Practice Fusion

Practice Fusion integrates with FollowMyHealth, Veradigm's patient-facing personal health record (PHR), to give patients secure access to their health information outside the clinic. Patients can review their own health information, check lab and diagnostic results, and book appointments. Providers can also securely share post-care education.

Charting templates in Practice Fusion can be customized to match a practice's preferred way of documenting patient visits. The system includes keyword-based search for diagnosis codes, so a provider isn't scrolling through an entire code set mid-visit. With specialty-specific flowsheets, it also lets providers track a patient's health data longitudinally. Additionally, it supports integrated dictation and transcription, including compatibility with Dragon and uploaded audio files, allowing clinicians to create notes with less manual typing while keeping voice recordings organized within the patient record.

Practice Fusion enables providers to order laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging directly from the patient's chart. Once the tests are done, results are delivered electronically into the EHR, where abnormal values are flagged to help providers quickly identify findings that require follow-up. Results can then be shared securely with patients through the integrated patient portal. Clinical information and diagnostic reports can also be exchanged with referring providers to support coordinated care without relying on paper records or manual faxing.

Practice Fusion's integrated medical billing software helps practices manage revenue cycle tasks alongside clinical workflows within the same platform. It supports claim creation and tracking, payment posting, insurance enrollment, financial reporting, and an integrated clearinghouse to streamline claims processing. For practices that prefer to outsource revenue cycle management, Practice Fusion also offers optional billing services, where a dedicated billing team assists with tasks such as claims submission, denial management, payer credentialing, and financial reporting.
