Great for pediatric practice
Great for pediatric practice
Pros
Office Practicum software is built in consideration with a pediatric specialty with specialized features. It is super easy to learn how to use and train the staff with minimum effort. You do not need a separate screen to access pediatric features. Customer support has been more than helpful with any issues weve had.
Cons
The messages feature within the system is not as functional as one would want, but the company has been reassuring that it will be improved in the upcoming upgrades. The customer service is not easily accessible. Call hold times are very long sometimes, although the support staff is always helpful.

Great for a pediatrician’s office
Great for a pediatrician’s office
Pros
Office Practicum is highly flexible which is among its many selling points. It is super user-friendly. No learning curve so training the staff to operate is quite simple. So far, everyone including providers and staff members loves working with this service.
Cons
Creating a report is not entirely intuitive which can make it time-consuming. The same with printing, it takes up time. You have to send documents to a webpage first to be able to get a print.

Pros
The customer service is really nice. The way they respond to my questions makes me happy. I really like their politeness and the employees always help solve any issues related to hardware or software.
Cons
Its really hard to trace back credits and applying them to accounts. There should be a feature to add procedures to existing bills when needed, and the rejected bills should be a little more clear about their statements in each claim.

Among my favorite EHR systems
Among my favorite EHR systems
Pros
The software is easy to use and functional. However, the OS is a little old now and could use advancements but it is a lot better in comparison to most EHR software I have used. The working of Office Practicum is quite logical and intuitive, such as the organization of different categories. In that regard, it works like huge companies in the EHR market. Billing with OP is very simple and efficient. The medication aspect is very functional, filling and refilling prescriptions and allergies is quite easy.
Cons
Some of the related features are arranged together and require a few extra steps. Like the PMH, allergies and Problems categories. The EHR system requires too many clicks to get basic tasks done but it is the same most EHRs. All in all, it is a decent platform.

OP is a great pediatric EMR!
OP is a great pediatric EMR!
Pros
It has a lot of great features. It saves a lot of manpower. We can communicate with parents and patients easily through the portal, which is time-saving. This EMR is tailored according to the pediatrics field. The responsiveness of the staff is highly appreciated. It has made life easier in many ways like billing, chart documentation, communication etc. There are a lot of features that we still havent used, but overall were happy with the product.
Cons
The scan review feature needs a little adjustment or amendments, as it takes a lot of clicking to get through the scanning process, though the scan review feature is better than the paper system we used before.

Meets all my Pediatric practice needs
Pros
I love how Office Practicum offers all pediatric specialty features which makes it incredibly easy to perform day to day tasks. The system is very user-friendly, navigation around the software is easy. Reporting is simple and intuitive, with a lot of helpful features. The software has so much to offer, we still have not utilized all of the functionalities, such as the patient portal and MU. Their customer support staff is brilliant. You can call them at any time, email or system chat, they are always available and readily willing to help with any and all issues with the system. There is a list of servers with different offices so that you can tally how things are done there and see if there is an easier way for you to perform yours. Their annual conferences are very insightful and interactive with sessions to bounce new ideas, propose changes and learn.
Cons
Billing reports were not the easiest to understand, initially. Though, a little training helped.

Pros
We have found Office Practicum software to be extremely easy to navigate and intuitive. The system has a lot of innovative functionalities that cater to practices of all sizes. The interface is dynamic and well-laid out, it makes data entry and everyday documentations very quick and unproblematic. Retrieving patient records is a breeze. I would highly recommend this software to large healthcare facilities with huge patient databases.
Cons

Great product with a simple layout
Pros
Unlike most EHR software, OP is very easy to learn to navigate. The system has so many different tools and features that leave all competitors way behind. The working is very efficient and intuitive. Has saved us a lot of time and effort ever since we started on it.
Cons
Customer service is good however, the company does need a better IT assisting staff to help with the day-to-day glitches. Their existing one is rather inconsistent. We could use more training and user-help articles and tutorial videos online to eliminate the need of having to reach out for support. The system is great but they need to work on their support.

Wonderful experience
Wonderful experience
Pros
I have used Office Practicum only for a brief period of time in a remote pediatric clinic and I have been a fan ever since. I have had little to no prior experience with EMR software before this but this software was so easy to use, it did not feel hard or complex like I anticipated. It took me only a while to learn all the ropes, I love the user-friendly layout. Their customer support staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons
I found the IT department to be rather inept and unreliable which was probably the only downside to using this otherwise brilliant system. Any small glitch required a significant amount of time of wait to be resolved and that made things a little inconvenient.

Waste of money. Awful staff
Waste of money. Awful staff
Pros
After the kind of experience I have had, it is hard for me to recall any good things about this system. I suppose duplication of patient appointments into the scheduling chart was simple with the drag/drop option. That is about the extent of it.
Cons
The office practicum company has the most awful and unresourceful support staff I have ever come in contact with. They never have any clue how to fix an issue. They always close cases without resolving the problem. The report they send you will have descriptions of anything but the answer to your questions. Every little task requires too many clicks and steps to completion. The prescription section makes no sense whatsoever. The whole system has no sense of arrangement. Everything is dragged out. The nurses find refill prescriptions very hard. There are infinite glitches all over the system and the company staff will offer no real help. The information either overlaps or is inconsistent in different places. It is impossible to keep up.

