Cons

It is not capable to have numerous patients notes open at one time. It takes a handle of different clicks to see a patients past notes.

Pros

It has a lot of features that if they were working would have been a wonderful addition to our clinic.

Cons

There is inconsistency in the reports. Often the information does not match and we get errors which remain unresolved for weeks.

Pros

It has a proper format that is easy to follow. It is also fully customizable as you can modify it according to your personal likings.

Cons

It takes multiple clicks to open a patients profile. I am also unable to open several patients notes at a time.

Great usability before recent update
Pros

Optima is very easy to work with using any device. It makes documenting for all of the clinicians easy while saving time.

Cons

Our company has had a hard time getting issues resolved in a timely manner ever since they updated the software. It seems as if this update was done prior to figuring out the quirks.

Pros

Love the ease of use and customer support. I really like how colorful the platform is, makes it easier to find things. The tabs are organized like a paper chart. Hospice is complex enough that we dont need a hard to use program.

Good product.
Pros

The IDG procedure is valuable and extremely simple and supportive for everybody to follow. I like the incorporation of the care configuration issues and evaluations.

Cons

There should be a training module available for users to easily learn the system and use it. The admission and discharge processed could be improved and made smoother. The online help section is not helpful at all. We were told that the system could be configured and customized according to our needs, but it cannot be customized or personalized as much as we would want it to.

Pros

Very user-friendly. Customer support is prompt and actively helpful. They are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure our questions are answered and understood. I appreciate they take the time to work with us on a one to one basis if necessary to solve any issues or concerns we may have.

Cons

The system is not as intuitive as it should be. Some simple tasks take too many unnecessary steps which can easily be avoided.

The ease of its use. The availability of staff yo assist with problems. The team is personable and good at explaining the systems use.

Cons

I would like more options in the future that allow all staff access to see the patients info. The change in the system slowed payments at the beginning of this year.

Highly beneficial tool
Pros

Love the ease Optima billing has brought into our practice. I also like its specialty-specific features. I like the fact that I no longer have to keep up with several pieces of paper for both schedule and timesheets at the same time.

Cons

That its taking me so long to learn all the features. But then again new things are added all the time so I just have to keep up.

Pros

love the functionality. Each section is fairly intuitive and flows smoothly. There are a lot of functions that work seamlessly together which is nice.

Cons

Not the easiest to learn. It can be confusing figuring out where certain functions are located however software support is usually very helpful in helping us figure out where to find each function.

Superb support
Pros

That it remains compliant with COPs and our accreditation of ACHC. They are continuously rolling out with updates and software improvements.

Cons

The screen appears small and hard to read on the smartphone and tablet version, even on an IPAD mini2. Need to offer the training sessions maybe twice a week for new employees coming on.

Three months of use
Pros

With Optima therapy I’ve been able to have a proper work-life balance, and it has only been three months. The customer support is superb. The system is quite simple and effective which actually helps me do better patient care. With this tool, I get more time to see my patients and their family members.

Cons

A couple of changes to note input from the calendar page would be perfect with respect to social worker sections to improve usability and work hour exactness.

Pros

The customer support team is extraordinary to work with. The system itself is pretty easy to use. I love the living design of care. It guarantees our POC keep awake to date.

Cons

The timeframe takes to record a standard nurse visit. Anyway, HospiceSoft is in accordance with all the different EMRs that we have looked at.
