A scheduler's dream calendar

Pros

Combines care coordination, expanded telehealth and live client information all in one single easy-to-use system. It pulls all the pieces together so teams can operate more smoothly, avoid repeating work and achieve stronger client results. It's also helpful for rural and tribal health programs by simplifying service tracking, referral handling and keeping departments and providers linked.

Cons

Once the contract was signed, the sales rep kept pushing to enable e-payments, despite the tribal government we were working with not using ACH. It led to some unnecessary pressure during the onboarding phase. In the end the issue got sorted out.

simplifying care for rural teams

Pros

All of Opus' features are available. The program is fast and support is quick to respond to any questions I have. Being able to replay the training videos is a major perk!

Cons

The report printing is clunky. Would rather have PDF output and a simpler way to enter and print therapists' pay hours.

Smooth and simple transition

Pros

The Opus team's support is excellent. They really collaborate to troubleshoot until an issue is resolved. They also take their time walking you through their processes.

Cons

Some parts of the layout are hard to read like the grey text. Also the billing screens can be visually confusing and tough to follow.

It was super simple to learn and get around. The team we worked with was friendly and really helpful throughout. Our providers picked it up quickly which cut down a lot of the stress we've dealt with using other platforms.

Cons

We had hoped both forms would be completely finished before launch. There was enough to train our people but it would have been helpful if a few minor things had been ironed out first.

So many training sessions and onboarding meetings are making us more than ready to confidently and effectively understand and use it.

Cons

The only problem so far is that my two onboarding specialists weren't aware 'Auto-Pay' existed as a feature to handle automatic billing while the person who sold and demoed the platform to us clearly mentioned it. It was frustrating to hear that important discrepancy and to learn they didn't know whether I'd actually have access to auto-pay. We're still waiting confirmation on whether it's included. That said, both onboarding reps did reassure me that if it was shown during the demo, it's expected to be part of the platform!

OPUS's team made a tough transition much smoother and stayed by our side through almost every single step of the process.

Cons

We would have appreciated them taking a bit more charge during some meetings for instance the CRM setup calls. Our team didn't really know what to do,so stepping in to lead, explain and guide us more would've saved a lot of time.

It's very user-friendly. Creating forms was simple to get the hang of. Our Onboarder is incredibly dedicated, patient and supportive. She's an excellent teacher.

Cons

The OPUS crew was highly professional and paid close, individualized attention to every detail. They tailored their system to fit our practice's specific requirements in a way we hadn't seen from any other EHR in behavioral health. Plus their built-in CRM stood out and it made it easy to follow a client from the initial phone inquiry through their last appointment. Truly impressive!!

Cons

Ultimately we decided to keep our existing EHR due to the internal complexities of our team and workflow. It had supplied everything we wanted and went above and beyond to give us assurances that they could meet our needs. We have nothing negative to say about working with the team or their platform.

a partner, not just a vendor

Pros

With about 60-70 people, our team was wary of switching EHRs because we'd dealt with vendors who promised a lot and delivered little. OPUS, though has been reliable, thoughtful and effective. They took the time to answer every question and concern from our staff before we signed on. The platform itself is straightforward and easy to use, which every demo made clear. I haven't seen another vendor that pairs EHR and CRM so well or that offers as many customization choices for specific features or reports to fit a practice.

Cons

Given how innovative they are, I expect they're already working on showing custom reports in a tidy, easy-to-scan dashboard instead of as spreadsheets.

Effortless use, minor navigation quirk

Pros

It is very easy to use. Their support team has been really helpful.

Cons

When switching locations it jumps back to the home screen instead of staying on the same view. For example, if viewing patients in one location and you switch to another to see clients, the screen resets to home rather than remaining on the patients list.

Our team thinks it looks great and is easy to use. We really like the client messaging, scheduling, appointment reminders and thorough client record tools.

Cons

Main issue during rollout was slow response to problems. There were times clients got reminders in the middle of the night (1am-4am) or messages never arrived. These glitches stayed unresolved for weeks. When something had to be sent up to developers it usually took two weeks or longer to get fixed. That lag created a lot of inconvenience and frustration for both clients and staff.

Linking clinicians made simple

Pros

Can link a clinician to every patient. The patient records are straightforward and simple to get around.

Cons

It would be great if info clients enter on intake could automatically transfer into the patient record. Right now having to copy and paste from the intake form into the patient profile is kind of annoying.
