Overview
OPDly gives hospital owners remote access to departmental collections and calculated doctor earnings. However, reviewing live figures requires an internet connection. Daily summaries provide a regular collection update, while detailed reports let owners examine payment methods, unpaid balances, and refunds behind the totals.

OPDly Features
Digital Prescription
Doctors record consultation details and prescribe medicines with dosage, timing, route, and duration. OPDly recalls previously used prescription details and supports saved visit templates. Prescriptions print on the practice’s letterhead, with headings and dosing instructions available in 10 languages. Patients can access prescriptions from a WhatsApp visit link. Setting a follow-up date automatically creates an appointment, while prescribed medicines and tests reach the pharmacy and laboratory.
Appointments And OPD Queue
Reception books walk-ins or schedules future visits with specified arrival times. Patients booked ahead receive tokens when they check in. Each doctor has a separate token series that resets nightly. The shared queue displays waiting, active, and completed visits. Staff can reschedule appointments, accept online booking requests, and export daily appointment lists.
Billing And Invoicing
Bills opened from a visit include the patient and doctor’s consultation fee automatically. Saved services supply their prices and tax settings. Staff can record partial payments, mark Pay Later, or split payments across four methods. OPDly also supports backdated bills and reason-coded refunds. Departmental bills can print as one combined statement, with PDF and WhatsApp sharing options.
Pharmacy And Stock Management
Barcode scanning and medicine searches let pharmacy staff add items to bills. OPDly selects the earliest-expiring batch first and blocks sales of expired stock. Purchases update batch quantities, expiry dates, and prices. Customer returns restore stock automatically, while supplier ledgers track outstanding amounts. Staff can also record purchase returns and generate GST sales, purchase, and batch-wise stock registers.
Laboratory Management
OPDly features laboratory orders for walk-ins and tests requested during consultations. Staff can add tests, packages, and profiles to the catalog. Sample tracking supports barcode labels, rejection, and redraws. Results can include in-house entries or uploaded external PDFs. Reports print on the laboratory’s letterhead and can combine several visits. Patients receive secure report links on WhatsApp.
Reports And Finance
Collection reports show daily receipts and net cash by doctor and department. Owners can review pharmacy and laboratory profit, including outsourced tests. OPDly also calculates doctor earnings and the hospital’s share. Financial figures remain accessible remotely, while an evening summary email provides the owner with a daily collection update without opening the dashboard.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can reception register patients who do not want WhatsApp notifications?
Yes, receiving a WhatsApp notification is optional. Staff can complete registration without sending one when a patient declines. Patients can also block subsequent notifications by replying STOP to OPDly’s messaging number.
Which printers does OPDly support for bills?
Practices can use standard printers for A4 and A5 bills or a 58mm thermal printer for receipts. Staff can also generate a PDF copy instead of sending the bill to a printer.
Can staff access records after the subscription expires?
Yes, when a subscription expires, the account switches to read-only access. Staff retain access to existing information, but creating or modifying records requires renewal. OPDly states that the records remain stored during this period.
Are OPDly subscription payments refundable?
Under the published terms, subscription charges remain non-refundable even when an account holder leaves before the billing period ends. Downgrading or account suspension does not qualify unused time for reimbursement. Any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded still apply.
Does a booked appointment slot guarantee the consultation order?
An appointment slot indicates when the patient should arrive; it does not reserve their consultation position. Check-in determines the token assignment. Patients who arrive late therefore enter the queue according to their actual check-in.
Can existing records be transferred into OPDly?
Yes, practices switching systems can send an Excel or CSV export to the OPDly team for free migration assistance. Pharmacy staff also have a self-service option: populate the medicine import template and upload it. Repeating an import does not duplicate the entries.
Can doctors correct a prescription after completing a consultation?
No, doctors cannot directly edit a finalized consultation. Instead, the doctor or owner records the correction as a dated addendum. That addition appears on the prescription while preserving the original consultation record.
Does OPDly support inpatient admissions and bed management?
No, OPDly currently focuses on outpatient consultations, appointments, billing, pharmacy, and laboratory workflows. The vendor does not list inpatient admissions, bed allocation, or ward management among its published features.
What happens when a patient leaves the consultation for a test?
Selecting 'Send Back' pauses the consultation and places the patient back in the queue without discarding their notes. Their token remains unchanged. The doctor can attend to someone else and reopen the paused visit when the patient returns.
