login & Get Working!
Following the first login, it’s natural to take some time in learning the system’s ropes hands-on. Within a month’s time, you should be able to devise custom workflows designed to automate/streamline your clinical processes with marked efficiency.

A definite find for mobile physicians; would have liked a free trial

February 2023

Robert H.

New Pennsylvania Clinic, PA

Pros:
I’m a diehard Android fan-physician, and for reasons that are quite obvious to someone of my disposition (I travel cross-borders, and so I need device/platform flexibility), I don’t have much use for the Apple device ecosystem. Since 2018, I was searching for a mobile EHR that worked well on Android. And after several trials with other vendors, I’m glad I ended up subscribing to Netsmart. The no-nonsense application interface, which makes patient data-keeping a breeze, is also great!
Cons:
It would’ve been super if the provider had offered a trial run on the software because it is a bit high on the cost (especially when compared with my previous subscriptions). All I got during onboarding was the demo.

Netsmart outstanding database is amazing for both staff and clients

November 2022

Sammy K. Stokes

Hospital Admin

Pros:
The Netsmart EHR platform offers an excellent database module that allows users to easily access client and personnel files as well as arrange different staff for shifts. Payroll processing is simple, and the possibilities are limitless. IT ticketing system, favorite browser saving, and reporting tools are also included. The auto-save function is quite simple, and the user can be certain that they will not lose their data if the tablet crashes or if they leave the screen before sending the file to their server.
Cons:
Although there are no apparent issues with Netsmart’s EHR software, at times the slowness of the network connectivity causes some glitches while performing some tasks. This also happens when too many users companywide are at the same address or working on the same file. This glitch occurs and presents itself differently, mostly depending on the browser the user is using. Other than that, there aren’t any teething issues that I or my team have encountered since we’ve been using it.

User friendly.

May 2022

Jesus

Andrew Levine MDPA

Pros:
Anyone in the office can use it with ease. It is very user-friendly. I highly recommend it.
Cons:
Having to update the password on a regular basis is such a drag.

Great patient portal.

April 2022

Megan

Surgical Specialists

Pros:
The patient portal is my favorite part of the software. I mostly work on the front end of patient scheduling, and I love how clients can fill out their records online and have them automatically uploaded into Netsmart. It helps you save a great deal of time. Very impressive work.
Cons:
I dislike how much "clicking" is needed to view imported documents. It wastes a lot of time.

Makes life easier.

March 2022

Beverly

ASUASM

Pros:
The software is extremely easy to use. The templates were created with the practice's specialty in mind.
Cons:
It's easy to see why Netsmart is regarded as one of the best medical software programs available in the world, but the expense of this software will cause people to seek other choices.

Not good enough

April 2021

Kenneth

UCLA

Pros:
It has all the basic features but nothing extra
Cons:
It is difficult to customize it. You need to click many times before any chart opens. We are not enjoying it.

Not a practical choice

April 2021

Pawan

Momentum

Pros:
It has a lot of useful features like automatically showing the patient history when you search for it.
Cons:
They need better templates and it is more targeted towards a general physician's practice.

Great for nurses

April 2021

Pros:
A user friendly screen you can get used to immediately. Comfortable for completing diagnosis and writing reports.

Amanda

Empower Psych Centers LLC

Pros:
My two favorite features are the ability to e-prescribe and the patient scorecard. Love its ease of use.
Cons:
When seeing a patient, it's difficult to navigate past visit notes or imported papers. I wish there were more options for customization.

Amazing customer support.

April 2021

carolina Healthchoice

Pros:
The customer service has been incredible. They are accessible and supportive.
Cons:
It differs significantly from other EHR applications and needs some time to get familiarized with.

Neutral.

April 2021

Sharon

Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care

Pros:
New features are released often, but they are not features that we use frequently.
Cons:
Everything is a product idea proposal, and you never hear back from them on when or how it will be executed.

Free trial user.

April 2021

Shannon

Woodstock Natural Health Clinic

Pros:
It has a lot of customization choices, excellent customer service, and simple guidelines on how to use and integrate with the other clinics/ labs/ scanning. Moreover, it is HIPAA compliant.
Cons:
The price of start-up fees and recurring fees per user is high. For a small clinic, it is prohibitively costly. Instead, we'll have to rely on Practice Fusion or charm.

Our favorite.

April 2021

Kelly

Clean Claim MD, LLC

Pros:
As a billing business, we found it simple to set up an interface for Practice Management software, and it is the only one we use that works perfectly bi-directionally. This app is simple to use. It is also easy to check the meaningful usage of the reports.
Cons:
For my OB/GYN party, having the LMP date sent over with the patient charges would be extremely beneficial.

Excellent.

April 2021

Carol

Pulmonology and Sleep Services of San Antonio LLC

Pros:
CMS standards are met, results are excellent, and physicians are pleased with the programme. They provide training whenever required.
Cons:
We don't have many problems which aren't fixed after we record them. I'm at a loss for this one.

Easy transition.

April 2021

Debbie

Golden Triangle Family Care Center

Pros:
It takes approximately 3 hours on average to train the staff. This software boosts efficiency and productivity.
Cons:
The fact that we have to update our passwords too often. We have to change the password every 90 days or so at the moment. Unless there is an issue, I would prefer to do it once a year.
