Manage patient records

Pros

As an early adopter I found Practice Fusions transition to electronic medical records vital for our small practice. It was initially offered for free but it was far from being a cheap solution.

Cons

Surprisingly the initial free offer made it seem less valuable than it truly was.

Good for small practices

Pros

Practice fusion is great software, especially for small practices that have a smaller budget. This tool does the job and helps you save money as well. The tool is straightforward and user-friendly. It’s not much fancy but saves a lot in comparison to many other EHRs.

Cons

Practice Fusion is not the most ideal EHR for optometry, albeit we found a way to make it work for us. It would be great if they add more practice management features to it.

Patients have the capability to schedule appointments easily and receive reminders via email.

Cons

E-prescribing proves excessively cumbersome taking longer than the simple act of writing out a prescription. Support is horrendous taking days for a response and crashes are a frequent occurrence.

Practice Fusion

Pros

I like the filter feature, it helps me filter appointments by the provider, pending, canceled, or arrived. It lets us send email or text patient reminders, and we can also upload documents to files.

Cons

It is a bit slow. It is unable to add multiple insurance cases the label of active or inactive. The uploaded files need to be approved from another screen. It also doesn’t add separate pinned notes. It would be great if they add a feature in which we can create new cases saving old insurances.
