Amazing EHR but some features create problems

Pros

This EMR caters to most of the requirements of a clinic. The layout being straightforward is a bonus!

Cons

This EMR does not provide sufficient documentation for their software. Customer service can certainly be improved. Choosing to rely on this EMR for going 100% paperless may not be the best decision. The iPad application is average but not as satisfactory as on a desktop.

I am in the market for a new EMR!

Pros

When we initially got Nextech we loved it because it was specifically catering to plastic surgery practices. However, now we do not feel prioritized and do not get a response from their tech support when we need it!

Cons

They do not have good customer support anymore and are more focused on billing than the actual product!

I am switching to a new EMR and Nextech has made it impossible for our practice to receive our data.

Pros

Initially valued for its targeted support the product now feels impersonal making it challenging to receive proper tech and customer support.

Cons

Customer service and tech support have shifted focus to insurance billing neglecting clinical and scheduling needs.

Great user-friendly experience

Pros

One of the best things about Nextech is that it keeps working to improve user experience by constantly fixing bugs and issuing upgrades that make charting easier than ever. Navigation throughout the system is easy. The staff is kind and always willing to help you. They are efficient in problem-solving and will patiently work with you until you get the desired results. I have had a poor experience with other vendors prior to this which makes Nextech feel like a blessing now. The system is set up brilliantly for our specialty which makes my job easier. The practice management portion is very well rounded. All the details are set up in a way that enhances productivity and saves time.

Cons

Financial history reports are summarized in such a way that not only states all provide and services but also allows you to compare to that of the year before. Each report would need to be separate for every provider and every year ending in several different reports.

Great software

Pros

Having used Cerner at one point, I can testify that Nextech has stark superiority over it in terms of user interface and ease of use. It allows the charting process to be done in half the time courtesy of its customization feature.

Cons

Customer support is rather inconsistent even though the staff is great if you are lucky to get access. Sometimes you get an operator who is able to help you or is kind enough to refer you to someone who can OR you get someone with no clue how to help and doesnt bother directing you to someone either.