Perfect for pediatric practice. Highly commendable service
Perfect for pediatric practice. Highly commendable service
Pros
JOP offers just the best and most extensive features out of all specialty EMRs, OP comes stacked with more than 200 pediatric-explicit "sick visit layouts, vaccination gauging, electronic school and camp structures alongside pediatric formative assessments, reviews and illness explicit activity plans. Ive utilized Office Practicum for more than fifteen years and can say with certainty that it is structured specifically for pediatrics, with features and tools pediatricians need to both keep kids solid and improve the care quality. With that said, it is user-friendly, dynamic and very efficient.
Cons
Cannot think of any cons to this system. It is the perfect software for pediatricians and I wish all pediatric clinics used it. Their customer support is very courteous and always available to help with any kinds of questions and issues.

Great software for pediatric practice
Great software for pediatric practice
Pros
I love the ease OP has introduced in our pediatric practice. Having all the patient data records in one mainframe makes it a whole lot easier for us to locate any information from charts to graphs conveniently within a matter of minutes. I like how it allows me to overview any changed and a staff comment section. This has made it a lot easier for the staff and providers to be on the same page.
Cons
the software can come off as a little cumbersome and overwhelming sometimes. There are too many things happening on one page which can make navigation a challenge. But once you get the hang of things, it works quite smoothly.

Truly brilliant service. great value for money
Pros
Office Practicum software is pediatric-specific. The creators have worked in structures that are customized to satisfy the needs of pediatric practices. As times and necessities from various offices change, the architects rush to address these new difficulties. It is anything but difficult to utilize. There has been no difficulty in training nurses, doctors and front office without any issues. It likewise has approaches to monitor privacy matters. We can do everything that we have to do on the product. You can have your very own customized features included effectively and make your own formats for nearly everything which is excessively simple.
Cons
Some additional features require you to pay additional charges, such as cloud storage, or appointment reminder emails to patients. Some simple tasks require excessive clicks. The workflow could be a little more streamlined to save time.

Reliable. Brilliant for long term use.
Pros
I am the least tech savvy person and even I have this system on my fingertips. It is extremely user-friendly. I find myself well-equipped to operate even the parts of the software that aren’t in my job description. I have been using OP for two decades now and it has grown more powerful and efficient over the years. Tracking tasks for patient’s visits, entering payments, requesting tests to labs or in-house, notes and prescriptions is a breeze with Office Practicum. The platform has so much to offer to your practice if utilized its full potential.

Slow and full of glitches
Pros
Office Practicum is fairly simple to navigate. Not too complex. The software is cost-effective for small practices. Their training staff is good. Kind and knowledgeable. Customer service is also nice and readily available.
Cons
The product is terribly under-designed. There are too many glitches in every single feature and function all over the system. It does cost a small amount but the amount of time it takes for installation and implementation is too much. Not at all suitable for Meaningful Use. There are so many internet troubles with it. We had to hire new staff members to help with it to transition off of the impeccable software we used before this.

Pros
What makes Office Practicum exceptional is how dedicated the whole company, from the highest in command down to the reps, is to provide the best service for their clients. They specialize in pediatrics and they deliver tailored to perfection service to make a pediatrician’s work a dozen times easier. I particularly love the patient portal. A great way to communicate better with our patients. Billing and charting are easier and more efficient than ever with OP. They have helped make our practice immensely more effective and organized.
Cons

Transitioning from paper records to Office practicum was a lot easier than we anticipated. Their team is extraordinary in responding and resolving our issues.

OP Pediatric EHR review
OP Pediatric EHR review
Pros
The best part of this EHR system is that it is for pediatrics only. Weve been using it for 9 years. They welcome feedback, and are always improving and working to keep their clients happy. Theyre always innovating and are also up to date with all the regulatory changes that impact the pediatric practice such as e-prescription, HIEs, meaningful use etc. We are really happy with Office Practicum.
Cons
The clinical side of this EHR is quite strong in comparison to the practice management part of it. There have been quite a lot of changes in the electronic health record industry, and Office Practicum has seen all and struggled a lot, and now with time they have become quite wise in this matter, and we hope that theyll always be improving.

Great product with a simple layout

Cons

Slow and full of glitches

Pros
OP is the best pediatric software on the market. There is an array of pediatric-specific features and functions that make everyday tasks very easy to accomplish. Office practicum has the most incredible immunization algorithm. It updates instantly every time to reflect ACIP recommendations. Customer support is top-notch, they are always improving their performance. The staff is polite and provides timely answers to any and all queries.
Cons
integration with hospital-based systems/clinically integrated networks can be a hassle. I hope they soon make improvements on that front

The best pediatric EMR out there
The best pediatric EMR out there
Cons
We had paper records before so anything OP does slow is still better than that by a huge margin. Although, I do wish they would fix the scan review feature as it requires too many clicks

Perfect EMR solution for our practice
Pros
The software has been a dream to work with. We have been using it for more than four years and it has never caused us any major trouble. It took us some thorough research before landing on OP and that decision has paid off over the years. Pediatricians and staff love it. Transitioning from paper records to Office practicum was a lot easier than we anticipated. Their team is extraordinary in responding and resolving our issues.
Cons
pulling out messages takes forever which is sometimes frustrating. Though, it could be a server problem or an isolated issue with the software.
