Pros
NextGen offers the flexibility for customization but might require additional investment for modifications by either hiring a programmer or paying for services.

High quality affordable EMR system.
High quality affordable EMR system.
Pros
I found NextGen easy to maneuver, offering high-quality functionality and extensive integration platforms. Its high customizability proved immensely useful.
Cons
The aesthetic leaves much to be desired. As an outdated 32-bit application, it needs a modern update akin to EPIC. Its interface feels clunky, requiring more clicks compared to other EMR systems. Additionally, the permission settings could benefit from a thorough overhaul to prevent potential mistakes.

The complete EHR package at a bargain!
The complete EHR package at a bargain!
Pros
If you’re a specialty clinic on a budget looking for a complete EHR package (minus any nonsense features you never really need), NextGen is the way to go.
Cons
Customer support needs improvement (although they do help when they’re finally reached).

Our outpatient’s thriving with NextGen
Our outpatient’s thriving with NextGen
Pros
There isn’t much wrong with NextGen; it’s been working out great for us in our ambulatory care clinic. Our revenue figures have certainly seen a shoring up ever since we signed up.
Cons
There are a lot of navigating requirements with the system between the EHR and PM modules.

NextGen is flawlessly architected
NextGen is flawlessly architected
Pros
This software not only caters to all aspects of EHR and administrative tasks in medical practices but also optimizes providers' time, redirecting focus towards patient care.
Cons
I wish there were more open APIs to facilitate software development with compatible proprietary products. Fortunately, NextGen seems open to exploring such opportunities.
