What is NextGen Enterprise EHR Software?

Overview

NextGen Enterprise EHR – part of the NextGen Healthcare family of medical software solutions – makes for the perfect, all-process-encompassing, medical software solution for mid-sized to large ambulatory care practices. From its personalized and configurable clinical content, intuitive workflows, integrated patient experience platform, and telehealth capabilities – this customizable clinicians' interface seems to offer pretty much all (and at bargain prices).

What is NextGen Enterprise Best For?

NextGen Enterprise is best for/narrowly designed for use in ambulatory care medical settings, such as outpatient clinical departments such as OPDs – spanning small, mid-sized, and large-scale, enterprise-level, facilities.
The platform’s recommended scope of implementation (best-use scenario) is different from NextGen Office, the other prominent mention from NextGen Healthcare, which has been specifically developed for use in small-sized practices.

NextGen Enterprise Pricing

NextGen Healthcare has not publicized the pricing info for the subscription, but according to our own assessments (based on the verified user reviews collected both on this platform and other prominent review sites), starting NextGen Enterprise costs to figure in the $300*-$545* per provider per month range – with different tiers set for healthcare providers such as outpatient physicians and nurses.

How Does NextGen Enterprise EHR Work?

As an AWS cloud-based, SaaS, service, NextGen Enterprise EHR works – technically – via the interplay of various programming languages such as Java, .NET, and JavaScript. The software is also compatible with different operating systems like Windows and Mac OS X. It can be accessed through web browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer.
The platform's design and workflow features, in turn, are based on/function on top of this framework.

Who Is NextGen Enterprise For?

NextGen Enterprise makes for the ideal, comprehensive, EHR choice for ambulatory practices hosting at least 10 active patient caregivers catering to dynamic patient population demographics. These settings can typically take the form of:

Urban/Rural Practices of Single/Grouped Healthcare Providers

In addition to implementations/subscription deployments in metropolitan/urban healthcare centers, the platform provides stellar patient health management in rural and town clinical backdrops.

Integrated Patient Experience Platform Managers/Maintainers

Healthcare facilities looking for a solid, no-nonsense, practice management option can also reap sizeable dividends – in terms of seeing better patient engagement and satisfaction levels – through a NextGen Enterprise subscription.

How is NextGen Enterprise different from other EMRs/EHRs?

What sets NextGen Enterprise apart from other healthcare organizations is its integrated, ambulatory-practice-first, design approach. Another key benefit provided by the platform is its stellar scalability; making healthcare extension possible for practice chains that aspire for growth.

Is NextGen Enterprise Right For You?

As mentioned in previous sections, the subscription may be right/suited for your organization if it functions as an ambulatory care center. As such, it comes with all the features and service components geared to guarantee healthcare success in the outpatient setting.
Ultimately, however, the best way to decide if the subscription is right for your practice is to schedule a demo. Alternatively, you could reach out to our friendly customer service team via the helpline number (661) 384-7070 to learn exactly how NextGen Enterprise could work for your facility.

Being able to access vital patient health data in one place and sharing/retrieving it from other providers allows physicians to greatly rev up the quality of care provided to their clients. The platform, in sync with its other features, works wonders for connected practices on this front.

With an award-winning interface designed to distill value-based patient care, NextGen Enterprise enables doctors to focus more on the therapeutic welfare of their communities – and less on the automatable, documentary, working concerns. Further, the software is well-suited for EHR use in specialty practice settings.

This service function, again, equips healthcare providers with more time to focus on their patients, with tools such as convenient virtual command and dictation enablement as well as quick SOAP notes-taking.

Pros

NextGen is an easy to use and user-friendly system. One thing I like the most about it is that it records everything, like what and when something is get done by an individual.

Cons

One thing that I dislike the most is that there is no mechanism to catch errors for Self-Pay issues.

Pros

NextGen is great tool that allows us to customize it as per our needs. But for all the modifications additional investment is required or you must hire a programmer who knows the process.

Cons

If you do not have a programmer on staff then keep in mind you will have to spend a lot of money in order to customize it which may not be suitable for small businesses.

Pros

As per my experience I found NextGen easy to maneuver. Plus it has high-quality functionality and wide range of integration platforms. Also the software is easy to customize and proven to be very useful for us.

Cons

The aesthetics of the software is not the best. As an outdated 32-bit application, we feel like it needs a modern update something similar to EPIC software. Plus its interface feels a bit clunky which requires more clicks compared to other EMR systems. Additionally the permission settings could benefit from a thorough overhaul to prevent potential mistakes.

Pros

If you run a clinic and, on a budget and looking for a complete EHR package (eliminating any nonsense features you never really need), NextGen is the way to go as per me.

Cons

Customer support is not the best. Like when needed, we never get a support instantly. (although they do help when they are finally reached).

The NextGen Enterprise software has its pros. Like it is been working out great for us in our ambulatory care clinic. Our revenue figures have been getting better and better ever since we signed up.

Cons

Navigation is not as easy as I expected in the beginning. Plus the price for customization is also a bit too high. Rest is ok!

Pros

This EHR software not only caters to all aspects of our EHR and administrative tasks in medical practices but also saves our providers time which eventually allow them to focus towards patient care.

Cons

I just wish there were more open APIs that allows software development with compatible proprietary products. And the best thing is that NextGen seems open to exploring such opportunities.
